On the vast plain, wind howled as Majin Buu stood on the ground laughing inexplicably, looking utterly deranged.
"Majin Buu is kind of cute," Pepara whispered to her sister.
"I... I think so too." Zucara nodded solemnly.
Though this chubby pink demon radiated a powerful aura, there was nothing aggressive about it. He'd been playing by himself since emerging. Even Babidi was taken aback—he hadn't expected the legendary demon to look so adorable.
Babidi stepped forward a few paces and tentatively spoke. "Hey, Majin Buu! I let you out, so you have to listen to me from now on."
"Haha..." Majin Buu paid him no attention whatsoever, still moving his limbs and twisting his body around.
"If you dare disobey me, I'll seal you back in the ball!" Babidi shouted urgently.
This time Majin Buu shuddered and turned around seriously. He wasn't afraid of other threats, but the prospect of returning to the ball terrified him. Babidi had hit the nail on the head, forcing even the lawless Buu to comply.
Then Raditz suddenly grabbed Babidi with one hand. The severe pain choked off Babidi's voice, making him struggle in agony.
"You talk too much. Just watch quietly." Raditz hurled him aside, his eyes cold as steel, and invisible psychic force enveloped Babidi's body, imprisoning him tightly.
But Raditz's actions caught Majin Buu's attention. The chubby creature stared at Raditz. "You locked him up."
"He wants to seal you. Let me do you a favor and get rid of him," Raditz said with a smile.
"Hmm..." Majin Buu cast Babidi a cold glance, not taking the pathetic villain to heart. In the end, he was more interested in Raditz. "You seem very strong."
"Would you like to play with us? There are many people here who are very strong besides me."
Like coaxing a child, Raditz enticed Majin Buu and drew his gaze toward the Kaioshin.
"Oh? Are they fun?"
"They're all excellent."
Majin Buu shrugged his shoulders, then suddenly opened his mouth wide, his eyes lighting up with cold intensity. He was getting serious now, and white steam rose from the pores atop his head.
BANG! Majin Buu leaped forward, and despite his fat body, his speed was unparalleled. Not everyone present was above Super Saiyan 3 level. Facing Majin Buu's assault, many were caught off guard.
The Kaioshin bore the brunt—Majin Buu's first target! The terrified Kaioshin hadn't reacted fast enough to escape. His face went pale, and he stood frozen in place. On either side of Majin Buu, Vegeta and Goku rushed forward, blocking the Kaioshin and each landing a punch on Buu's face.
With them around, Majin Buu couldn't possibly succeed.
"Hey, Goku, he's mine!" Vegeta grabbed Goku's gi. "I just won the rock-paper-scissors match."
"I'll just hit him this once."
Goku had lost the game. Too embarrassed to compete with Vegeta, he couldn't help throwing that punch, but finally yielded his position.
Vegeta smiled smugly.
"Come on, Majin Buu!" Vegeta transformed into Super Saiyan 2, shrouded in fierce golden light wrapped in lightning. Incomparable power surged between heaven and earth, bringing gusts of wind with it.
"You hurt me!" Majin Buu's cheeks were dented inward on both sides. Steam sprayed from the holes atop his head as he touched his fists together and attacked again.
He had a bloated figure, but his speed was extremely fast and his explosive power first-rate. He reached Vegeta in an instant and swung his open arms at Vegeta's head! Vegeta knew Majin Buu's strength, so he raised his hands to block at almost the same moment.
With a BANG, the two forces collided, creating energy ripples visible to the naked eye. The earth cracked from the collision, sand and rocks flying.
Seeing his attack blocked, Buu showed slight surprise, then immediately launched a sideways kick. The unimaginably flexible side kick caught Vegeta off guard, forcing him to retreat repeatedly. The powerful Buu pressed his advantage, suddenly stretching his arm to deliver a violent punch! The tremendous force sent Vegeta reeling backward, his cheeks burning with pain.
