Chapter 299 - 299: Momoshiki Falls.

"What's going on? Why can't I breathe?"

The next instant, the white beam of light that tore through space slammed into Ōtsutsuki Momoshiki's body. His hands crossed before him as he tried to absorb the attack, yet his expression twisted in shock.

"Why… why can't I absorb this?"

His palms trembled, the Rinnegan glowing in panic, but the beam refused to be drawn in.

Kaito's voice rang out coldly, "Just realizing now? Took you long enough."

Momoshiki's eyes narrowed.

So what if he could absorb chakra-based ninjutsu? Kaito was not limited to chakra. His taijutsu was equally terrifying, honed alongside his Devil Fruit powers. With the Eight Inner Gates unlocked and his body further enhanced by Kaguya's power within him, his physical might had reached a level even gods would fear.

"Let's see if you can handle this." Kaito sneered.

In a flash, he appeared before Momoshiki, fists clenched. "Blood Requiem... Second Step!"

BOOM!

Two enormous shockwaves of compressed air smashed together, surging toward Momoshiki with unstoppable force. He barely managed to brace against the first, but the second—twice as powerful—slammed into him before he could react.

His body was engulfed in the blinding torrent, hurled into the ground like a meteor.

The earth roared. Tremors ripped across the land as the shockwaves split mountains apart, carving a crater so deep it resembled an endless abyss.

Kaito looked down with disdain. "That's it? I expected more. You disappoint me."

Momoshiki rose shakily from the pit, blood spilling from his mouth, his arrogance replaced by fury. He had traveled across dimensions, consuming countless lives for chakra, yet this was the first time he had been pushed to such humiliation.

"You… damn mortal!" he spat.

But before he could recover, Kaito was already in front of him again, his fist cocked back. "Blood Requiem… Third Step!"

The third strike howled forward, the air itself screaming as the attack bore down on Momoshiki. Kaito wasn't interested in dragging this fight out—he wanted it finished. He wanted to return to Kaguya and the child waiting for him.

Momoshiki's eyes widened. He knew this blow could end him. In desperation, he summoned his chakra, molding it into a massive serpent-like beast of mud and stone—Golem Creation. The dragon-headed construct roared forward to intercept.

But against Kaito's Blood Requiem, it was dust. The colossal beast shattered instantly, crumbling into nothing under the raw pressure of the strike.

"No… impossible!" Momoshiki gasped, frozen for a fatal heartbeat.

"Lord Momoshiki!" Kinshiki, gravely wounded but still conscious, appeared beside him, wrapped in crackling purple lightning. His voice was desperate. "Use that power! Now!"

Momoshiki grabbed his servant without hesitation. Kinshiki's form twisted violently, condensing into a fruit eerily reminiscent of the God Tree's fruit.

Kaguya's urgent voice rang in Kaito's mind. "Kaito-kun! That's the God Tree's fruit—stop him! If he eats it, his strength will skyrocket!"

Kaito's gaze hardened, but his tone was calm. "Don't worry. Even then, he won't match me."

Momoshiki devoured the fruit whole.

A roar tore from his throat as power exploded outward, shaking the skies. His body warped, growing taller, more monstrous. A third eye—an ominous purple Rinnegan—opened on his forehead, while the Rinnegan in his palms shifted color. His aura became suffocating.

With a twisted grin, he summoned three titanic dragon-beasts of earth chakra, each larger than the mountains themselves. "Let's see you withstand this!"

The first beast was obliterated by Kaito's strikes, the second shattered moments later. The third staggered back, cracked but holding, barely stopping the force.

Kaito narrowed his eyes. "Impressive… but still not enough."

Momoshiki, half-crazed, laughed wildly. He spread his arms, aligning his three Rinnegan. "Eighty Gods Vacuum Attack!"

Golden light flared across the horizon, condensing into a beam vast enough to pierce the heavens.

Kaito's expression remained steady. Chakra-based attacks meant nothing to him. Only pure power would decide this battle. He clenched his fists and launched himself forward.

"One Step!"

"Two Steps!"

"Three Steps!"

"Four Steps!"

"Five Steps!"

Five titanic shockwaves of Blood Requiem roared forth, merging into one.

The clash shook the entire world. Golden light and white shockwaves collided, carving scars into the sky and rending mountains in half. The shockwave reached as far as Konoha, interrupting the Hokage inauguration ceremony. Naruto, Kakashi, and the gathered shinobi froze, their eyes widening in horror.

"That power…!" Kakashi muttered.

"...Kaito," Naruto whispered, clutching his chest.

The two forces collapsed upon each other, exploding into a storm that split mountains and cleaved clouds. Villages crumbled. Even the lofty peaks of Kumogakure were severed cleanly in half.

Momoshiki staggered, panic in his eyes. His strongest technique had been overpowered. He was cornered.

"This… this can't be! Who is this man?!"

Realization struck him—if he remained, he would die. He prepared to open a dimensional rift to escape.

Kaguya's voice whispered in Kaito's mind again. "Kaito-kun, I can hold his portal for only ten seconds. No more!"

"That's all I need," Kaito replied, his lips curving into a deadly smile.

Scarlet steam erupted from his body, his aura igniting into crimson flames. The ground beneath him shattered as if crushed beneath a god's presence.

Momoshiki's eyes widened. Fear overtook him for the first time. "No… not this…!"

Kaito roared, his voice echoing across the world.

"Night Guy!"

The crimson aura erupted into the form of a colossal dragon, wrapping around Kaito as he charged. The dragon tore space apart, a cataclysm made flesh. Its roar alone sent shivers down the spines of every living being on Earth.

Momoshiki's heart froze. He knew. He had lost.

The crimson dragon engulfed him whole. Bones cracked, flesh split, and in an instant, the god who once devoured worlds was reduced to nothing but a cloud of blood.

Kaito landed, his aura still burning around him.

The threat of Momoshiki and Kinshiki Ōtsutsuki—those who once hunted Kaguya—had ended.

Forever.
