"Papa..." Lillia said while looking up, she was standing on a small chair at the Bathroom sink and both Father and Daughter were brushing their teeth.
"Yes Lillia." Azel said as he continued brushing.
Lillia bit her lip. Even when she was standing on this chair, she wasn't even as tall as him. Maybe if she hovered...
The foam from the toothpaste was already building up in her mouth, but she kept brushing in the regular way Papa had taught her.
Up and down on the back teeth, gentle circles on the front ones, and don't forget the tongue.
She watched him in the mirror.
He looked tired… not the kind of tiredness that sleep fixed, but the deeper kind that made his eyes look distant sometimes when he thought no one was watching.
"I think you forgot something." Lillia said around her toothbrush.
