Knock, knock. A faint knock came from outside the room.

Immediately after, Scathach entered. Glancing at the young man still lying in bed, Scathach asked, "Has my apprentice not woken up yet?"

"He's awake," Artoria said expressionlessly.

"Awake?" Scathach glanced at Asher, whose eyes were

tightly closed.

"Yes, he woke up," Artoria nodded slightly. "But I knocked him out again."

Scathach: "?" She couldn't understand what Lily was doing. Ash just woke up... and then she knocked Ash out again?

"What's wrong?" Just then, Morgan also entered the room.

She looked at the two in the room and asked in confusion,

"What are you talking about? I think I heard something about someone waking up?"

"Let Lily tell you," Scathach said expressionlessly, sitting to the side. If it weren't for the fact that the other person was Lily, she would have already stabbed her with a spear. Artoria lowered her head slightly, an apologetic expression on her face. She didn't want to do it, but Asher had ordered her as "King," so there was nothing she could do.

"It's alright, tell me, Lily, what did you do?" Morgan said, smiling as she stroked Artoria's head. "Your Big Sister

won't blame you."

"Ash woke up just now," Artoria said softly.

"Hmm, I see. And then?" Morgan asked with a smile.

"I knocked him out again." Morgan: "..." Her smile gradually froze.

"What did you say?"

"I knocked him out again," Artoria said again.

"Why...?" Morgan asked tentatively.

"Ash's request." Artoria roughly recounted her conversation with Asher.

"Hmm... So, Ash said he had something he absolutely had to deal with, and then asked you to knock him out, is that right?" Morgan asked. Artoria nodded gently.

"Could it be that his head was messed up from the fight with Vortigern that day?" Morgan muttered to herself.

"But that shouldn't be the case. The scabbard should be able to heal even head injuries, right...?"

"He said it was related to a dream," Artoria whispered. "If only we could see what he's dreaming about."

"Related to a dream?" Scathach muttered, then looked up.

Morgan also happened to look up. After their gazes met for a moment, both unconsciously showed a faint smile.

They might not be able to do it themselves, but a nightmare might be able to. Artoria looked left and right.

For some reason, she suddenly felt an inexplicable chill.

She had a feeling someone was about to have bad luck again.

At the same time, Uathach, who had just arrived at the door, still looked bewildered, watching the two women leave the room. She blinked her eyes and asked in confusion, "What happened?"

...

Asher opened his eyes. He could be sure that he was moving now, because he could see the white clouds in the sky slowly moving backward, and under the blue sky, the Saintess's flawless face looked exceptionally bright and charming in the sunlight. Ah, what a familiar scene, another f***ing bridal carry.

"You've worked hard. Can you put me down first?" Asher said to the Saintess who was carrying him forward.

"You woke up so quickly?" Jeanne looked down, then smiled and said, "Actually, you don't need to worry too much. You're quite light, so carrying you isn't much of a burden."

"That's not really a compliment for a man," Asher sighed sincerely.

"Is that so?" Jeanne tilted her head slightly, but still put Asher down. Only when his feet were firmly on the ground did Asher finally relax. Fortunately, no one saw such an embarrassing scene, otherwise, it would be explosively shameful.

"By the way, where are we?" Asher looked around. It seemed they had just arrived at a village, but luckily there weren't many villagers nearby, so presumably no one had seen him being carried by a girl. By the way,

why didn't Jeanne carry him on her back?

"I'm not sure if assassins are targeting you, so I need to

keep you in my sight," Jeanne immediately said, as if she had read Asher's thoughts.

"I see." Asher nodded gently, understanding Jeanne's reasoning. Although that pose was quite embarrassing, it didn't matter since no one saw it anyway.

"But I was probably overthinking it. We've been safe all the way here, and we haven't found any assassins," Jeanne said to Asher with a smile. "At this rate, we should be able to reach Orleans smoothly." After speaking, she clasped her hands together in prayer. "May the Lord bless us."

Asher merely glanced at her, then turned his attention to the surroundings. Rather than praying to God at a time like this, he wished he could find a place to rest. After all, he hadn't slept well last night; even he needed some rest.

Grumble... An ill-timed growl came from Asher's stomach. He didn't know if he was infected by Lily, but Asher now felt extremely hungry, the kind of hunger that made him panic.

Jeanne looked at Asher in surprise, then smiled and said,

"Let's go to the village ahead to get something to eat. Or do you want to find other animals nearby..." Asher waved his hand and said, "Let's go to the village and see. Eating wild game is prone to viral infections." So, the two walked into the village.

Asher didn't know if his palate had become too refined or if the food in this village was simply too bad. In any case, the grains he ate had no taste, like drinking plain water. The dishes were the same, almost tasteless, simply for filling the stomach. But never mind, as long as he was full.

After eating, Asher turned and surveyed the surroundings. Looking out through the small window, he could see a green meadow not far away, and beyond that, a riverbank. These villagers lived a self-sufficient life.

"The environment here is quite nice, so peaceful," Asher said contentedly.

"It's fine to relax now, but you still need to maintain some vigilance afterwards," Jeanne said earnestly, looking up. "Otherwise, you might be ambushed." Asher turned to look at the serious-faced girl, then smiled faintly and nodded. "Mm, you have a point, but..." He reached out and wiped a grain of rice from the corner of her mouth. "It would be more convincing if you wiped your mouth first."

"What" Jeanne's eyes widened slightly. After all, she was just a sixteen or seventeen-year-old girl. Seeing the grain of rice on Asher's finger, a blush unconsciously appeared on her face. She swatted his hand away, then buried her head and silently continued eating the rest of her meal.

Asher watched this scene, pursed his lips, and forcibly suppressed the smile that was about to burst out. So teasing others was this interesting. No wonder Sister Morgan and Shishou enjoyed teasing him so much.

However, just as he thought this, he suddenly froze, and his smile tightened slightly. For some reason, Asher suddenly felt an inexplicable sense of crisis.

"What's wrong? Mr. White Dragon?" Jeanne asked in confusion.

"I feel like I'm being watched..." Asher said. But this shouldn't be possible. His intuition allowed him to sense an enemy's killing intent, but the sense of crisis he felt now wasn't from killing intent. It was more like an indescribable chill. Just now, when he reached out to wipe the grain of rice from Jeanne's mouth, Asher had felt the same way. What exactly was going on? Asher fell into deep thought, looking at Jeanne, who was eating.
