Bell leapt directly into the air, letting himself fall through the opening torn by the pillar of flame.
The chasm was incredibly deep. Even as Bell's body descended rapidly, the distance to the bottom still felt vast. But the assault from below had already begun.
As he fell, Bell could feel a surge of heat rising to meet him.
With his thumb and index finger pinched tightly together, a small magic pellet began to form, condensing a thread of magic. Bell flicked his thumb, launching the magic pellet with a sharp motion.
The magic pellet sped downward, quickly accelerating as it collided directly with the rising pillar of flame.
"Boom!"
The moment the two forces collided, the scorching pillar shattered instantly, turning into countless sparks. The magic pellet, however, continued its rapid descent.
"Very good."
Seeing the result of his casual action, Bell felt quite satisfied.
"Applying the Microcosm really makes it easier to generate large-scale damage."
In truth, Bell had merely infused his magic with a slight effect that disrupted the atomic structure of the Microcosm.
That such a small amount of magic could disperse the flames spewed by the Valgang Dragon proved the practical utility of the "Microcosm" in combat.
"Next comes more hands-on application, not just isolated experiments."
With that thought, Bell adjusted his 450-pound body and maneuvered it closer to the descending rock wall, using it to increase his speed even further.
This time, the technique Bell employed felt unfamiliar to both worlds.
Yet only two individuals understood what had transpired.
"Did he shatter the microscopic world with his own power, thereby affecting the material world?"
In the Type-Moon universe, Shiki Ryougi immediately recognized the principle behind that attack.
"Starting with the fact that everything in the world is composed of atoms, she constructed a world made entirely of atomic structures. From there, she began to comprehend the microscopic world and, by extension, the laws of the universe. By mastering the microscopic realm, she gained the ability to disperse—even shatter—atoms."
Some principles seem simple when stated clearly, but constructing a world made solely of atomic structures is nearly impossible.
Sure, everything is made up of atoms, but between every object, there are gaps. It's not so simple—otherwise, the material world would be in utter chaos.
Constructing a world composed entirely of atomic structures is, for all intents and purposes, an unachievable feat.
Only those who have fully mastered the principles of the universe and possess the ability to shape their own universe and worldview can achieve such a feat.
Simply understanding this principle would already grant someone the power to shatter the material world.
Someone wielding such power could likely destroy the world without much difficulty.
"My role is just to record the death of all things, while you've directly created their annihilation."
"Indeed, you're entirely different from us."
Shiki Ryougi couldn't help but be struck by awe.
In truth, even she couldn't construct a world of atomic structures.
No, to be more precise, it wasn't just her—she didn't know if other three-digit beings could do it, but she was certain that the other woman could not either.
"How extreme."
"But this is also a path toward 'omniscience and omnipotence.'"
The microscopic world mirrors the material world. In the material world, the separation between objects is clear, and the microscopic world doesn't face the issue of atoms of different types fusing together.
But once the atomic barriers of the microscopic world are breached, it inevitably triggers drastic changes in the material world.
Thus, by exploring the "microscopic world," one can expand their Cognition and, in turn, indirectly enhance their Authority.
Indirectly walking the path toward "omniscience and omnipotence."
How should I put it... it's incredibly creative.
But also incredibly reckless.
Isn't this approach a bit too extreme?
"Wasn't he supposed to be primarily cautious and careful? Or is this just his true nature?"
Shiki Ryougi was somewhat baffled.
At that moment, Bell had completed his descent and entered the 58th floor area.
Upon entering the zone, he was warmly greeted by all the Valgang Dragons within the floor.
Flames and dragon breath surged from all directions, nearly engulfing Bell.
Unfortunately...
"Snap!"
With a single snap of his fingers, the atoms making up the flames were instantly scattered. The massive inferno was completely extinguished, and even the heat it generated was blown away.
Bell stood in midair, feeling not a trace of warmth.
He looked down at the Valgang Dragons below, still preparing their follow-up attacks.
"All Level 7? Their mobility isn't great. Did they pour all their points into attack?"
"That makes them easy to deal with."
Bell's figure flickered in the air, appearing beside a Valgang Dragon on the ground in the next instant.
Clenching his fist, he delivered a powerful punch to the Valgang Dragon.
"Boom!"
The Valgang Dragon's body was thrown off balance, as if struck by artillery fire. It exploded, and bright red blood rained down onto the ground, heightening the already grim atmosphere of the floor to its peak.
In an instant, all the Valgang Dragons on the floor let out a thunderous roar.
"ROAR!!!!!!"
The deafening dragon's cry seemed to shake the entire floor.
But before the shockwaves could reach Bell, they were blocked by an invisible wall.
The Valgang Dragons, their roars suddenly cut off, immediately opened their mouths and aimed them at Bell. A massive surge of dragon breath began to accumulate within their jaws.
In response, Bell raised his hand slightly, lending a helping hand to the Valgang Dragons.
A massive surge of oxygen converged toward the dragon breath gathering in their mouths.
"Boom!!!"
The combination of the flames and oxygen ignited into a deafening explosion.
The explosion detonated the heads of the Valgang Dragons, along with the organs in their bodies that stored the flames. The affected Valgang Dragons became headless and collapsed to the ground.
"Just as I thought."
"You Valgang Dragons lack control over fire; you're just spewing the flames stored within your bodies."
Uncontrolled flames are nothing more than easy targets for mages skilled in wind magic. A simple manipulation of oxygen and fire creates an explosion.
However, these Valgang Dragons didn't seem to understand what was happening. Or perhaps, the events had enraged them to the point that they could no longer think rationally.
