Mariana:
We were twins, but I was the older one because I was born a few moments before her.
Seeing my little sister suffer like this in front of me shattered me.
There was a strange pain in my chest, and I finally broke down. I could not hold it in anymore. My sister, my little sister, was in so much pain.
"I am going to miss you too," Fauna said, crying.
"You should go there and start your life again with Haiden."
I spoke, rubbing my face with my hands. I did not want to make her cry, but I could not stop myself.
"You too. You will stay here and start your life, even though it feels so unfair," Fauna said, complaining softly about why we had to stay behind.
I knew she was being emotional.
"I will come to see you. Maybe in a year, maybe two, or maybe five. By then, we might even have families of our own. Make sure you tell your children about me," I said softly, still holding her hand.
