Chapter 398 - Chapter 398: A Gift of Energy

For the first time, the Kaioshin stood at the forefront and declared loudly, brimming with confidence—displaying the aura befitting a god at the apex of the universe! Kibito looked at the Kaioshin and suddenly felt like crying.

Of course, their excitement stemmed more from finally being able to eliminate Babidi and Majin Buu.

Babidi sat collapsed on the ground without any resistance, and Majin Buu's ball was right there before them. The timing was absolutely perfect.

Then Raditz suddenly reached out to stop the Kaioshin. "Hold on. There are still people who haven't had their turn yet."

"Majin Buu!" Raditz said as if it were obvious.

The Kaioshin froze. "No, no, no! It's enough to eliminate him now. There's no need for him to appear."

"You asked us to defeat Majin Buu. How can we defeat him if he doesn't show up?" Raditz pointed behind him. "Besides, Vegeta and the others came here specifically to fight Majin Buu. Why don't you tell them that?"

"Well..." The Kaioshin, who'd been emboldened for a few seconds, deflated again. He glanced at Vegeta, but ultimately said nothing.

The Kaioshin looked at Kibito, and after a brief exchange of glances, Kibito shook his head rapidly, mentally declaring he wouldn't take the blame for this. So the two had no choice but to sigh together and allow Raditz to handle Majin Buu.

These Saiyans were insane! There was nothing good about Majin Buu—he was simply an evil life form. However, out of confidence in Raditz's strength, the Kaioshin suppressed the fear in his heart and made a concession.

Raditz didn't particularly dislike Fat Buu. Though this creature had a low IQ, he wasn't a pure villain incapable of communication. Fat Buu could recognize who treated him well, and people who were kind to him often received kindness in return, which showed there was a good side to his nature.

What Fat Buu lacked was proper guidance and a suitable living environment. In truth, Buu could live a stable life like Broly, and Raditz had the confidence to bring him under control.

"What... what are you doing?" Babidi was shocked. The Kaioshin who'd been clamoring just moments ago had actually been overruled by someone he'd brought along. What was this person's background that even the Kaioshin listened to him?

There were too many things beyond his comprehension, and Babidi felt his head swelling even more.

He also heard that group constantly shouting things like "Let Majin Buu come out!" and "When will we see the demon?" His supposedly brilliant mind suddenly froze, unable to tell which side these people were actually on.

"Raditz, we agreed—Majin Buu is mine once he wakes up!" Vegeta couldn't wait to seize the opportunity. He hadn't been interested in the likes of Dabura, but his fighting spirit couldn't be contained after hearing Raditz say the demon possessed strength beyond Super Saiyan 3.

The final stage of this tedious game would finally bring him some real entertainment.

Goku wasn't backing down either. "That's not settled yet! We haven't finished our rock-paper-scissors match!"

"Then let's do it! I won't lose to you!"

Vegeta and Goku clashed again, the two meeting to play their game.

"I can't watch this." Android 17 sighed slightly.

Raditz smiled and stepped forward. "Anyway, let me wake up the demon first."

Raditz walked past the stunned Babidi and approached Majin Buu's ball, examining the array of gauges and mechanisms with a slight frown. "This thing looks simple, but it's a bit tricky to operate..."

"You... what are you going to do?" Babidi exclaimed.

"Wake up Majin Buu with an energy injection, obviously. Tell me how to do it—I'm worried a random energy blast might crack the ball."

"Oh, just aim at that hole there... Wait! Why should I tell you!"

Babidi shouted impatiently, breaking out in a cold sweat. But he paused for a moment, suddenly feeling something was wrong. The other party had clearly stated they wanted to wake Majin Buu, so shouldn't he support that? But... why? Why would they want to wake the demon for him? These people belonged to the Kaioshin's group, yet they wanted to break the seal. Were they all insane? Babidi was on the verge of tears. Could someone please tell him what they were trying to accomplish?

At that moment, Raditz had already found the opening—the port used to insert energy containers for transmission. Raditz attempted to transmit his ki directly with his bare hand. The pointer on the display panel suddenly shifted, quietly moving half a notch.

Seeing the experiment worked, Raditz immediately continued feeding energy until the gauge was full.

"Whoooooooo—" The giant ball suddenly emitted a shrill whistle like a boiling electric kettle. White vapor sprayed from all around it, and the ball itself began vibrating and shaking endlessly.

"Is it happening?" Everyone's eyes lit up as they all noticed the phenomenon—undoubtedly a sign of Majin Buu's awakening.

The Kaioshin and Kibito couldn't help but break into nervous sweats. After all these years, they finally had to face Majin Buu again. This terrifying, evil creature had been sleeping for so long—who knew what form he'd take now.

Babidi also narrowed his eyes, the corners of his mouth trembling. "Ma... Majin Buu!"

The giant ball shook violently and rotated. The sound became increasingly shrill and piercing, and scorching breath escaped, prompting Babidi to immediately shift the environment to the wilderness outside. The vast open space was more suitable for Majin Buu's awakening and would make this resurrection ceremony even grander.

With a tremendous explosion, the giant ball burst open. The scorching temperature burned a massive crater in the ground. Energy waves rushed from inside the two exploded shell halves, and a hurricane swept forth with a roar. A wave of pungent, rancid stench blew along with the wind and dust.

The shell fragments crashed to the ground. The two halves remained intact, but the interior was completely empty.

"Empty?" Everyone was shocked, but a second later, they sensed an extremely powerful aura.

"Could it be that the seal deteriorated over such a long time?" The Kaioshin was momentarily overjoyed, his eyebrows rising. Not seeing Majin Buu would be wonderful news for him.

"No!" Raditz pointed to the sky. "Up there."

The sky? The Kaioshin suddenly looked up and saw something cloud-like floating above. Gradually, this mass of substance gathered together and automatically formed a shape.

"Haha!" The big, fat, pink figure was like a ball of cotton candy. He spread his limbs and rapidly descended, landing firmly on the ground. He looked around at the novel world, his eyes full of curiosity, like an inquisitive child.

In fact, Majin Buu's mentality was similar to that of a child. He smiled foolishly with a grin on his face, which made him seem somewhat innocent for no apparent reason.

"This aura is so strong!"

"So this is Majin Buu! He's not on the same level as Dabura at all—incredibly powerful!"

The Saiyans praised Majin Buu's strength, but there was no fear on their faces—only excitement. The Kaioshin trembled, his expression changing drastically, as if the shadow of the past had once again covered his heart.

Majin Buu had awakened, and the main event was about to begin.
