Chapter 478 - Chapter 478: The Uninvited God

The sky itself seemed to rupture as countless energies surged through the atmosphere. In their frantic clash, flames threatened to consume the entire world, power radiating outward to infinitely vast space—beyond Earth's orbit, bleeding into the cosmic void itself.

And outside the universe, a subtle fluctuation quietly breached the Seventh Universe's dimensional boundary.

Two unexpected figures streaked through cosmic space—luminous trails racing through the stellar void. Champa and Vados had arrived! The God of Destruction from Universe 6 entered his twin brother's domain without fanfare or declaration. They maintained remarkable discretion, notifying no deities of their presence, moving as though they'd come for purposes unrelated to social calls.

"Vados, are you certain the Super Dragon Balls are here? I can't wait any longer." Champa's voice carried childlike impatience.

"Please be patient, Lord Champa. To realize your wish, you must collect all seven Super Dragon Balls." Vados offered comfort with the practiced ease of someone who'd spent eons managing her charge's temperament—very much like coaxing an oversized child.

Champa pouted dramatically, his rotund form bobbing with indignation. "But why are they scattered across both the Sixth and Seventh Universes? It's extraordinarily troublesome! What was the Dragon God thinking?"

"This distribution maintains cosmic balance." Vados explained with infinite patience. "If such overwhelming wish-granting power concentrated in a single universe, it would create dangerous imbalance. The Super Dragon Balls' division serves essential equilibrium." She tilted her head with that perpetual mysterious smile. "Don't complain, Lord Champa. We should collect them all before Lord Beerus discovers our presence—otherwise, complications will arise."

"I'm not afraid of that lazy brother of mine!" Champa puffed up his chest defensively. "It's only because his universe has Earth!"

His wounded pride was clearly showing.

The true purpose behind this clandestine visit involved collecting the Super Dragon Balls to resurrect Earth in Universe 6. With a proper Earth populated by humans, he could enjoy their culinary creations regularly. Honestly, after tasting the delicacies Raditz had brought during the tournament, returning to Universe 6's food could only be described as "inedible" by comparison.

Champa, who'd been dreaming about Earth cuisine day and night, had finally committed to this course of action under Vados' subtle encouragement.

Though he claimed fearlessness regarding Beerus, operating within his twin brother's territory made Champa nervous despite the bravado. His bold declaration lasted mere seconds before anxiety crept in. "Hey, Vados... Beerus hasn't detected us yet, has he?"

"Hehe, not yet. He and Whis aren't in the Destruction God Realm—they're currently on Earth."

"Earth? Why would they go there?"

"Not just them—Raditz is present as well." Vados' smile widened with knowing amusement.

"That glutton is probably gorging himself on delicious food again!" Champa's outrage carried comic indignation. "Perfect timing—I'll retrieve the Super Dragon Ball while he's distracted!"

The gorgeous light trail streaked across the cosmos, winding like a luminous ribbon among distant stars, advancing steadily toward Earth.

Back on the battlefield, jagged rock formations undulated across devastated terrain. Sand whipped through the air in choking clouds. Seawater had flooded the high ground, creating temporary inland oceans. Thunder bursts connected sky to churning sea in brilliant columns of electrical discharge. The air currents tumbled endlessly in chaotic patterns.

If Whis hadn't continuously reinforced Earth's structure with divine power, this fragile planet would have been obliterated countless times already.

Goku and Golden Frieza had exchanged thousands of blows—from brutal hand-to-hand combat to devastating ki bombardment, from stratospheric clashes to ground-level devastation. Frigid killing intent and scorching arrogance intertwined, spiraling upward accompanied by the awed gasps of spectators.

Their power levels remained remarkably similar, their energy reserves equally matched. Through the back-and-forth exchanges, both warriors had accumulated injuries—clothing torn to shreds, blood staining visible wounds. Yet still, no victor had emerged.

Frieza and Goku retreated to opposite sides of the battlefield, creating separation. The swirling vortex of disturbed air between them contained fading afterimages still locked in phantom combat, the fierce echoes of their clash gradually dissipating.

"I didn't expect you to possess such strength. Truly unexpected." Frieza's words emerged through gritted teeth, his face forced into something resembling a smile though every muscle remained tensed. Blood-red eyes reflected cold killing intent, while purple lips curved into a sinister arc.

Saiyans—his eternal obstacle.

Since learning of the Super Saiyan legend, he'd spent decades guarding against and exploiting these warrior monkeys. He'd personally orchestrated Planet Vegeta's destruction, yet these once-weak creatures possessed such tremendous potential. They'd gradually grown to unimaginable levels despite every precaution. Even after training for years following his resurrection, he still couldn't decisively defeat the Saiyan before him.

