Chapter 583 - Chapter 583: Chat's concerns

"So now what?" Stacey asked curiously as Adam left the conference call.

"Now we relax and wait until we can use the experimental drive to jump to Fenix Nest," Adam replied before adding, "End stream."

"Affirmative, ending stream," Spector replied.

"Why did you end the stream?" Tephe asked curiously.

"Well, since we are going to relax on the ship until we can jump, I don't think we want people watching us," Adam replied.

"It's a shame we can't see more of Earth while we are here," Lorelie remarked.

"Considering how Adam just launched a missile attack on the planet, being down there is probably not the best choice," Rowena replied, to which Lorelie nodded and said.

"I know, I'm just saying."

"You can always visit again in the future if you want to," Emma stated before asking, "Also, I expect I might need to return in the future to check up on my businesses in person, if that's ok?"

"That's fine," Adam replied before adding, "Purely monitoring them remotely is fine for the most part, but I guess you should make an appearance once in a while to make sure no one tries anything."

"That was my thought," Emma said while nodding.

"Since we are just going to relax for the next few hours, do you want to play a game, Emma?" Tephe asked excitedly.

"Sure," Emma nodded before adding, "I expect Isabella Flemming is too busy right now to discuss the Earth Project, so why not?"

"Yay," Tephe cheered happily.

[StealthAssassin9 (Earth): Fuuucccckkkkk, he suddenly went offline.]

[Gunlovergirl (Earth): Damn it, I wanted to see more of that orbital bombardment, that was so cool.]

[SciFifanboy (Earth): It was so Scifi.]

[Animefangirl (Earth): Totally Anime.]

[Celebrityhunter69 (Earth): Is it just me who thinks there is something wrong with what happened?]

[Justiceistruth (Earth): Yes, it is. Please tell me you're not turning into a pacifist like Superherofangirl.]

[Superherofangirl (Earth): Shut the fuck up dickhead.]

[Celebrityhunter69 (Earth): I don't mean it in that, I thought the orbital bombardment was awesome to watch, but…]

[NonpareilRaphilia (Aaru): But what? While I admit orbital bombardments are not exactly common in the known universe, they are known to happen.]

[Tessisdabest (Imperial Down): I think you're misunderstanding. I believe she is talking about Adam's attitude during the whole thing.]

[DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): His attitude? Now that you mention it, the whole thing did seem out of character.]

[NonpareilRaphilia (Aaru): What do you mean?]

[Tessisdabest (Imperial Down): You haven't been watching his streams for long, so you don't know, but it's not uncommon for Adam to destroy the buildings of those who target him or his loved ones.]

[Beczontop (Imperial Down): Like the bounty hunter guild hall on Terrana Five.]

[HackerSu (Trillion): That was my girl, Stace and her rocket launcher, not Adam.]

[Beczontop (Imperial Down): Oh yeah.]

[Tessisdabest (Imperial Down): Adam's normal MO in these situations is to warn the occupants so that innocents can evacuate the building before he destroys it; this time, however, that didn't happen.]

[Lizziethetruepower (Palaxia): You're right, he just straight up ordered the ship to fire without giving people time to evacuate.]

[OfficialKasumi (Aqua Primus): What's wrong with that? By giving people time to evacuate, chances are his enemies will be able to escape.]

[Tessisdabest (Imperial Down): But as far as I can tell, he wasn't actually targeting anyone in those circumstances and was instead just trying to destroy the assets of the families that wronged him. In that case, there was no reason for him not to give them a chance to evacuate.]

[Phoenixempress (Fenix Nest): Perhaps his recent battles have altered his personality slightly.]

[Tessisdabest (Imperial Down): But it's such a big shift, it makes no sense for his personality to change so much over such a short period of time.]

[Phoenixempress (Fenix Nest): You have a point.]

[LadyErkath (Alastor): Perhaps this is common for those from Earth?]

[Gunlovergirl (Earth): While war and battles do change people, it would take something major to cause the sudden change you're talking about and as far as I'm aware, nothing like that has happened, at least on stream.]

[Phoenixempress (Fenix Nest): My goddaughter hasn't told me of anything that could have caused it either.]

[Superior4horns (Vinox 3): Perhaps it was the cruise missile attack?]

