Though they seemed to be walking, the two figures floated effortlessly in the air.
Their appearances bore a faint resemblance to Kaguya's — one tall and burly, the other slender, seated on his companion's shoulder with a light veil covering her face. Both were clad in flowing white robes.
They were none other than Ōtsutsuki Momoshiki and Ōtsutsuki Kinshiki.
"This world… how odd. Such a massive amount of chakra," Momoshiki muttered, his voice tinged with intrigue.
"Momoshiki sama, wasn't this the channel you opened to trace that enormous chakra signature?" Kinshiki asked respectfully.
"Indeed. The channel is stable this time, no deviation at all," Momoshiki replied, his pale eyes narrowing. "But still… this chakra is astounding. Far beyond my expectations."
"Isn't that good?" Kinshiki said with a chilling smile. "The richer the chakra, the greater our harvest."
Suddenly, ripples spread through the air before them. A portal shimmered open, and Ayanami Kaito stepped out, his face calm and unreadable.
The two intruders stiffened at his sudden arrival.
"This man's chakra is vast," Kinshiki muttered. "I can sense traces of that traitor in him."
Momoshiki's expression hardened as he stepped forward, his tone icy. "Tell me, what is your relationship with Ōtsutsuki Kaguya?"
"My wife," Kaito answered without hesitation, his voice flat and indifferent.
"Excellent. If you are her husband, then killing you should be enough to draw her out." Momoshiki's lips curled into a faint smile. His eyes glimmered with greed as he added, "The chakra within you… it is immense. The fruit you'd make would surely be exquisite. Kinshiki, go."
In the blink of an eye, Kinshiki's massive form blurred into a streak of white, rushing toward Kaito. He extended a hand, a crimson halo forming and twisting into a chain of blazing energy that shot forward.
But Kaito stood unshaken, his expression unchanging. Purple-black lightning crackled across his arm as he seized the chain with his bare hand.
Before Kinshiki could react, Kaito's other hand pierced forward like a thunderbolt.
Pshhh!
Blood sprayed as his fist tore through Kinshiki's chest.
A rush of wind followed — Kinshiki's war cry. The massive Ōtsutsuki swung a red, metallic staff down toward Kaito's head.
Kaito whirled, his lightning-clad fist colliding with the staff in an explosion that cracked the sky itself.
Boom!
The shockwave split the mountains below, rending the earth apart.
Kinshiki's eyes widened in disbelief. His weapon had snapped in two, unable to withstand the sheer force of Kaito's strike. The attack carried through, his chest pierced once more by the searing purple thunder.
With a flick, Kaito hurled the battered Ōtsutsuki down toward the ground.
BOOM!
The impact shook the land like an earthquake, collapsing the terrain into a massive crater.
Watching from above, Momoshiki's expression didn't falter. Instead, his lips curved into something hungry, his gaze fixed on Kaito.
"Such strength. Chakra this refined would make for a divine fruit. I can hardly wait."
From within the sealed space, Kaguya's voice trembled with urgency. "Kaito-kun, be careful! That one is Momoshiki — the true pursuer. The other was nothing but his servant!"
"Relax," Kaito replied, his tone calm and resolute. "With my power as it is now, neither of them can stand against me."
He turned his gaze toward Momoshiki, his face composed, though his mind was racing. In the records, Momoshiki can absorb chakra. Let's see if he can handle my thunder fruit's power.
With a wave of his hand, Kaito summoned a serpent of purple-black lightning, its coils twisting across the sky. The beast shot forward, its gaping maw aimed to devour Momoshiki whole.
But Momoshiki remained unflinching. He raised his left hand, revealing a Rinnegan embedded in his palm, pulsing with ominous ripples.
Hum!
The thunder serpent was sucked into the eye in an instant, only to reemerge magnified, hurled back at Kaito with devastating force. The air warped around it, the serpent's body blotting out the horizon as it descended.
Kaito's brow furrowed. So it's true — he really can return chakra attacks even stronger than before.
But just as the enhanced beast lunged, Kaito raised his hand. With a simple motion, the serpent vanished into nothingness.
Lightning was his domain. Enemy-born or self-made, it mattered little — all thunder bowed to his will.
At this stage, Kaito's mastery over elements was unparalleled. Fire, wind, water, earth, yin, yang — he could bend them all to fuse into devastating forms, with lightning as their heart. He was the storm itself, a god of thunder standing unchallenged.
The only disappointment was clear: ninjutsu meant nothing against Momoshiki.
"Looks like I'll have to use that," Kaito thought.
Momoshiki sneered, his voice echoing with arrogance. "Do you understand now? Kaguya fled because her jutsu were useless against me. And you, too, will fall the same way."
"Is that so?" Kaito replied coolly, his eyes glinting. "From where I stand, you look rather fragile."
Momoshiki's gaze darkened. "Insolent. Your chakra will be mine!"
He surged forward, both hands outstretched, aiming to seize Kaito.
But Kaito was already moving. His fist, wrapped in radiant power, punched straight toward Momoshiki.
Whoooom!
A massive white beam burst forth, tearing through the sky as it engulfed his opponent.
Momoshiki chuckled coldly, unbothered. "Futile. Your attacks are meaningless to me." He thrust his hands forward, prepared to absorb it.
Yet the moment his palms met the light, his smirk vanished.
His eyes widened in shock. "Impossible…! I can't absorb it!"
