The meeting proceeded smoothly.
What Jibril wanted to convey to the various races was simple: unite all species and form the first and only nation on this planet.
With Victor presiding, none of the representatives dared object.
Finally, all races reached an agreement. The planet's first unified nation was born.
"Now that we've established this country, it needs a name. Lord Victor, would you do us the honor?" Jibril's eyes sparkled with anticipation.
Everyone turned their attention to Victor.
Victor didn't refuse. After a moment's thought, he said, "Let's call it the Elkia Federation."
He wasn't great at naming things, so he simply borrowed from the human kingdom established in the later stages of the war from the original timeline.
"What a wonderful name!" Jibril's eyes lit up with admiration.
Though she didn't fully understand the significance, anything Lord Victor chose had to be perfect!
"Lord Victor, may I speak?" A slender hand rose from among the representatives.
Victor shifted his gaze to the owner of that elegant hand.
Long, fluffy golden hair framed deep purple eyes. She wore a white dress so revealing it could pass for underwear, her exquisite features unforgettable at first glance.
Victor recognized her immediately.
The Elf representative, Sinkunirvalen.
Currently the most powerful mage among the Elves, a legendary octo-caster capable of maintaining eight spells simultaneously.
"Go ahead," Victor said.
Sinku stood, sweeping her gaze across everyone present. "Lord Victor, I believe you're well aware that the only reason our various races are willing to set aside our grudges and sit here discussing nation-building isn't because of Jibril, the One True God candidate, but because you're here."
"It's no exaggeration to say that without your presence today, none of us would have sent representatives."
"But just now, Jibril assigned the position of king to the Flügel Azriel. I disagree with this choice, and I'm sure the other races would as well, correct?"
As her words echoed through the chamber, representatives from all races nodded in agreement.
Except for Scott, the human representative Victor had brought, everyone present possessed extraordinary combat power and ranked among the strongest of their respective species.
The strong had their pride.
They considered themselves superior, how could they possibly obey orders from another race?
"Furthermore..." Sinku paused, her gaze settling on Azriel, who occupied the Flügel representative's seat. "From what I know, she's notoriously foolish. Are you certain this country won't be destroyed with her as king?"
Everyone was shocked. Even the other tribes knew Azriel was an idiot!
"What did you say, nyan?!" Azriel exploded.
If the rules didn't forbid it, she would've launched a Heavenly Smite at the elf right then and there.
"I'm simply stating facts. You're a fool, even your own kind agree."
As a former enemy, Sinku possessed considerable intelligence on the Flügel.
This included the fact that Azriel was called an idiot among her own people.
Supposedly, even their creator, the God of War, had acknowledged this!
Victor studied Azriel, pinching his chin thoughtfully before nodding. "Hmm... now that you mention it, Azriel really isn't suitable to be king."
"Lord Victor!" Azriel puffed out her cheeks, turning to Victor with tears welling in her eyes, looking ready to burst into sobs at any moment.
Victor had no choice but to pat her head soothingly. "Don't misunderstand. I'm not calling you stupid. I just think being king is exhausting work, and I can't bear to see you suffer like that."
"I see!" Azriel's sadness transformed into joy instantly.
So Lord Victor didn't make me king because he was worried I'd be overworked?
Lord Victor is so gentle!
He really made me cry to death!
Watching Azriel being manipulated with a single sentence, even Jibril felt a sudden wave of regret.
What was I thinking earlier, suggesting a fool like Azriel become king?
Do I have a hole in my brain?
Victor asked, "Who do you think would be more suitable as king?"
"You, of course!" Sinku answered without hesitation.
"Your strength is evident to everyone here. No one would object to you becoming king!"
The representatives nodded in agreement once more.
Victor almost felt like they were only here to nod.
"I can't do it," Victor refused.
"Why not?" Sinku tilted her head, genuinely puzzled.
"As you said, I have ability as a person, but when it comes to governance, I might not even match Azriel."
Of course, the real reason was that Victor was lazy.
Being a king was exhausting work.
This wasn't a lie either.
Look at Tsunade, she was already swamped just managing the small Ninja World.
This planet was more than ten times larger than the Ninja World and housed numerous different races.
Most importantly, this nation had just been founded.
Everything was difficult at the beginning, and that applied to governing a country too.
Having finally become an immortal cultivator, he had no intention of becoming a corporate slave again.
"What about Jibril then?" Sinku could only settle for second best, turning her attention to the Flügel.
Though she disliked Jibril, even hated her with a passion, it was undeniable that aside from Victor, she was the most suitable candidate.
This person was the One True God candidate and also an Extra Individual of the Flügel race.
If you needed strength, she had strength. If you needed brains, she had brains.
Unexpectedly, Jibril shook her head as well.
"I can't either."
"Why not?"
"Because I don't want to be king."
Everyone, "..."
What a straightforward reason!
Actually, Jibril's reason was quite simple.
She needed to cultivate.
Ever since witnessing the battle between Stelle and Kiana and realizing how powerful cultivators could become, she'd resolved to train diligently and catch up to the other girls in the group as quickly as possible.
Being king was too tiring and would waste precious cultivation time.
"Why don't you become king instead?" Victor suddenly suggested.
"Me?!" Sinku's eyes widened as she pointed at herself in disbelief.
Victor nodded. "That's right. You're the strongest among the Elves and also the most intelligent person here. You'd be perfect for the role."
"But if I became king, would the others accept it?" Sinku turned to look at the other race representatives.
Without exception, every face showed dissatisfaction.
Victor snorted coldly. "Accept it or not, you have no choice, because this is what I've decided."
As those words fell, everyone's faces paled. Their resentment vanished without a trace in an instant.
Faster than flipping pages in a book.
"It's settled then. You'll be king and govern the country. The other races will follow Sinku's commands."
"But Sinku, I hope you won't use your position to suppress the various races. My vision is to see all species living together happily in a country without conflict or mutual harm. Do you understand?"
Sinku immediately knelt on one knee before Victor. "I will not let you down!"
