“Yes!” Noa responded, as though surprised that Cassandra didn’t know about it.
Cassandra widened her eyes and looked at her, then slowly nodded.
“Well, I’ll participate if it’s held. If it’s about choosing the empire’s hero, there’s no reason not to…”
“That’s true. Though it might carry a deeper meaning for you and the other Highnesses.”
“Huh?”
Cassandra tilted her head in response to Noa’s unexpected words. The hunting competition was a significant event, and winning it carried a lot of prestige. However, she didn’t understand why being a princess would make a difference.
“Haven’t you heard the rumor? Lately, Her Majesty has been considering choosing the heir to the throne. There’s a lot of talk that the one who wins might become the heir,” Noa added with a smile.
Cassandra widened her eyes and stared at her.
“There’s a rumor like that going around?”
“Huh? You didn’t know?”
