Julius said, "I'm sorry, Liebe. It had to end this way. You simply should have known you weren't strong enough to stand. I truly am sorry."
As the dust settled, Liebe said, "Sorry about what? Your pathetic attempt of an attack?"
Julius said, "Good to see you are still standing. Otherwise, it would just be nothing."
Liebe said, "I will show you magic the likes of which you have never seen before."
Julius said, "Ohhh, I am so scared."
Liebe said, "Dark Magic: Summon Abyssal Gate!"
As Licht and the others were watching, Lichee said, "Whooaa! He is using my signature magic!"
Licht said, "Your spell? Isn't that Aunt Lilith's signature spell?"
Liebe said, "It all ends here. Open, Abyssal Gate! I hereby offer this victory to my Captain."
Julius said, "Then I hereby offer my victory to the Goddess of the Hearth."
Lichee said, "What? Is that supposed to mean?"
Licht said, "They basically promised victory."
Lichee said, "Promising victory to your country? That's a bit much. How are you supposed to fight with so much pressure?"
Licht said, "It's about loyalty."
As the gates opened, they began to pull everything toward itself.
Liebe said, "This is the ultimate gate spell. Whoever enters will turn to dust in an instant. There is no escape."
As it started to pull, even the golems were getting pulled in, yet they were resisting.
Liebe said, "Can resist, I see. I suppose some force is required. Now: Abyssal Chains!"
As chains from inside the gate came out and pierced the golems—while two tried to defend, the third was protecting Julius—Liebe said, "Purgatory!"
All three golems were pulled in and turned to dust.
Julius said, "I will not lose this battle! Now: Stone Magic: Heaven's Pillar!"
While Julius tried to resist, ultimately, he failed.
Then, two people rushed from the crowd. They said, "We will not let Julius fall! Water x Mercury Combo Spell: Ocean of Alchemy!"
A huge silver attack was launched at Liebe.
Licht said, "I'm done watching this BS."
Julius said, "Emma! Jake! What are you doing?"
Emma said, "Join us for the final strike!"
Julius said, "Let's end this!"
As the combined tidal wave rushed toward Liebe, Jake said, "This is the famous tide that drowned every nation in the Southern Auricle."
Emma said, "There is no escape!"
Liebe said, "Who is escaping? Now: Dark Magic: Grand Gate, Open!"
The Abyssal Gate began to pull in the water even closer.
Emma and Jake said, "You won't beat us alone!"
As Liebe was getting knocked back, Liebe said, "Black Chain Strike!"
From the Abyssal Gate, harpooned chains pierced Emma and Jake in their thighs and arms.
Julius said, "Emma! Jake!"
Emma and Jake said, "We are fine!" as they pushed through.
Liebe said, "Damn. If they are trying this hard, then maybe—"
At this point, as Licht entered the fray, he said, "Interfering in Liebe's battle is an insult—and an insult to my Captain will not be taken lightly. And Liebe, just because they are not giving up doesn't mean you should. Now: Light Magic: Divine Light's Piercing Execution!"
A pillar of light extended from his blade, and as it clashed with the combo spell, his spell vaporized the mercury and water and pierced through.
Licht said, "Now, time to end this: Light Magic: Scattering Light, Threefold!"
He launched a slash from his sword, which scattered into three, knocking out Emma and Jake, with Julius barely standing.
Someone intervened and said, "This battle is over. Liebe Faust is hereby disqualified, and thus Julius wins by default."
Licht said, "What the hell?"
The referee said, "I, Jade Jame, representative of Alumno and the son of Duce, the former 14th Seat, declare this as Liebe's defeat. Even though the act of Emma and Jake is unacceptable, people who were not invited entering this sacred temple is far more unacceptable."
Liebe just laughed and said, "Damn, you guys really came."
Licht said, "Listen, there is a very good reason why we are here."
As Lia dropped down on them, she said, "Then go on, tell us. Otherwise, I will send you six feet under."
Licht said, "Umm, well… we got lost."
Lichee said, "Yes, we got lost."
Alysa said, "That's what happened."
Isurugi said, "Positive."
Fate stated, "It's that's what happened."
Gaia said, "We were sneaking around."
