Under the guidance of two powerful beings, the vortex of elemental energy in the skies swelled to several times its original size, pouring down with ever-greater intensity.
And accompanied by that vast infusion of life energy, Gu You's eighth soul ring gradually began to coalesce.

Unsurprisingly, it was dazzling—brilliant streaks of gold pulsed through the deep pink hues. There was no discernible age limit to this ring.
In a sense, it was formed by the power of fate itself. As powerful as fate was, so too was this soul ring.
A tremendous transformation was simultaneously taking place within Gu You's mind. The Tree of Life surged upward at unimaginable speed, growing so tall and vast that it could no longer be seen in its entirety when gazed upon from below.
It pierced through the limits of the mental realm, reaching into the stars—like a World Tree that connected realms and transcended dimensions.
Externally, Gu You's physical form radiated renewed brilliance. His eight soul rings rotated gently around him, the rose-gold and green ones especially radiant.
As the Tree of Life in his mind grew, the green soul ring began to transform—golden light blossomed within it, turning it into a glorious green-gold hue.
Simultaneously, the soul skill it granted—Domain of Life—underwent a qualitative transformation.
When released, the Domain of Life would place all vitality entirely under Gu You's control. Unless the Tree of Life itself withered, no living being could resist him within that domain.
But this domain wasn't without flaws. Against undead creatures or gods, it would be largely ineffective.
Inside his body, the two cores—his Dragon Core and his newly formed Soul Core—began their first true interaction, bridged by the powerful flow of life energy. Their energies didn't fuse, but they resonated with one another, complementing and enhancing each other's presence.
Surrounded by this vital force, Gu You could keenly feel his body undergoing a complete metamorphosis. He was evolving in the most literal sense.

Minute by minute, the sensation grew clearer, stronger. Meanwhile, throughout the Blood God Legion, every single soldier basked in the same flood of life energy, feeling their own bodies shift and transform under its nurturing wash.
Long Yuxue sat cross-legged atop her bed, soft halos of light rising from her skin. Her complexion grew even more pristine, her features subtly refined and enhanced. Her soul power was refining itself, her body changing under the influence of life energy in ways she could hardly describe.
Jiang Wuyue's body shone with a layer of dark-golden light. He absorbed the life energy with greedy intensity, strengthening his already formidable physique. In pursuing the extremes of physical strength, he had accumulated many hidden injuries—but now, those old wounds were being healed. Slowly but steadily, they began to fade and vanish.
This same transformation was happening throughout the entire legion. Every warrior could feel the subtle improvements—the refreshing of bones, the rejuvenation of cells, the cleansing of hidden ailments.
Xue Er, Xue San, and the other powerful cultivators above the Titled Douluo level had all floated into the air.
Even without meditation, their cultivation levels allowed them to absorb the rich life energy that saturated the air. As they did so, none of them needed to be told what to do—they automatically released their own power to help draw in more elemental energy from the surrounding Endless Mountains. The entire region's elemental energy was now converging above the Blood God Legion, fueling the heart of that life-filled vortex.
And the more elemental power gathered, the stronger the waves of life energy radiating from the vortex's center became.
Beneath the snow-covered earth, green shoots began to silently emerge.
At first, no one noticed. But soon, as more and more sprouts pushed through the snow, someone saw them.
Xue Yi's gaze sharpened. Zhang Huanyun's expression became even more vivid.
He had been stationed here for over sixty years—and never had he seen green in the Endless Mountains. Just to let his soldiers see the color of life, he had spent an exorbitant sum to build a greenhouse and cultivate a few plants.
And now, in this frozen land blanketed with white, real green was appearing. Tiny sprouts, their species unknown, burst through the snow and reached toward the sky.
Green... such a beautiful green.
Snow-dwelling greenery wasn't meant to last—but in that moment, as those shoots emerged, they moved every soul who saw them.
As the life energy continued to pour in, the sprouts began to grow. The biting cold didn't suppress them; instead, the snow's rich water content, infused with life force, nourished them.
Sunlight and moisture worked together to bring them life. And gradually, saplings began to rise across the Endless Mountains.
These young trees absorbed the life energy and, in return, guided elemental energy toward the vortex, feeding the epicenter of the transformation.
Eighty-one, eighty-two, eighty-three!
Gu You's soul power surged, skipping three full ranks before stabilizing.
Though he hadn't achieved a legendary twin-core state, the harmony between his Dragon Core and Soul Core made no difference—they resonated as if they were made to complement each other.
Time passed...
As the life aura finally began to recede, the elemental energy dissipated naturally. But from above, the Endless Mountains—still blanketed in snow—now bore rows of saplings, each over a meter tall.
They wouldn't survive long in this harsh climate. But even so, their presence marked a miracle. A fleeting spring had arrived in the land of eternal winter.
High in the air, the upper echelons of the Blood God Legion opened their pores and breathed deeply, absorbing the last waves of precious life energy. All of them seemed more radiant than ever.
It was now midday.
In just a few hours, the vitality they had absorbed had erased hidden injuries and extended each person's lifespan by at least five years.
That was the power of life force. And for those like Xue Yi and Zhang Huanyun, who had absorbed the purest essence of it from the start—the benefits were even greater.
"Give my thanks to that kid," Zhang Huanyun said, his voice filled with sincerity. "The Blood God Legion owes him—big. Ask him what he wants. Anything we can give, we will. I'll be going into seclusion for a while. Tianwu, handle the daily matters."
With that, Zhang Huanyun vanished into the sky.
Having received such an incredible boon, no one dared to waste it. Each returned to their quarters, ready to cultivate and refine what they had absorbed.
The entire Blood God Legion fell into a deep and peaceful silence—as everyone meditated, digesting the vast sea of life energy that now pulsed quietly through them.
