"So let me get this straight... That werewolf that attacked the soldiers of the town led you to a world underneath and you took over?" Medusa asked with a few blinks, even she couldn't believe it however Azel nodded and confirmed it.
"Yes, that's pretty much it then I took over." Azel said. "So those times I disappeared at night... I was usually going there to check on them but Selene deserves more credit for co-ordinating them when I'm not around."
Selene's tail shook behind her and everyone could see that she was happy even though she was trying to hide it.
Her ears twitched. She tried to keep her expression neutral but the joy leaked through anyway. Her hands gripped her fork tighter.
"My Lord..." She muttered under her breath and then stuffed her face full of meat. "Lady Edna, this is really sweet. Thanks for the food."
The flavors exploded on her tongue. It was better than anything Irene made in Lycas, and Irene was an exceptional cook.
