Alex's p.o.v
She woke up from the most perfect dream. Stretching she reached out her hand to pat she the other side of the bed to search for Noah, but it was empty. She walked into the bathroom to take her pills with water from the sink and started her shower. Still alone she wore comfortable clothes that look attractive enough to not make her look homeless and began cleaning the room. Noah is no where to be seen and shes terrified to leave her room since her eyes are still kinda swollen even after the shower. She grabbed the phone, and it finally donned on here why she is alone in bed. It's already twelve thirty she growled getting up sliding into her indoors slippers, what will her elders think? Why the hell did Noah not wake her up? Who the hell has a beautiful wedding under the stars, now she overslept. Damn.
"Morning sis Lexi."
Ora respectively greets and she smiled patting her short hair back.
"Hey Ora. Did you see Noah?"
She's not proud to admit that while they walked no one would pay attention to her but Ora turned around.
"Lexi? What happened to your face?! Is uncle Noah responsib-"
She panicked and covered Ora's mouth, but Noah mother must have heard the commotion. She turned to go back to the room, but she can't be so disrespectful as to leave before greeting her elder. She looked down as to not show her face and bowed her greeting before she turned into a hard body.
"Noah. Mr Zheng."
She bowed again successfully dodging curious faces. Her anxiety picked up and she took a step closer to Noah who pulled her closer.
"Lunch will be served shortly."
Food was the last thing that crossed her mind at that moment and that moment was made worse when Ora pulled her out of Noah's arms. She could feel Noah's anger rising so she steeled her anxiety and faced the Ora who must have a lot of thoughts in her head, neither true. At this point Noah father was no where to be seen and his mother just looked into what was happening. She gently touched her juniors head and smiled at her deciding to be brave and to worry the adorable girl.
"Ora. What concerns do you have?"
"I'm worried because your face is swollen. Were you crying? Are you alright now? Did uncle-"
Her eyes must have flashed again because her junior stared in wonder. There is no way this innocent pure soul would ever meet danger; she formed a relative bond with the little girl and Noah's mom looked in like she knows.
"I was not feeling well yesterday but I'm all better now."
"Can you please show me your wolf?"
Noah was about to intervene, but she laughed at the curiosity in her beautiful hazel that is closer to the green side.
"Will that make you feel better?"
She smiled nodding enthusiastically and she smiled looking at Noah then his mother of permission. Noah must have also been intrigued because he quickly agreed and his mother nodded with an unreadable expression.
"We will have lunch first."
She nodded and moved closer to Noah who gave her a questioning look.
"Will you really shift?"
She shrugged looking forwards at the amount of food that was being brought to the table. His father walked in, and they sat down she nodded smiling at the surprised look on his handsome face.
"Yeah. It stopped her questions, and it will make her feel better."
.
"Can you shift now? Uncle To, sis Lexi is about to shift for us come hurry."
Ora pulled her outside and she laughed enjoying her junior's company. She shyly faced the crowed that formed pretending to be working, she faced Noah embarrassed.
"I can't control- never mind."
Before he could say anything, she shifted into her midnight wolf jumped out causing minimal pain. Actually, it hurt but is the type of hurt she can handle since she has a high pain tolerance mainly due toher past. She walked to her mate and circled him before sitting next to him.
"Your eyes are blue."
The words left Ora's lips softly, confusion and awe woven into each syllable. Alex didn't answer. Instead, she padded over in her wolf form and licked Ora's hand, a gesture of affection and reassurance. Ora reached down and brushed her fur gently.
Hello Alex. Please to finally meet again.
'What do you want?'
Something shifted. A pulse of something darker, more primal, rippled through Alex's body. She took a few steps back, her gaze locking onto her mate Noah.
Nothing yet.
Her wolf is back in control, and she love the attention Ora and her fated gave her. The moment her eyes met Ora's again, a gasp escaped the younger wolf, and Alex's own wolf let out a soft whine. She shook her head. Shaking off the dark energy as if breaking a trance.
I'm still here.
She was back in control. But a question lingered could anyone else feel the residue of the darkness that had clawed its way up?
'Stop this, chaos.'
You do remember me, I was starting to think you don't need me anymore.
This time, she didn't shrink. She didn't sit quietly at Noah's side like before. Instead, she walked forward, tall and strong, and stood next to him like she belonged.
I am chaos, you feel the power right?
"Alex… Your eyes are red," someone whispered.
'Let's talk later.'
Your wolf won't tell you, stop taking those suppressants.
No one moved. No one dared to speak. She didn't react. She didn't have to. Whatever that darkness was, it hadn't broken her.
There useless now, you found our mate,
She stood firm beside her mate not out of fear or submission, but with effortless confidence. Even in the presence of the Alpha of Alphas, she was unbothered.
'I will but not yet, I need to think of a way to tell him.'
Okay then. We will follow your lead in everything, especially dealing with your mom.
'What should we do about her?'
Look to our fated mate, he won't allow anything to happen to us. I won't let us go back to that situation situation again.
Chaos moved intentionally to stay close to him. Chaos his right Noah has the resources, status and pack to protect her.
[Yeah, I'm with Chaos on that count. Now what are we serious? We meeting our mates family we supposed to delightful].