For Frieza, a stalemate was equivalent to defeat.

"Hah... hah..." Goku gasped heavily, sweat pouring down his face. Confronting an enemy of Frieza's caliber demanded extraordinary stamina. "Frieza, you're incredibly strong too. I haven't faced an opponent like you in quite some time."

"Hmph! I don't need your empty praise!" Frieza snarled, then lunged forward without warning. His knee drove upward toward Goku's chin with explosive force.

Goku blocked with his forearm, countering immediately with a devastating hook. The tremendous impact forced Frieza into defensive posture. Simultaneously, Frieza's tail whipped around like a steel cable, striking with enough force to shatter mountains.

They collided again—trading blows that landed with sickening thuds, attack and defense flowing seamlessly. This had become a war of attrition. Victory would belong to whoever could endure longest.

"They can still fight?! Such overwhelming power, and they just keep going..." The spectators appeared even more battered than the combatants themselves, faces smeared with dirt and debris. Even warriors at Super Saiyan level felt genuine fear watching this display, their clothes soaked through with nervous perspiration. They felt like leaves tossed on ocean waves, hearts filled with existential dread at forces beyond their comprehension.

"What's taking Kakarot so long? He still hasn't finished this!" Vegeta tapped his bicep with mounting impatience, irritation bleeding through his usual stoic mask.

"Golden Frieza's strength matches Super Saiyan Blue almost perfectly. It's extremely difficult for Kakarot to secure victory—mutual exhaustion remains the most likely outcome." Raditz observed analytically. "The result would be identical if you fought him, Vegeta."

This Golden Frieza proved far more formidable than Raditz's initial assessment. Extended training with Towa had given the tyrant mastery over his transformation—just like Goku and Vegeta's refinement of Super Saiyan Blue. In terms of raw magnitude, they were essentially equivalent.

"And what about you?" Vegeta's question carried challenging undertones.

"I'll tell you quietly..." Raditz leaned closer with a knowing smile. "During these three months training alongside you two, I've learned something new."

Vegeta froze momentarily, then released a dismissive snort.

Raditz didn't elaborate further, though his new understanding was genuine. Dealing with Frieza now would be relatively simple for him.

"Haaaah—ahhh..." Beerus couldn't suppress a massive yawn, his boredom becoming increasingly obvious. "This is taking forever. Goku and Frieza are practically equal in strength—how long until someone actually wins?"

"Lord Beerus, don't lose patience just yet. Something new is developing." Whis suddenly became alert, his staff beginning to glow faintly. "Powerful energy signatures are approaching Earth."

Beerus straightened immediately, all drowsiness evaporating.

Simultaneously, Raditz—bearing the authority of Supreme Kai—detected the same terrifying energy. This presence could only be perceived by divine beings: Vados and Champa!

"They're here!" Raditz and Beerus spoke in perfect unison.

The instant their voices overlapped, a beam of rainbow light descended to the surface—soundless yet possessing overwhelming presence that suddenly suppressed both Goku and Frieza mid-exchange.

The battle froze. All shockwaves ceased abruptly.

"Who DARES interrupt?!" Frieza's fury exploded at this latest indignity.

His carefully planned Earth invasion had somehow become a public spectacle! Characters kept arriving one after another, each interfering with his vengeance. Even his climactic battle with Goku had been interrupted—why was revenge proving so impossibly difficult?!

Before Frieza could finish his enraged outburst, a purple sphere of destruction energy flew directly toward him. The majestic power radiated divine authority he couldn't hope to resist!

What in the—?!

Frieza wanted to curse, but his mouth was sealed by the energy sphere's impact. His golden body rocketed backward uncontrollably.

Champa's voice reached Frieza's ears half a second after impact—by which time the golden form had already been blasted skyward, detonating in a brilliant explosion high above. Fortunately, Frieza's enhanced durability prevented instant death. He retained a thin thread of consciousness, barely clinging to life as he tumbled toward the ground.

Frieza hadn't expected to become collateral damage for a God of Destruction.

Raditz felt a momentary pang of sympathy for the tyrant. Frieza truly was the universe's most unfortunate boss. Had the battle continued naturally, he might have achieved an honorable draw. Instead, he'd been casually swatted aside by Champa like an annoying insect.

"What... what was that?!" Everyone recoiled in horror witnessing Champa's casual display of overwhelming power.

"The God of Destruction from Universe 6—Champa!"
