Chapter 149 - 149

"Cat! Cat! The cats of the Fire Dragon and the Imp both came out from here! When I find that cat, I will make him mine!"

Gajeel was acting crazy, obsessed with the fact that he didn't have a cat. After learning about a cat's whereabouts from Edolas himself, Gajeel wanted from the bottom of his heart to make that cat his partner.

As for how he met his Edolas counterpart, it was rather dramatic.

Gajeel from Edolas was a famous freelance journalist who often published reports criticizing the king in magazines and newspapers. He wasn't exactly popular among the people of the town.

These two, both disliked in their own ways, met when Gajeel was searching for a cat. It was like love at first sight — they were like-minded and quickly became friends after a few chats. From him, Gajeel got information about a cat.

Panther Lily, captain of the First Magic Combat Unit of the Kingdom of Edolas. Such identity, such strength.

Gajeel made up his mind to claim that cat and have him compete with the Fire Dragon's cat — to crush the blue cat once and for all.

As for how to attract him?Very simple — just give Edolas's army a little pressure, and that cat will come running!

"Me from Edolas? I'm really looking forward to it."

Erza stood tall in her Heavenly Wheel Armor, surrounded by the ruins of a battlefield. Behind her lay a defeated team of 300 soldiers.

In front of her, Edolas Erza flew in fast, riding a dragon-like creature. She leapt down midair, transforming her Ten Commandments Spear and striking toward Erza like a meteor.

Boom!

The two collided, sending shockwaves that blew away the soldiers on the ground. The fierce battle between the two Erzas had begun.

"Cana, Cana, Cana…"

"I'm sick!"

"Oh, be gentle."

Gildarts held two Canas in his arms — one violent, one gentle. Having two daughters at once made him feel like life was complete.

Laxus looked at the scene, deep in thought. Both seemed pretty good to him.

"Master Gray!"

"Juvia!"

"So annoying!" *2

The four of them glared at each other, each one itching to knock the other two out.

"Usually? Is there anything I should be careful about?"

Wendy held a small notebook, quickly jotting down notes as she listened to her older self's advice.

"Is there no one else capable of fighting?"

Natsu roared as flames exploded around him, wiping out the entire Kingdom Army.

"Well… we can withdraw now," said the timid Natsu from Edolas.

"Well…"

"Hey! You haven't even gotten in the car yet!"

"I'm sorry! Just seeing your face makes me dizzy…"

Each guild member had their own battles. Caesar had temporarily left and arrived at the Caesar Mansion in Edolas.

The mansion, once grand and luxurious, now looked abandoned and covered in dust.

Caesar pushed open the door — darkness. The air was thick with silence and decay.

"What's going on here?" Caesar frowned. It made no sense that someone so wealthy could vanish overnight.

"Died?" Caesar muttered, his thoughts turning grim. With such an ominous name, it was hard not to expect tragedy.

"Ready, Kakarot."

Sensing a familiar presence, Caesar detected Xisa's aura and instantly teleported to him.

"Who?"

In a tunnel beneath a bridge, Caesar sat up alertly, listening.

Caesar stood before him, eyes narrowing at the sight of the boy — sunken eyes, body wrapped in rags, his right arm and left leg missing.

"Why are you like this?" Caesar asked.

"This voice… You're me, from Ascalante?!" Xisa said in shock.

"Don't talk. I'll treat you."

Caesar sighed, summoning his take over magic. He rebuilt Xisa's body, then used fusion treatment and finished with the power of rejection from Inoue Orihime.

After a while, Xisa stood again, smiling faintly. "It's really great to see you. I thought this was the end of my life."

"What happened?" Caesar asked.

Xisa sighed. "It's my fault. I was too reckless. I wanted to take every woman I saw into my harem. I didn't expect to take in a traitor."

He told Caesar how his greed led to betrayal and ambush. As a smuggler of magic props, he had no loyalty or allies. He was lucky to have survived at all.

"So…" Xisa said, patting Caesar's shoulder. "You were right last time. Lust is like a knife that scrapes bone. From today, I'll give up lust! If I ever fall for someone again, I'll find one woman I can truly trust, just like you!"

Caesar froze.

No, brother! When you say that, it sounds like it's my turn to be promiscuous!

Thinking of the different personalities between worlds, Caesar panicked. He'd already let Mira down once — he couldn't let that happen again.

In the Alvarez Empire, Timalia and Brandish had silently agreed to forget what happened. Everyone treated it like a dream — and that was for the best.

So…

Caesar patted Xisa's shoulder firmly. "No, be a man. Be yourself. You were fine the way you were. You don't need to change for me."

"???"

Xisa was confused, then shook his head. "No, I've realized my mistakes. I'll change. I want to be like you."

"Don't! Don't!" Caesar panicked, covering his mouth. "Stay the same or I'll hit you!"

"Woo woo woo…"

Xisa struggled, but Caesar's grip was iron-strong.

Seeing the dangerous look in Caesar's eyes, Xisa nodded quickly in surrender.

Once he did, Caesar released him, smiling. "That's right. Be brave. Be yourself. You're the best you there is."

Xisa nodded silently, thinking, Just agree and wait for him to leave. That look in his eyes is terrifying…