Her wolf danced around, she's the one that needs protection. She's naïve, emotional and weak. She carries all her weaknesses and they did their best to protected her, she makes her see the good. She turned the second bright, bouncy energy that was Ora came rushing over, her defence was overridden by joy. The little wolf hugged Alex's fur again, laughing as if her soul recognised something beautiful, not dangerous. Just like that, Alex's wolf softened. Playful again. Herself again. She trusts he wolf with this level of freedom, she played with Ora and Prem. They all warmly accepted her and that makes her grateful, it could have been worse. Eventually, Alex made her way back to Noah. She couldn't shift back into her ruined clothes she needs him to read her mind.
"Wait here," Noah said, already heading off. "I'll get you something to wear."
While she waited, she took the time to greet every servant, maid, and guest in her own way sniffing, nuzzling, acknowledging them. Not as a threat, but as a future Luna. Noah returned shortly, his arms full of his own clothes. She followed him to the downstairs bathroom. There, she shifted back into her human form and quickly dressed in his shirt and sweatpants. She took a moment to fix her hair, then stepped out confidently. Ora was already gushing.
"Sis Lexi, that was awesome! You shifted into a totally new person before becoming yourself again. At first, your fur was black and goldish, kind of spotted like a cheetah with your usual colour."
Ora spun dramatically as she spoke, excitement bubbling over.
"Then you stood by Uncle Noah like a Luna! Like, it looked like you were protecting him or just showing off that you're superior to everyone else. Regardless, it was so cool!"
Alex flushed but said nothing.
"And then-then your eyes turned red, and then blue again! You got more playful, like you had two wolves inside you. Mom-mom, is that possible?"
Everyone looked toward Mrs. Zheng. But Alex couldn't yet face Noah's parents directly. Instead, she turned toward the elder wolves in the room and she bowed. She turned to Ora, she is more than justanyone, she's precious, and like her wolf… they need to be protected. She smiles listening to her enthusiasm before she asked the question that had been on her heart all along.
"Can you take me to the kitchen? I'm craving ice cream."
Ora nodded and pulled her rambling about what happened to drama at school, and she went on for so long she was halfway done with one of the bigger tubs.

Noah's p.o.v
"Son follow us."
The room, known as his mother's domain, where she counselled both patients and pack members were quiet, the silence made heavier by what they had all just witnessed. Noah followed behind his parents, still reeling. His father turned to him once the door was closed.
"What is she?"
Noah opened his mouth, then paused. He didn't know. Not really.
[She's, our mate. She likes us and she needs us.]
His wolf's voice echoed in his mind. It's like she spoke to him, she did. She wants to be protected and that's exactly what he plans to do. From the very beginning, that first bump in the hallway, he had known there was something different. That moment, it hadn't felt like just a wolf brushing against him. It was something else entirely, his mate. He brushed it off because it didn't matter then until the camp and every free time they spent together. Today was different she stood beside him shoulders squared, eyes glowing, aura blazing he felt like she acknowledged him as her Duecalion.
She hadn't just stood with him. She had stood for him. Her red eyes, that challenging posture, the strength that echoed off of her… It stirred something primal. And when she backed down for just a second, he felt her surrender not as weakness, but as an act of trust. She had given in to his power… but not his father's. Not anyone else's. She had faced his father, the Duecalion himself, with defiance.
"Son," his father said again, more gently now, "what did she tell you?"
His mother waited, worried, watching his face. But his thoughts were already running miles ahead. Her scent, her beautiful scent had changed. It was subtle, but he knew her too well to miss it. And her emotions… he could feel them in his chest like they were his own. There was still so much he didn't understand about her.
"Her father left when she was young," Noah began, his voice tired but honest. "She took care of herself until her mother came back into her life. She was raised in a strict pack but left for personal reasons ones I won't share without her consent."
A pause.
"She has obsessive-compulsive disorder. She's not ready for commitment… but she is committed to me, we in a relationship without the actual label."
He rubbed a hand down his face.
"And now… her scent's different. Her emotions are tied to mine; I can feel them... it's all getting stronger."
His father exchanged a look with his mother, concern and wonder reflected in both their faces.
"Did she tell you her nature or at least her status?" his father asked carefully.
"Yes. No. Kind of," Noah said. "She's a wolf. With real healing capabilities. But… she doesn't like talking about it. Says it's not something she's comfortable sharing."
He sat down, finally giving in to the weight on his shoulders. His gaze met his parents'.
"I don't know what she is."
His father opened his mouth to speak, pride flickering in his eyes. "You've found your Luna, son, and it looks like fate has blessed you with a strong mate who-"
Before he could finish, his wife gently pressed a hand over his mouth, silencing him. She gave him a pointed look, then turned to Noah.
"Honey," she said, her voice warm. "When you two stood together… your auras gave me goosebumps. Look."
She held up her arm tiny hairs raised. "The fact that she stands with you… and that you're happy? You already have the pack's blessing."
He swallowed hard and nodded. Still uncertain. Still overwhelmed. But grateful. He left the office, stepping into the hallway and there she was.
Axx. The intensity was gone now. No glowing eyes. No feral power humming around her. Just his mate. Soft. Quiet. Like nothing had happened at all. But he knew, and she knows something changed.
"Did you like my wolf?"
He nodded immediately and he kissed her forehead. She gabbed his arm and began pulling him up the stairs...
"If you love her... what about you make love to me?"
Who would ever refuse a tempting and hot offer?
She whispered in his ear and ran to the direction of his room. They got inside the room, and he locked the door before attacking his mate, she took a step back after a few minutes of making out.
"Condom."
He already thought of that as she smiles and went back to doing what her succulent lips were doing beforehand. Whatever she is he does not care as long as she is with him, his ready to challenge the world.
