Chapter 480 - Chapter 480: Power Beyond Measure

Frieza couldn't resist Beerus' decree. Within the Frieza Clan's ancestral knowledge, two beings existed that could never be offended—Majin Buu and the God of Destruction, Beerus.

At this moment, Frieza might not fear Majin Buu anymore, but confronting the overwhelming might of Beerus left no room for defiance. Champa's casual strike moments ago had illuminated the insurmountable chasm between himself and true gods with crystalline clarity.

Without options for resistance, he could only endure in suffocating silence. Death once had been more than enough.

Seeing Beerus subdue the warrior he'd just defeated filled Champa with smug satisfaction. Because Frieza and Goku had already exhausted considerable power before his arrival, their depleted states led Champa to mistakenly believe this represented their maximum capabilities.

"Excellent! Since we've reached an agreement, we'll depart!" Champa called to Vados cheerfully, and the pair vanished from Earth as swiftly as they'd arrived.

Coming and going with casual urgency—the trademark behavior of Gods of Destruction.

But Frieza found nothing cheerful about his situation. His eyes swept across the assembled warriors—all his enemies—while the only neutral figure, a God of Destruction, had just threatened him directly. Every nerve felt exposed and raw. The most galling aspect? He couldn't voice a single objection.

"Raditz, this match belongs to you. Ensure victory, or I won't forgive you!" Beerus threatened both Frieza and Raditz with equal intensity.

Yet Raditz showed no deference whatsoever toward Beerus. Though he couldn't defeat the God of Destruction currently, fear didn't factor into his calculations.

"Kakarot, Vegeta, and Frieza—that's three candidates already. We only need two more to secure victory."

"You haven't seen Universe 6's roster yet, so don't become overconfident prematurely." Beerus' tone carried genuine warning. "Besides, there are Saiyans in Universe 6 as well!"

Raditz smiled with calm assurance. "I'm aware. But I personally trained those Saiyans. Though they possess remarkable talent, their experience falls dramatically short of ours. They're nowhere near our level."

"Hmph. Regardless, I'm entrusting this to you." Beerus' attention shifted to his newest acquisition. "Frieza, you'll accompany Raditz to prepare for the upcoming tournament. If your performance proves inadequate, I'll destroy you myself!" His volatile temperament silenced any potential protests.

Forcing Frieza to associate with Raditz revealed interesting tactical thinking on Beerus' part—certainly promised to generate entertaining tension.

Everyone stood speechless at this development, while Frieza's expression suggested he'd just swallowed something particularly vile.

Whis raised his staff with graceful precision. A single tap erased all battle damage instantly—the entire planet restored to pristine condition as if the apocalyptic clash had never occurred. Even Frieza and Goku's injuries vanished completely. Holy light bathed the world, bringing tranquil peace to the devastated landscape.

"Whis, I want food. Now." Beerus' impatience peaked rapidly—culinary indulgence had been his primary motivation for this entire excursion. Having watched the battle and accepted Champa's challenge, his appetite had intensified to ravenous levels.

Raditz nodded acknowledgment, gesturing for Zangya to escort Beerus to enjoy Earth's finest cuisine. Meanwhile, he turned his attention toward Frieza with deliberate, predatory focus.

"Don't look so miserable. I'm not thrilled about this arrangement either—blame Lord Beerus for the assignment."

"Raditz, are you attempting to mock me?" Venom dripped from every syllable.

"Mock you? No, no, no. If I wanted to mock you, I wouldn't need Beerus' authority backing me. I could accomplish it personally." Raditz's tone remained conversational, almost friendly. "I'm simply informing you—for the next seven days, you're assigned to my supervision."

"What did you say?!" Fury exploded across Frieza's features. With Beerus absent, his arrogance crept back invisibly, emboldening his outrage.

Raditz maintained perfect composure, utterly unaffected. "Would you like me to repeat myself?"

The calmer Raditz remained, the more Frieza's rage intensified. His teeth ground together audibly, anger nearly bursting from his eyes like physical force. Compared to Goku and Vegeta, this Raditz proved infinitely more infuriating!