"So you've got that trick too!" Vegeta spat lightly, gritted his teeth to steady himself, and initiated Instant Transmission! Buu was still charging when Vegeta suddenly vanished, reappearing behind him with clasped hands delivering a devastating hammer blow.
WHAM! Buu's body caved inward, but with his recovery ability, the damage was nothing at all. He swelled back to normal after a moment.
After recovering, the demon immediately counterattacked, sweeping his backhand to collide with Vegeta's arm. Both bodies shook violently and separated simultaneously. Vegeta flew into the sky while Buu followed closely, waving his palms and bombarding wildly with ki blasts! The demon was using the Prince's own tactics preemptively.
The planet shook violently. The vortex of airflow tore like thin blades, splitting earth and sky into countless fragments. Vast smoke billowed through the air, explosions coming wave after wave, and one ki blast headed straight for the planet's core!
Raditz quickly caught the ki blast. "This Majin Buu has no sense at all—nearly destroyed the planet. Fortunately, this world is much sturdier than Earth, otherwise it would've been obliterated already."
"HAAAH!" Through the endless smoke, Vegeta's shout and light pierced the haze.
An arrow-like energy column shot forth at high speed, broke through the smoke and energy bombardment, and charged toward Majin Buu.
Double Galick Gun! The extremely penetrating technique that compressed energy punched through even Majin Buu's energy barrage, then pierced a massive hole through Buu's stomach, sending his entire body flying backward! Look at Vegeta again—standing proudly in the air, surrounded by golden light and lightning, utterly domineering.
Buu fell to the ground. The Kaioshin couldn't help cheering. "Excellent! Vegeta is truly powerful!"
"No. Majin Buu's ki hasn't weakened at all."
"What?" The Kaioshin froze, then saw Majin Buu on the ground stand up again, hold his breath with his hollow belly, and return to his original state with a poof.
"Just like Piccolo!" Pepara couldn't help exclaiming, drawing a cold look from Piccolo.
Goku analyzed further. "Majin Buu's body is very flexible—he can freely control every part. He also has tremendous strength and recovery ability. Really amazing. In other words, it's quite similar to Piccolo."
"Hmph." Piccolo turned his head away, ignoring Goku.
Pepara thought to herself: Why didn't you glare at Goku when he said it? The treatment really is different!
"That hurt!" The recovered Majin Buu was somewhat annoyed and rushed toward Vegeta, even learning to use Instant Transmission.
Goku hadn't mentioned one more thing—the demon also possessed terrifying learning ability. Skills they'd mastered through countless hardships, the demon could learn with just one or two glances. Truly a genius!
Caught off guard by the Instant Transmission, Vegeta was struck several times in succession, each blow extremely heavy.
Though Fat Buu had an innocent temperament most of the time, he was completely unrestrained in battle. In Buu's mind, there was no concept of life—he simply enjoyed certain sensations. In his eyes, destruction and killing weren't problems. He could even laugh foolishly after killing people.
This was different from Frieza's malice. Buu's fault was too pure—he didn't know whether his actions were right or wrong.
So he fought desperately, raining down attacks one after another, swift as thunder and heavy as mountains. Countless afterimages blasted toward Vegeta, each punch at full power. Explosive force struck from every angle—BANG BANG BANG BANG—constant vibrations and circular shockwaves spreading through the air!
"Vegeta's at a disadvantage."
"After all, his opponent is a Super Saiyan 3-level monster!"
"No, Vegeta's power is also at Super Saiyan 3 level." Raditz approached them and smiled faintly. "Haven't you noticed Vegeta's Super Saiyan 2 isn't the same as normal? He's already reached Super Saiyan 2's absolute limit!"
Ultimate Super Saiyan 2—Raditz had cultivated this state, Vegeta had mastered it, and in the future, others would learn it as well. In this form, the strength was no different from Super Saiyan 3!
