"Hmph!" The being inside Goku's body sneered, black flames rising around him like a dark aura.
"I haven't had a good fight since taking this Saiyan's body. Try not to die too fast, I'd like some fun."
He moved with a smooth, snake-like motion, like a dragon ready to strike.
"There'll be plenty of fun," Karnel replied, his voice calm but threatening. "I just don't think you can handle it."
Karnel shifted mid-air as a faint red glow lit up his body. His fist shot forward with enough power to crack planets.
The impact of their energy shook the sky. The sun faded behind clouds, and the air went heavy with pressure.
Their fists, one in black flame, the other in red, met with a boom. Goku's stolen body held strong, going blow for blow with Karnel. Black energy surged through the imposter's limbs as he pushed forward hard.
Karnel, nearly limitless in power, met the attack head-on. Red energy blazed around him. He slid back half a step, but quickly stopped himself with a deep breath, focusing inward.
Power surged through his fist, built up layer by layer, then burst outward, blasting Black hundreds of meters away.
"This Saiyan body is strong..." Zamasu, the Supreme Kai inside Goku, steadied himself mid-air, arm numb from the hit. His face darkened.
"I am Zamasu, a god who claimed Goku's body. Yet I can't overpower him?"
Karnel raised a hand in a mocking wave. "This is your idea of fun?"
"Hahaha!" Zamasu laughed, rubbing his arms with a touch of caution. "Your strength is impressive, even stronger than Goku himself."
"You don't need to tell me what I already know," Karnel shot back. "Since you're in Kakarot's body, tell me, can you turn Super Saiyan?"
Karnel was curious now. Could a different soul draw out Goku's full power?
Zamasu's face twisted in disgust. "Super Saiyan depends on having enough power. I won't make the same mistake twice."
"You talk like I was holding back," Karnel said, brushing him off. "The weak always make excuses."
They charged each other without another word.
High above the ruined Earth, two streaks of light clashed again and again. They fought faster than the eye could follow, every strike strong enough to destroy the planet.
Below, Gohan, Trunks, and the others watched in shock. The pressure alone was crushing. Even Master Roshi struggled to breathe.
"Gohan, is this Karnel's real power?" Trunks gasped, eyes wide as he followed the flashes of red and black. "I feel like I could die just watching this!"
Gohan's hair stood on end. Sweat rolled down his face and froze in midair.
"So strong!" Gohan whispered. He couldn't move, stunned by the clash above. "That man in black... he's terrifying."
Master Roshi stared silently, unable to make sense of the battle.
After what felt like forever, Karnel's breathing was calm. His body still overflowed with power.
Zamasu looked okay on the surface, but he was clearly falling behind. Karnel's endless energy gave him the edge. If this kept up, Zamasu would lose.
"His strength hasn't dropped at all," Zamasu muttered. "Is he some kind of monster? I can't keep going like this..."
He finally understood, Karnel's power wasn't running out. Not even close.
"Saiyan, your power truly surprises me!" Zamasu stood tall, trying to hide his exhaustion.
"But now I'll show you a form beyond even Super Saiyan. Watch closely, this is power of a god!"
A blast of energy exploded from him. His hair turned bright pink, standing tall, wrapped in rose-colored flame.
"This is Super Saiyan Rosé!" he declared, his confidence back. "With this power, I can end you in one strike!"
He punched the air, and space itself cracked open, a clean tear spreading around his fist.
Karnel raised an eyebrow. He hadn't expected this. A slow clap followed.
"Impressive," he said flatly. "For a fake god, reaching this level is something."
Then his tone dropped. Cold. Sharp.
"Now watch closely," Karnel said, his voice low.
"Don't get cocky just because you're a half-finished imitation of a god."
