As they were thinning the herd, Liebe said, "Now then, air strike!"
Licht said, "Light Magic: Blazing Rain!"
M said, "Holy Light: Malice Judgment!"
As Fang let out a fire breath, the attack from above seemed effective, now even affecting the terradons.
Liebe said, "Now prepare for second striking!" As the numbers were around 80 thousand.
Iris said, "Liebe, when are we joining?"
Liebe said, "Wait your turn. When the time comes."
Lichee said, "I'm bored!"
Olivia said, "We want to join!"
Liebe said, "Prepare mentally. I will make a man out of you guys. Yet."
Lichee said, "Cool!"
Iris said, "I'm confused."
Olivia said, "That was definitely an insult."
Liebe said, "Alysa, Fate, Isurugi, get ready! There is a 3000-second wait with barely a 30-second gap."
Alysa said, "Got it."
Meanwhile, in the sky where Fang, Licht, and M were preparing for the next attack, Liebe said, "Everyone maintain position. Sky team, prepare for next attack."
Licht said, "Well, that's our cue."
As a spatial portal opened up and Licht was pulled in, M said, "Well, that's bad." M said, "Liebe, Licht has been kidnapped!"
Liebe said, "Great. Licht can take care of himself. You focus on the next attack."
M said, "Fang and I are ready."
Liebe said, "Commence next striking!"
As M and Fang let out the next attack, thinning the herd, meanwhile in a different dimension:
Someone said, "Oh, the great Licht Vaude. We have been expecting you."
Licht said, "Are you the assholes who woke the Zenatal or something?"
The voice said, "Oh no. But we have had our eyes on you for quite some time. We need you to join our crime syndicate as the leader of our religious division."
Licht said, "What the—"
Meanwhile, in the academy, as Lilith came out of a portal:
Gelda said, "Well, good luck with your classes. Make sure to actually teach something and don't just start reading my notes. They are to help you, not for you to just read."
Lilith said, "Yeah, yeah. What do you take me for?"
Gelda said, "An absolute idiot."
Lilith said, "Listen, if it's for Liebe, I can handle a bit of teaching. And he could have asked for my help in Hazen. We could have handled it easy."
Gelda said, "Pretty sure it isn't like that. He is becoming his own man, so it's time for him to battle and grow. Now get going, dumbass. You are getting late for your great self-study history class. Otherwise, Liebe will just scold you again."
Lilith said, "Oh god, I'm going to be late! Quick, make me a portal to class!"
Gelda said, "No. Walk there yourself."
Lilith said, "Fine!" As she ran off to class.
Later, after her class, as Lilith was in the courtyard, she said, "Damn, where is my next class? I forgot. Where are you, Gelda? You are supposed to help me with this stuff. And why is teaching so hard?"
Suddenly, the space changed.
Lilith said, "Who are you, and why are you here? To die?"
A man said, "We are here to end you." As beside him was a 2-meter-tall devil.
Lilith said, "Oh, a devil? Nice. I have one of those too. Now can you just hurry up a bit? I have actual work to do, and you know, I'm kinda bored of these boring villain speeches. I have heard more than enough of 'I did this' and 'I did that,' blah blah blah."
The man said, "Oh, we aren't here for revenge."
Lilith said, "Just start fighting already! If you have heard one evil blah blah blah, you have basically heard plenty. But for a first-timer, a devil is quite nice. You get extra points there, corpse."
The man said, "This is Zou. He isn't a devil. He is an artificial synthesis made specifically to end you, Lilith Faust. Within this space, your magic power is less than one ten-thousandth of what it usually is."
Lilith said, "Yeah, so? And can't you villains come up with something better? I'm bored. Just start already. I may be a bit old, but come on. I'm never going to lose to something this lame. And honestly, you came after me, a prince of hell, for your first time? It shows you are a dumbass."
The man said, "Zou, end her!"
As Zou appeared in front of Lilith and tried to punch her, the Abyssal Gate appeared behind Zou, its chains preventing it from punching her.
Lilith said, "Come on, just one? Usually, some of you guys bring like 10 or 20 something."
As it was getting pulled into the Abyssal Gate, Zou ripped off its own limbs and avoided turning into dust.
Lilith said, "Wow, you are alive! Damn. But again, without limbs, it's kinda useless."
As Zou regrew its limbs, the Abyssal Gate disappeared. Lilith thought, Guess the one ten-thousandth thing was true. That gate took too much of my magic.
The man laughed. "That little gate spell basically drained all your mana. You are going to die. And no matter what you do, as long as Zou is alive, he can endlessly regenerate. But without magic power, you are dead."
Lilith said, "Wow, it looks like I'm going to die? Or something? Is that what you wanted to hear? Or something like that? Well, time to end you."
