Eira's POV
The morning felt better than ever when I woke up, as if some heavy weight had been lifted off my chest. As I woke up late, I was alone in the bed, with Kael nowhere in sight.
I turned to face his side and let my hand caress the place Kael slept on, as if I could feel my fated mate still next to me. His confession from the night before, and how it ended, felt fulfilling.
When I said I loved him, I meant each word of it. I truly loved him and felt fortunate to have him as my mate.
Every touch of his, every glance he offered, told me how much I meant to him. Maybe this was the best night we had as mates, where no doubts were left in our minds, just love for each other.
Cheered, I stepped out of the bed and went to freshen up. I wanted to get ready nicely, to look better. I was going to wear Kael's favorite color, a deep shade of blue.
