Chapter 427 - Chapter 427: Coordinate World – Ymir the Titan

Chapter 427: Coordinate World – Ymir the Titan

Everything had settled.

Eren slowly awoke, his entire body wracked with pain, feeling as though he had just awoken from a long dream.

In the dream, he had transformed into a black Titan and battled against Uncle Jiraiya.

Their fight spanned from Shiganshina District to the land beyond the walls.

Ninjutsu, Sage Arts.

Flames and toads. Every technique had been used. Jiraiya, having exhausted his body, finally defeated the black Titan.

"You're awake?"

Jiraiya reached out a large hand and pulled Eren up.

Eren asked blankly, "Am I still alive? Was it you who saved me, Uncle Jiraiya?"

"I failed."

Jiraiya's voice was heavy.

He had underestimated the Titan World's will to resist.

In its final moment, just before the black Titan was slain, it had used the power of the Coordinate to gather all Titan power and self-destruct.

The explosion also destroyed the three giant walls.

The world was now on the brink of annihilation.

Countless civilians and nobles looked to the sky in despair.

The sun seemed shrouded in a mist, losing its warmth and color.

The sky cracked like fractured glass, and glowing shards rained down, like a world about to shatter.

Far in the distance, the earth was dissolving like foam, crumbling bit by bit.

The entire Titan World—

without its core energy and with its world keystone destroyed—

was beginning to collapse.

The mission had failed.

Jiraiya frowned. He didn't know how to face the boy before him.

None of this had anything to do with him.

He was a shinobi from Konoha, a player in the Reincarnation Game. This was just another official mission.

Even if it failed, it simply meant he wasn't strong enough.

The fact that he wanted to save the world should have been enough to earn the gratitude of these civilians.

And yet—

he felt bitter.

Like the time he learned Orochimaru had betrayed them through human experimentation.

Like the time he found out Tsunade had left the village due to her blood trauma.

Like the moment he lost his most gifted student, Minato.

Fate was truly unpredictable.

Even as a player in the Reincarnation Game,

even as someone who had shouted he would help Eren break his fate—

he had still let everyone down.

It shouldn't have ended this way...

At this moment,

Jiraiya truly understood what the Game Merchant had once said:

That the ultimate goal of Reincarnation Game players is to save worlds corrupted by pollution.

"Is the world going to be destroyed?"

Eren's pupils trembled.

Images of the apocalypse returned to his mind from when he was the black Titan.

So it was all futile.

Even a powerful outsider like Jiraiya had failed—

how could he ever hope to save the world?

"Armin, don't fall…"

Mikasa, with her short black hair, supported Armin, walking over the crumbling earth, searching for Eren's shadow.

Countless civilians wandered like scattered sheep,

seeking a corner of the world where they might still survive.

Destruction was absolute.

No life would escape. This was the price of corruption.

Perhaps a few gifted beings might be recruited by the Corrupted World and turned into monsters.

But most would simply perish with the world.

"Captain Levi, stop… The world's ending!"

Erwin, commander of the Survey Corps, sat on the ground in despair.

Behind him—

what had once been the brave and unyielding Survey Corps had completely scattered.

They had lost the courage to face Titans.

Some even took this as their last chance to indulge in pleasure and commit heinous acts.

All were swiftly executed by Levi—

cold-faced, low in stature, but razor-sharp with his blade.

"Is humanity really doomed to die?"

Levi's tone was emotionless.

Though he stood alone, he hadn't stopped.

"Are we destined to be trapped behind these walls forever?

But look at us now. Haven't we already stepped beyond the walls?"

Though a clean freak, he was now drenched in blood—having slain many Titans.

He didn't dream of saving the world.

But he felt he couldn't just stop.

If he did nothing, he would regret it.

Scene after scene of apocalypse burned into Jiraiya's eyes.

After a long silence, he asked,

"Eren… Are you willing to sacrifice yourself to save this world?"

Eren nodded without hesitation. "I am."

Jiraiya made a hand sign like a blade and slashed open Eren's chest.

Blood poured out—

but it didn't fall to the ground.

Instead, it hovered in the air, gradually forming the shape of a Titan.

Eren turned pale.

Jiraiya's hair also began to whiten.

Not the lively silver from before—

but the white of an aged man near death.

Seer—

a rare and often neglected class.

Peering into fate came at a steep cost.

One wrong step and it consumed your life.

"Head east."

Jiraiya summoned a flame toad beneath their feet.

They raced eastward at high speed.

By midday, they had reached the edge of the island.

Gazing out at the endless sea,

Jiraiya leapt in without hesitation.

His restored Tier 2 strength let him swim like a torpedo.

ROAR!

A deformed black Titan burst from the ocean depths.

Covered in thick fur—

with the stamina of the Cart Titan,

the bite of the Jaw Titan,

and the arm-weapons of the War Hammer Titan.

"So you were hiding here…"

Jiraiya erupted from the sea, forming hand signs and spewing misty flames.

Fire Style: Toad Oil Flame Bullet!

A sea of fire engulfed the abomination,

its fur burning, weapons melting.

The creature screeched in rage,

its burning body lunging for Jiraiya mid-air.

Sage Art: Flame Rasengan!

A spiraling flame tornado rose from the sea to the sky,

converging into a blazing sun-like Rasengan.

With a single hit,

the corrupted black Titan was reduced to ash.

To Eren's stunned eyes, Jiraiya calmly stepped ashore—

as if it were nothing.

With Tier 2 power restored,

Jiraiya was now invincible in the Titan World.

Even Titans specially engineered by the corrupted Will of the World were no match.

His Seer intuition had told him—

if the world could be saved, the key lay in these black Titans.

[Corrupted Titan slain. You have acquired a key to the Coordinate World. Enter now?]

"Yes!"

A dimensional portal appeared—

but it was shrinking fast. Two minutes until it vanished.

Jiraiya stepped in.

He emerged into a vast land.

At its center stood a massive tree glowing with the light of a sea of stars.

Above was the boundless cosmos.

"This is… the origin of the Titan World?"

He turned—and saw a massive Titan figure infused with corruption.

It was the source.

The first Titan—Ymir.

She was once a slave,

a wife to a king,

and the flesh that birthed the Nine Titans.

She was the core of this world.

"Another brutal battle…"

Jiraiya frowned.

Ymir, now merged with pollution, had broken free of the world's restraints and reached Lv. 40 Gold-tier.

He had come to this core world out of compassion—

but it might cost him his life.

He didn't regret it.

He had chosen the path of salvation, and he would walk it to the end.

Suddenly—

Ymir shrank, becoming a girl-like figure. Her body flickered with afterimages.

"An unstable form?"

Jiraiya was confused.

Before he could act,

Ymir in girl-form walked toward him.

She opened her hands.

"I was waiting for Eren. But I didn't expect someone else to arrive."

Behind her—Eren had also entered the Coordinate World.

The chaos of memory buzzed in his mind.

"I leave this world… to you, Eren."

After handing over the item,

Ymir turned to dust.

She had always been a slave—

first to men, then to fate.

But in the end, she refused to be a slave to corruption.

She wanted freedom.

That had always been the true current of the Titan World's river of fate.

Just like Eren.