"Then allow me to express my gratitude..." Frieza's smile deepened with sinister promise. He stood merely two steps away from Raditz. Having just recovered to full strength, violent energy and killing intent surged through his body. "...PROPERLY!!!"

As those final words erupted, his form blurred forward at light-speed. A purple-black energy sphere materialized in his palm, swirling with violent fluctuations as it hammered toward Raditz's abdomen. The attack drilled forward like a cosmic jackhammer, distorting space itself. Shockwaves radiated outward for hundreds of miles!

Space-warping power!

Frieza had combined Towa's dimensional manipulation techniques with his own Death Ball, creating his most lethal strike imaginable.

Every spectator froze in shock—even Goku hadn't anticipated Frieza attempting such treacherous retaliation at this juncture.

However...

Raditz stood completely motionless.

The energy projectile struck his abdomen and couldn't advance even a millimeter. An invisible barrier seemed to deflect all assault in front of Raditz's form. Frieza's attack moved at light-speed—but Raditz operated at faster-than-light velocity.

"Frieza, I understand your personality perfectly. But such tactics prove useless against me." Raditz's tone carried absolute indifference. "Because the gap between our strengths is simply too vast."

"No... that's impossible!" Sweat already poured down Frieza's forehead in rivers.

He immediately channeled every reserve of power, erupting into his Golden state with desperate intensity.

Simultaneously, Raditz transformed as well.

"Allow me to demonstrate." Raditz spoke with cold finality. With a casual wave of one hand, brilliant white light instantly consumed Frieza's energy sphere—then engulfed Frieza himself entirely. The tyrant rocketed backward as if struck by a continental shelf.

Like ocean waves submerging a cruise ship, the endless impact sent Frieza tumbling through countless uncontrolled rotations. His golden exterior accumulated instant scarring, scorched smoke rising from burned flesh.

The sea below evaporated completely. The atmosphere stagnated with traumatic pressure. A literal hole appeared in the sky itself.

Several soldier remnants still lingered in the upper atmosphere. Witnessing King Frieza's defeat threw them into panicked disarray—until Raditz casually snapped his fingers and erased them from existence. He needed to establish dominance, demonstrate precisely how overwhelming his power had become.

Every witness stood dumbfounded. Vegeta's Adam's apple bobbed involuntarily as he processed what he'd witnessed. He began genuinely believing Raditz's earlier claims—this power transcended his imagination! That was Frieza who'd fought Super Saiyan Blue Goku to a standstill... defeated with a single blow?!

"Too... too powerful!"

"Just as we'd expect from Raditz."

"Brother..." Goku wiped sweat from his forehead, eyes shining with competitive fire and renewed determination.

"IMPOSSIBLE! MY POWER SHOULD BE INVINCIBLE! AAAHHHHH!" Frieza's enraged screams vented the volcanic emotions erupting within his chest. Rage pushed him dangerously close to complete psychological breakdown.

Being defeated in one strike had shattered his psychological defenses—a living humiliation that burned worse than any physical wound.

"RADITZ! RADITZ! RADITZ!!!" Frieza abandoned all reason, charging forward again with mindless fury. His consciousness had narrowed to a single white-hot imperative—KILL KILL KILL!

Confronting Frieza in this berserk state, Raditz could only shake his head with something approaching pity. He blurred forward to meet the charge.

BOOM!

Nobody could perceive the high-speed movement—only witnessing a dazzling stream of light that rocketed into space. The figure frozen in the air maintained a finishing pose, making it obvious who'd landed the strike...

Suddenly, even Goku felt sympathy for Frieza.

Raditz gazed skyward, whispering to himself with quiet satisfaction. "Hmph. While you improved, I improved exponentially more." With that declaration, he teleported again, locating Frieza drifting unconscious in orbit, and transported him back to Earth's surface.

The overwhelming pressure radiating from Raditz made resistance impossible. The magnitude felt barely distinguishable from Beerus himself.

Terror crystallized in Frieza's consciousness with perfect clarity. He finally understood why Raditz hadn't engaged initially—his power had transcended normal measurements, approaching the realm of Gods of Destruction themselves!

This humiliation would haunt him until his final breath.
