Above the boundless Gray Fog, the magnificent palace stood silently.
Inside the palace, a deep crimson light rose, and blurred figures appeared around the mottled, ancient bronze long table.
Leyton leaned back casually and leisurely in the high-backed chair.
After separating his identity as Leyton, he found himself letting go even more.
Just as the members of the Tarot Club had come to their senses, they saw Miss Justice already standing and looking towards the top of the mottled long table, greeting with a light tone:
"Good afternoon, Mr. Fool~"
Miss Justice greeted everyone in turn, from The Fool to The World.
"What a well-born, carefree girl," Emlyn feigned profundity and evaluated Audrey in his heart, politely returning her greeting.
After mutual greetings, Emlyn tapped the table with his hand, looked at Justice Audrey, and said:
"What you need—"
Audrey pressed her right hand down slightly, making a stopping gesture, then smiled and said:
"Let's discuss it during the trade session. Now is Mr. Fool's reading time."
"Judging by Mr. Moon's tone, he already has at least one of the Psychiatrist materials I need. That's good news."
Audrey's mood grew even more cheerful, and her eyes were tinged with a smile.
Immediately, she turned to look at the figure in the Gray Fog, saying with an upward lilt in her voice:
"Respected Mr. Fool, I've obtained three more pages of Roselle diary."
Following Miss Justice's example, Magician Fors also spoke:
"Respected Mr. Fool, I also have three new pages of Roselle diary here."
The Sun Derrick, sitting next to Leyton, quickly followed suit:
"Great Mr. Fool, I've transcribed some legends about ancient gods."
"Klein has quite a harvest today," Leyton muttered to himself, glancing at Mr. Fool at the head of the table.
After Klein finished reading all the Roselle diary pages and the ancient god information submitted by The Sun, he casually made the papers disappear and leaned back against the chair:
"You may begin."
Justice Audrey looked eagerly at Emlyn opposite her and asked:
"Mr. Moon, do you have any information on Elder Tree Fruit and Mirror Dragon Blood?"
"A total of 750 pounds, and they will soon be yours."
"Of course, there's also my commission, 100 pounds."
Emlyn tilted his chin slightly and nodded.
Audrey didn't even calculate the total price; she responded joyfully:
"Deal!"
"I hope the transaction can be completed today or tomorrow."
"No problem."
With 100 pounds about to arrive, Emlyn could not refuse Miss Justice's request.
At this moment, Hanged Man Alger turned his head to glance at Mr. Vampire at the Tarot Club, estimating the other party's psychological price in his mind, then said:
"Do you still want the Sanguine Baron's inheritance? 4500 pounds, this is the best price I could get for you."
Emlyn, who had just been delighted by the impending 100 pounds, immediately looked a bit distorted.
"If it were only 1000 pounds, I would definitely want it, but…"
"Heh, you can bargain. After all, for pirates, as long as something can be sold, it's a profit. They have no cost for it, and it's what they least want to see it stuck in their hands."
Leyton, who had been quietly observing from his high-backed chair, reminded Emlyn.
"Ah?"
"It can be like this?" Emlyn was stunned for two seconds, then turned to look at Hanged Man.
He belatedly realized that the 4500-pound price had been inflated by Mr. Hanged Man.
"Humans are truly cunning creatures. I was so naive to think Mr. Hanged Man was a good person before…" Emlyn grumbled about Hanged Man's actions in his heart while beginning to ponder a suitable price.
Hanged Man Alger, beside him, frowned slightly, but his expression remained calm. "What does White Tower mean? Why is he reminding this Vampire?"
"Mr. Hanged Man is really not kind, actually adding a premium to a transaction between Tarot Club members. Hmm… this should be related to his experience and personality, a mature, rational Beyonder."
Justice Audrey, who had also just realized, subconsciously began to analyze Hanged Man Alger in her mind.
Moon Emlyn spoke with a conflicted expression:
"I, I'll consider it again."
He had just calculated his savings, and even with the 100 pounds he hadn't received yet, his savings were still less than 500 pounds. Even if Hanged Man offered 1000 pounds, he still couldn't afford it.
"4000 pounds, that's the great pirate's psychological bottom line."