As everyone else was thinking the same thing: Yup, we are dead. All very, very dead.
Licht said, "Well, we really were lost. But what happened is we sensed Liebe's mana and came to ask for directions. And when we heard we couldn't enter, we sneaked around a bit."
As Lia threw them off the cliff and said, "Don't come back, dumbasses!"
After landing on the ground, Alysa said, "Is everyone alive?"
Isurugi said, "Yes."
Gaia said, "I'm good."
Fate said, "No injuries."
Lichee said, "That hurt."
Licht said, "Is everyone okay?"
They said, "Yes."
Licht said, "Good. Because we are climbing back up again."
Alysa said, "Sorry, what?"
Licht said, "Come on, guys. All we saw was the opening fight. And what's so fun about seeing that in a festival? Let's climb back up again."
Lichee said, "Let's do it! But this time, if anything happens, we all will say 'Licht'."
Alysa said, "Definitely."
Isurugi said, "Sounds great."
As they climbed up this time, they saw Julius stated, "Next, it will be Haldonia vs. Aldina. Both warriors, up front."
It was Warner vs. Hwang.
Warner said, "In support for the victory, and in the name of the God of Darkness, I offer this battle to the people of Aldina."
Hwang said, "In support for the victory, I offer this to the people of Haldonia."
Lichee said, "Yeah, this really is a bit much. Promising victory to your country."
Licht said, "This is what creates extremists."
Alysa said, "Listen, Lichee, Liebe, and I support the fact you want and like to fight, but we do not support you becoming an extremist for a petty victory like this, okay? If you win, good. If you lose, you lose. No need to get your blood boiling, okay?"
Lichee said, "Sure."
Isurugi said, "Their spirit sure is intense."
As the battle between Hwang and Warner ended, Warner came out on top.
Next was Zen from Hazen and Leo Conquista from Baledial. As they entered on stage, Leo said, "I offer this battle to the people of Baledial."
Zen said, "I offer this battle to the people of Hazen."
As they were watching, Liebe was watching with a drink.
Ava said, "Drinking so soon, despite your defeat?"
Liebe said, "I'm simply enjoying the battle."
Ava said, "This battle is a joke. Who has the time to consider the lives of insects?"
Liebe said, "I must disagree. If you have the time to consider who is human and who is not, I think you are far more likely to succeed if you utilized that time on self-improvement. But I suppose my words fall on deaf ears."
Ava said, "In that case, show me."
The battle ended with Leo Conquista winning.
Julius said, "The next battle is Joseph Strong from Draken vs. Ava Bouduin of the Empire."
Ava said, "How unfortunate. I didn't get to finish our conversation. I was quite interested in knowing how much the little corpse cared about you before ripping you apart."
As they stepped on stage, Joseph said, "I offer this battle to the people of Draken."
Ava said, "How boring. I offer this victory to my amusement. And this corpse—die a slow death."
Seeing Ava again, Alysa began to hyperventilate as she couldn't breathe.
Licht said, "Here is your inhaler," as he helped Alysa while they were watching from behind the pillar.
As the battle began, Horn—who was now disguised as Joseph—wasn't able to keep up. And just when she was about to lose, Ava said, "Done so soon?" as she was tormenting Horn.
Seeing this, Warner said, "A battle is supposed to continue till the other person is down, but this—"
Hwang said, "I know. I don't think this is what a warrior is supposed to be."
As Warner went to Julius and asked, "How can this display of torment be allowed?"
Julius said, "Ava hasn't broken any rules, and Joseph hasn't given up yet. There is nothing to be done."
Warner said, "Even so—"
As Liebe entered and said, "Continue any further, and your opponent will be me."
Ava said, "Now you are here to ruin my fun? You lost, little lamb."
As everyone saw this, people couldn't decide what was wrong and right.
Liebe said, "Do what you must, but a warrior isn't he who torments another. If you want to win, best him or kill him in an attack. But this is never allowed."
Ava said, "It appears I will have to end you before that little toy of yours."
Liebe said, "I dare you."
Ava just said, "I suppose I have had my fill. But perhaps next time, I may not be so merciful."
And then, Liebe helped carry Joseph to the bar while the other battles were ongoing, as Liebe and everyone watched.