[Whostolemyduck (Earth): If the cruise missile had hit and heaven forbid killed those onboard, then sure that would make sense. However, it didn't, so that doesn't add up, though it did rightly piss him off.]

[OracleRomy (Elysium): It's definitely something concerning you have brought up. A sudden change in someone's mentality is never a good sign. Phoenix Empress, perhaps you should discuss this with him and the others when they come to pick you up.]

[Phoenixempress (Fenix Nest): I believe you are right, Oracle Andromeda.]

Present time, Somewhere within Sector Eight.

"Mr Mysterious Seventeen, this is a surprise."

"Mr Mysterious Eight, it's been quite a while."

"Indeed, to what do I owe the pleasure of this call?" Eight asked.

"I'm sure you're aware of the deal I negotiated with Drotas Entertainment on behalf of our organisation?" Seventeen replied.

"Indeed, it will be quite the boon for us if we can get ten percent of Drotas Entertainment and all we have to do is kill Diva Lorelie."

"That's correct, but, unfortunately, our people have lost track of Diva Lorelie and the ship she's been travelling on."

"That's quite unfortunate, but she was in the Felidae Galaxy for quite some time, and yet you failed to make a move."

"Her boyfriend is more…. Efficient than we anticipated, as we can clearly see with how the Noir Family failed to steal his ship. Because of this, the plan was to assassinate her after her final concert, just when she and her boyfriend were relaxing.

We were in no rush to do the job since it seemed like Diva Lorelie was intent on touring Sector Seventeen before moving on to another sector. Unfortunately, it seems we were wrong because they have disappeared, and we have no idea where they went."

"With the destruction of the Felidae Galaxy jump gate by that idiot director from the bounty hunter guild, they can't have easily left the galaxy."

"It seems you're unaware, but the ship she's travelling on seems capable of subspace travel."

"Really? I admit I didn't look too deeply into the report since she is not in my sector; however, that is indeed surprising. But why are you contacting me?"

"Because it is believed that the ship she is travelling on is heading towards sector eight," Seventeen replied.

"Might I assume your belief comes from the fact that the phoenix race is getting ready to hold a grand celebration to welcome White Dragon Tephe, who is known to be travelling with Diva Lorelie?" Eight asked.

"You would be correct."

"So you wish for me to take over and eliminate Diva Lorelie since you failed to do it?"

"While I dislike your choice of words, I can't deny that you are correct on this occasion."

"What about Fifteen?" Eight asked before continuing, "Shouldn't you be informing Eight since Diva Lorelie has already announced that the next destination of her New Genre Tour is the Reef Galaxy?"

"I have already informed Fifteen about this and just wanted to inform you in order to cover all our bases."

"Makes sense, but I honestly don't see the need for me and my people to move. It will take them some time to reach the Reef Galaxy using a ship's subspace drive, giving Fifteen ample time to prepare."

"While I agree with you, I just wanted to cover all bases as I said."

"Fine, fine," Eight said dismissively before asking, "Now tell me what you're doing about the Terran Imperial Princess."

Present time, Ashes Galaxy, Fenix Nest.

"Ambassador Ryse egg has been safely returned to his family, Admiral," A phoenix wearing captain's attire reported as she sat on the opposite side of the desk where Admiral Solaris sat.

"Excellent work, Fiere," Solaris replied before adding, "You will have your ship and ready room back by the end of the day. I just need to finish these reports for PSF command."

"No rush, Admiral, it's been an honour having you travel with us," Fiere replied.

"I appreciate that, Fiere. I still can't believe that a simple escort job turned into an attempted assassination on the Terran Imperial Princess."

"I know, Ambassador Ryse was most impressive with how he protected the Terran Imperial Princess."

"What's this?" Solaris asked with a smirk before adding, "Fiere, are you perhaps smitten with our heroic ambassador?"

"Well, he was super heroic when he jumped in front of the Terran Imperial Princess and took the shot for her," Fiere replied with a slight blush.

"That he was," Solaris replied with a smile before adding, "It's just a shame you will have to wait several years until he can once again take human form before you can start a relationship with him."

"It is what it is, I don't mind waiting for him."

"Fiere, I had no idea you were such a romantic."
