Adam got up and asked Serbas to show him the sealed circle. "What have you found out about the seal so far?" Adam asked Serbas.
"It doesn't react to anything I have done, even with Vlad's and my blood," Serbas explained. "Using human blood, I tried to make changes. However, they lack the mana to unseal it. I experimented with fusions of blood to mix human blood with other blood that has mana, yet it had little to no effect. I was only able to change certain words by erasing or adding a few strokes, which is why I was able to seal your powers for a moment."
Adam looked closely at the sealed circle. "Lyra, can you help me decipher this? Vlad, help Lyra with the translation. Connect to my mind and let me see the whole meaning of the sealed circle," Adam instructed.
Lyra and Vlad connected to Adam's mind. Every word was deciphered and translated, revealing the true meaning of the seal to Adam. Adam saw it and realized, "It was clever of them. They sealed Serbas with an impossible way for him to escape. Since Serbas is a demon, there is no way for him to escape the seal using his own power. The words they chose are common human phrases but coded to be only broken by pure mana. The world they chose has no mana, making a human unable to break the seal. It can only be unsealed by mana humans, which is why this seal would have been impossible if I never reached this world."
Adam looked at Serbas with a smile. "I am exactly the person that can break this seal. It takes a huge amount of mana, and that won't be a problem for me."
Adam walked to the middle of the sealed circle. He took out a dagger and sliced his palm. As his blood dripped onto the ground, the circle began to glow with a red light. He took out a mana crystal and duplicated himself, placing the crystals all around the circle. Adam released the Mana Void that held his vast mana power in check, letting it overflow into the circle. He put both his hands on the middle of the sealed circle.
"Lyra, analyze and reconfigure the seal. Break the seal and absorb it," Adam commanded.
Lyra analyzed the intricate sealed array as Adam began reconfiguring the structure, the mana flow dramatically increasing. Working together, Adam and Lyra deciphered and broke the seal, and the entire sealed spell was then absorbed into Adam.
"Adam, you have learned an Ancient Sealing Technique," Lyra said via neuro-link.
As the glow disappeared, the mana crystals turned black, having been completely drained of all mana. Adam's duplicate rejoined him, and he locked his massive mana leakage using the Mana Void skill.
"Serbas, you're free now," Adam said with a smile.
Serbas looked on, unable to comprehend everything that had just happened. The thousand-year sealing had ended in front of him; Adam had single-handedly removed the impossible seal in an instant.
Suddenly, Vlad spilled blood all over the floor and instantly teleported Serbas, Lyra, and Adam to the outside world, onto a rooftop. Serbas saw the outside world for the first time after a hundred years sealed. He looked at the sky and took a deep breath, smelling the outside air. Everyone stayed silent, smiling and letting Serbas feel his freedom after being locked up for so long.