Hanged Man voluntarily lowered the price a bit, though it was still significantly higher than the pirate's bottom line.
"I, I still need to consider it."
Emlyn spoke with difficulty; he suddenly felt he should find ways to quickly save money.
"No problem." Hanged Man Alger did not press him.
"Another Tarot Club member has made the sound of poverty," Klein, who was quietly watching this scene, teased happily in his heart.
"Hanged Man clearly overestimated this Sanguine homebody's savings," Leyton glanced at Emlyn, then withdrew his gaze.
Seeing that no one else was proposing a trade, Leyton turned his attention to Magician Fors, who was in front and to his side. He softly said:
"Miss Magician, I have a simple commission. I wonder if you're interested."
"What kind of commission?" Fors asked with a slight wariness.
"Help me deliver a mystical item to a place. You don't need to contact anyone; you just need to put it in the mailbox at the designated location."
Leyton chuckled as he explained his request.
"Just deliver a mystical item?"
Fors was suspicious. She felt such a simple task didn't seem like something the other party would propose. Perhaps the mystical item wasn't simple, or perhaps the place wasn't simple.
"It's that simple. I'm not in Backlund, and it's too much trouble to deliver the mystical item myself, so I wanted to ask for your help."
"What kind of reward do you need?"
Leyton explained again, then asked about the reward.
When it came to rewards, Fors pondered slightly. Just helping to deliver a mystical item wasn't too much trouble. She even felt it didn't matter whether Leyton gave a reward or not. In Backlund, finding a random postman to deliver something would cost less than a solid.
"Uh, as for the reward, could you help me record some Beyonder abilities on a mystical item?"
"They don't need to be too strong, just some different types of Beyonder abilities will do."
"Leymano's Travels?" Hearing Fors ask him to help record Beyonder abilities, he immediately thought of the mystical item in Lawrence's hand.
Lawrence had already advanced to Sequence 6 Scribe, so this mystical item was no longer useful to him. He had given this mystical item to Fors. It seemed Miss Magician had gained some trust from the Abraham Family recently; at least Lawrence chose to trust her.
"How did you— Yes."
Fors's surprised words blurted out. Then she remembered that the other party was also very familiar with Mr. Lawrence, so it wasn't strange that he knew about this mystical item. She stopped her unfinished sentence and nodded gently.
"No problem."
Leyton nodded gently. Recording some Beyonder abilities was easy; he didn't even need to do it himself. Just the Beyonder abilities of the Golden Dream's crew could fill several Leymano's Travels.
Mentioning Leymano's Travels, an idea suddenly sparked in Fors's mind. She hesitated slightly, glanced around, then cleared her throat and said:
"Everyone, I have a mystical item. It's called Leymano's Travels."
"Its Beyonder ability is: it allows the holder to record a certain Beyonder ability upon witnessing it, and fix it on one of the notebook's pages for long-term preservation, to be used at any time needed."
"However, after each use, the corresponding page becomes blank again and needs to be re-recorded."
"Beyonder abilities higher than Sequence 6 cannot be guaranteed to be recorded; there's a chance of failure. The higher the sequence, the greater the chance of failure, and the effect is only half of the original."
"It can record abilities up to the demigod level at most, but it can only record three types at most, and the chance of recording failure is very high."
"Very strong, but the ability overlaps somewhat with Creeping Hunger. I can also use Beyonder abilities from other pathways with that glove, and there's no reduction in strength."
Klein sighed slightly in his heart and compared it to Creeping Hunger.
"How much?" Justice Audrey, who had the most money in the Tarot Club, directly asked for the price.
Hanged Man Alger and Moon Emlyn were also eager, but they were well aware of their financial situation and simply couldn't compete with Miss Justice.
"No, I don't intend to sell this mystical item."
Fors quickly waved her hand to explain.
"Not selling? Then why explain so much to us?" A hint of doubt flashed through Audrey's mind. Knowing Fors quite well, she was certain that the other party wouldn't show off a mystical item in front of everyone. Privately, it might be possible.
"What I mean is, I can rent it out when you need it."
"Below the demigod level, this mystical item's effect is definitely powerful; it can greatly enhance your combat strength."
"And with Mr. Fool here, I don't have to worry about losing it."
