As Liebe was watching, Joseph said, "I'm sorry, Liebe. I failed you."
Liebe said, "It is quite alright. You did your best."
Joseph said, "Even so, I should have used more of my power and won against her as a combatant."
Liebe said, "You did your best, and the fact you kept your identity and strength a secret is all that matters. You maintained the secret, Horn. You did what was required. Now, rest for a bit."
Horn said, "Of course."
As Jade sat on the stool beside them, he said, "Greetings."
Liebe said, "Hey, man. How you doing?"
Jade said, "Sorry I had to make you lose, but the battle sure was interesting."
Liebe said, "No problem. It was quite amusing, yet unfortunate that they were just using 10%. I'm quite uninterested in those who hold back."
Jade said, "Wow—a criminal stating the crime. That's a first."
Liebe said, "I suppose I'm guilty in that regard as well."
While Licht and the others were watching this, Licht said, "Why the hell is that bastard so buddy-buddy with Liebe?"
M said, "He is annoying. I want to punch him in the face."
Licht said, "I want to spill his guts out."
Lichee said, "I want to punch his guts out."
Isurugi said, "I want to transform into my wolf state and chase him while barking for an hour before biting his nuts off."
Fate said, "I want to call him a bad person."
Gaia said, "I want to call him a meanie."
Elizabeth said, "I want to send him to the Shadow Realm forever."
Alysa said, "I want to make something delicious for him with dog poop in it."
As everyone looked at Alysa and said, "That's a bit too harsh! The dude isn't that bad!"
As Liebe and Jade were talking, Jade said, "So, what happened that you didn't show up last year?"
Liebe said, "I was working on something."
Jade said, "Interesting. You truly are a complex individual, Liebe Faust. When you first showed up here at the age of 8, I truly believed you were going to suffer defeat. Yet you were as emotionless as possible. And even though I joined myself at 4… for an 8-year-old, something truly was different. I never knew an individual could have such fearful eyes till I saw your black, endless eyes. Of course, most thought you were just all bark and no bite until you showed your fangs. And then, for some reason, people started calling you 'the wolf in sheep's clothing.'"
Liebe said, "Yet unfortunately, I still can't comprehend that title."
Jade said, "It's rather simple, really. When you came, you had the face of a child—quite adorable indeed. But you came with the Commander of the then 20th Chair of the 25 Princes of Hell—the right hand of Lilith Faust. Yet most laughed till you showed your bloodlust. Afterwards, every year you appeared in the Festival of Warriors. And unfortunately for the past nine years, people have tried, yet none could succeed. Everyone had utterly failed… until today, when you lost. Finally."
Liebe said, "Says the guy who declared I lost."
Jade said, "My sincere apologies."
Licht and the others, watching from hiding, said, "This guy has some nerve telling Liebe he lost because of me!"
Lichee said, "I will murder him and drink his blood!"
Alysa said, "Killing is okay, but cannibalism isn't."
Lichee said, "Sorry."
Alysa said, "Okay, good."
As Jade stated, "But I must say, if that's yourself, you are indeed a force to be reckoned with—and quite loyal as well. How fortunate for you to have such a Commander, or right hand."
Liebe said, "Thanks."
Watching that, Licht said, "Told you he was a good guy."
Everyone else saw and said, "Sure, sure."
Jade said, "But I'm quite impressed by that girl with Light Magic. Of course, it's hard to determine, yet she is quite frightening indeed."
M said, "Told you he knows strong people when he sees one."
Besides Licht, everyone saw and thought, Sure, sure.
Jade said, "But I'm quite curious about the wolf demi-human and the musician. And what about the young girl? I can assume she is someone like your little sister. She is indeed quite adorable."
Elizabeth said, "Told you he is good."
Isurugi said, "Of course he is."
Fate said, "Agreed."
Seeing this, Alysa said, "What the frick?"
Lichee said, "Wow, are they really that easy to manipulate?"
Gaia said, "Are they being mind-controlled?"
Jade said, "Of course, the Godkin was quite excellent as well. I can assume you two are in a relationship. You are quite the lucky individual."
Alysa said, "Told you he isn't bad."
Lichee said, "Didn't you want to feed him dog poop?"
Alysa said, "Of course not!"
Jade said, "The other female and the child were unique as well. Yet it appears the girl who looks like you—it appears she is strong, yet maybe strong enough to beat me if necessary. And the other girl is unique, too."
Lichee said, "Told you he is good."
Gaia said, "Of course."
Jade said, "It appears with a lineup like them, you won't have any issues making it to one of the 25 Princes of Hell, since the reason why they are truly feared and revered all around is their own monstrous strength and a close lineup of Commanders who can hold their own in any situation. And it appears you can fulfill both boxes. And you are Liebe Faust—you bear the name Faust. People bearing that name have appeared in various turning points throughout history."
Liebe said, "Now you are just saying that."
Jade said, "Unfortunately, it's just true. Also, I'm glad you entered the battle. Otherwise, I would have entered myself, as what Ava was doing was simply unacceptable."
As Lia was walking around in a bunny suit, Liebe said, "Umm, sis, what are you doing?"
Lia said, "Well, I heard their juices are simply to die for, and I had this bunny suit, so I thought might as well try it, since it is a club after all."
Liebe said, "Umm, sis, this isn't a club. It's a temple."
Lia said, "Doesn't matter. The cold is far too nice for my flames."
Liebe said, "Okay, then."
Lia said, "Smell the flowers a bit. No point in being so serious. Stress causes more death than battle."
Jade said, "Quite a wise suggestion indeed."
Lia said, "You see? Even he agrees with me. Sorry, who are you again?"
Jade said, "I'm Jade. That would be all."
Lia said, "Exactly. Jade agrees with me."
Liebe said, "I suppose so. Looks like I might enter the next few battles just because of this."
Lia said, "Now that's the spirit! Now drink up—you need more in your system to relax."
Lia said, "Also, does this bunny suit make me look sexy?"
Liebe said, "I guess so."
Lia said, "Come on! Didn't Alysa teach you? Whenever a lady asks a question like that, you always compliment her. Oh, God—I'm late! The next match is mine!"
Jade said, "It was quite the pleasure meeting you."
Lia said, "Same."
As she went on stage, someone said, "The next battle is between Starly from Zias vs. Lia from Eldoria."
As Starly said, "I offer this battle to the people of Zias."
Lia said, "I offer this battle to every Einherjar of Black Rose."
As the battle began, Starly said, "Enchantment Magic: Stone!" As Lia's legs were in stone.
Starly said, "Enchantment Magic: Pain!" As she continued to strike Lia.
Jade said, "Who do you think will win?"
Liebe said, "Big sis."
Jade said, "You sure? Even taking one pain spell from Enchantment Magic is deadly. It multiplies your sense of pain to the point even the passing breeze can be sensed."
Liebe said, "This battle is decided."
