The colossal blue-armored Susanoo warrior raised its twin swords and charged headfirst into the army of [Expellers], venting its fury.

The Expellers were perfect soldiers—neither afraid nor retreating.

The chest opened, glowing with a brilliant blue light.
Madara reached in and crushed the glowing bubble, revealing a metallic orb the size of a palm.
"This is it?"
He looked at it oddly. It was just a plain-looking iron sphere.
Talk about bad luck.
Not even as useful as a healing potion.
But to his surprise, both Tanjiro and Nawaki's eyes lit up as they stared at the sphere.
"A pearl socket! Uncle Madara, you're super lucky!"
Pearl sockets could be embedded into gear or skills to produce various special effects.
They were extremely rare.
Hundreds of chests might not yield a single one. The ones sold by the Merchant Alliance were often low-quality and still ludicrously expensive.
Madara didn't let their excitement affect him. He didn't know what the item did and said flatly, "Doesn't look like much."
At least Tanjiro's sword could actually cut things.

Nawaki retracted his jealous gaze and pointed to a nearby group of seven or eight Expellers. "Try charging that group now."

Madara looked confused. Moments ago, Nawaki had lectured him for doing exactly that. Now he was encouraging it?
A new layer of chakra formed—a robust suit of battle armor.

Madara immediately sensed something odd about his Susanoo.
The full-body giant had shrunk slightly—almost like the chakra had been compressed.

Madara was shocked to find that what used to crack his Susanoo in one hit now took three swings just to leave hairline fractures.
