Serbas looked around, flying up into the sky. He witnessed the destruction below—the aftermath of his creatures' rage. He looked at the sunlight, remembering a time he thought he would never see it again.
The words echoed in his mind: "Kill Adam if you want to save your family." Serbas took a glance at Adam, contemplating the order.
He floated down towards the others, standing face-to-face with Adam. "I know you are here to help me. In another time, we could really be good friends. However, in this world, my family comes first," Serbas said with a hint of sadness.
"Wait, you don't have to find the solution to save your family yourself. I'm here. I can help you. Listen, you were once the Hero. You don't need to go down this path. Please let me help you," Adam pleaded with conviction.
"If you're willing to help me, then don't stop me. The only way for me to save my family is to have some human sacrifice. Don't stop me," Serbas said, and demons instantly appeared on all sides, ready to attack.
VLAD quickly exploded into a wave of blood, engulfing Serbas, Adam, and Lyra. All of them teleported to another location, away from the immediate encirclement.
Vlad tied Serbas with his blood, shouting, "Are you stupid?! I told you a way to save your family! Why are you so stubborn with your decision?!"
Serbas walked forward, melting the blood restraints away. "Once you realize there is no way to save my family without human sacrifice, you will understand why I have to do this for my family." Serbas flicked his fingers, and a tremendous energy blast sent everyone away from him.
"Adam, use the seal that was absorbed to bind him. It is the only way to stop him from advancing further," Lyra urged via neuro-link.
Adam immediately cast the Ancient Sealing Technique he had absorbed, binding Serbas to the ground with the same powerful seal that had once imprisoned the demon.
"Serbas, you need to give me time. I can help you and find a way," Adam spoke, standing in front of the bound Serbas.
Suddenly, the ground trembled as creatures everywhere began moving in hordes toward the civilization's direction. "There is no point in talking," Serbas said calmly. "I just need some humans for my family's resurrection. I already knew you would get in my way. That's why I have no choice."
Adam's clones multiplied and dispersed to stop the invasion of the civilization. "Lyra, we need to check with the Lich King to find a way to revive the family," Adam stated.
"I can conceal his presence with divine power here. It is too dangerous to bring him back there," Lyra explained. "I'll stay connected to you via neuro-link to find a way to save his family."
"Adam, I'll protect you, fending off the demons. You can focus on reviving Serbas's family," Vlad committed. With the plan set, Adam and Vlad teleported to the Lich King.
