Chapter 156 - Prison Break

Falling into the hands of this demon, Zangya felt utterly misfortunate. She had just escaped from one prison only to be caught and lose her freedom again, at this point, staying sealed might have been better.

Cursing inwardly, Zangya violently wrenched her arm free from Karnel's grip and moved to the side, fuming silently.

Karnel shook his head thoughtfully. This one is exactly like a wild cat, completely untamed and not docile at all.

"But... it might be interesting to think of this as a development game," Karnel mused, regarding Zangya with an enigmatic smile.

Zangya shivered uncontrollably, crossing her arms protectively over her chest as she looked around warily, trying to identify the source of the sudden chill. Her eyes finally settled suspiciously on Karnel.

Master Roshi pondered for a moment before lifting his head with a serious expression. "It sounds like the villains sealed by King Kai ten thousand years ago will soon break through their imprisonment."

Zangya's face contorted with conflicted emotions. Without this man's interference, she could have easily rescued her three companions herself. But now, unable even to help herself, she had no idea when, or if, she'd be able to free them.

"Haha! Let them stay sealed until they die of old age," Karnel said cheerfully to Master Roshi, then noticed Zangya's obvious dissatisfaction. "Why do you look so unconvinced? Are they really that important to you?"

"Of course I'm not convinced, they're my companions!" Zangya threw her hands up and shouted. "If you hadn't stopped me, I would have already gone to the places where they were sealed!"

Karnel waved his hand dismissively. "It seems you really do care about them. But that's not good for you. Perhaps I should release them just to kill them immediately, then you won't have to waste time thinking about trying to save them."

"Don't, Karnel!" Master Roshi hurriedly interjected. "As you said yourself, the Galaxy Soldiers are cosmic criminals who spread chaos throughout the universe. If you release them without killing them, wouldn't the entire universe suffer?"

"Hmph! If you're afraid, then forget it," Zangya sneered from the sideline, looking at Karnel with obvious disdain. "After all, our leader Bojack possesses incredibly twisted strength. Although I don't know what strange method you used to resurrect me, I doubt you'd be his opponent."

Hehe, trying to use reverse psychology on me? How useless.

Since you're so full of expectations for Bojack, let me teach you a harsh lesson and completely shatter the hope in your heart!

Cold light flashed in Karnel's dark eyes as he addressed Master Roshi. "Don't worry. No one has ever managed to escape from me yet."

Seeing that Karnel had made up his mind to locate and eliminate the three Galaxy Warriors, Master Roshi sighed and said nothing more. He walked slowly over to a beach chair, pulled out a magazine, and began reading with apparent amusement.

"Fine! Since you're so confident, let's go!" Karnel moved toward Zangya. "I want to see just how impressive this 'trash team' that supposedly dominated the universe ten thousand years ago really is."

Success! Although she didn't know the true extent of his strength, his brain clearly wasn't the sharpest.

Zangya was overjoyed internally, though she maintained a perfectly calm exterior, showing no emotional turbulence whatsoever.

Despite Zangya's best efforts to appear indifferent, Karnel still caught a glimmer of joy in her eyes. He shook his head and said, "Women really are born actresses. Too bad you're still too inexperienced. Now quickly tell me where the other three are sealed."

Karnel didn't bother with small talk and directly demanded the seal locations.

"On a planet in a small galaxy surrounded by seven stars in the Eastern Milky Way, " Zangya began speaking slowly.

With a wave of his hand, Karnel stopped Zangya mid-sentence. He instantly expanded his senses across the endless universe, detecting countless aura and soul fluctuations, quickly pinpointing the three Galaxy Warriors among the cosmic spiritual signatures.

"Found them. Now, where should we go first... I think I'll clean up the two smaller fry first. It'll be more interesting to save Bojack for last."

Karnel made his decision privately, then grabbed Zangya's arm. In an instant, they departed Earth and traveled to the location where Bido, one of the Eastern Galaxy Warriors, was sealed.

What incredible ability, he can travel anywhere in the universe instantaneously... Zangya's eyes filled with envy as she watched Karnel.

"Don't even think about this technique. I won't teach it to you," Karnel laughed. "Maybe in the future, if you perform exceptionally well, I might consider teaching you the skill of instant universal travel when I'm in a particularly good mood."

As for what constituted "performing exceptionally well", well, that was entirely up to Karnel's interpretation.

"Tch! I don't care about it anyway," Zangya's envious expression vanished instantly as she spoke with feigned disdain, then turned to survey the planet with barely contained joy.

This barren, sandy wasteland of a death planet was indeed where Bido, one of the Galaxy Warriors, had been sealed!

Karnel walked slowly toward a section of ground inscribed with black, ominous patterns and studied it carefully.

"This kind of seal is... quite interesting," he murmured, squatting down to run his hand along the edge of the black pattern. "It can weaken a person's strength to almost nothing and imprison them in the planet's core. As long as the seal isn't destroyed or the caster doesn't die, those who are sealed can only remain trapped forever until they die of old age."

Of course, this type of seal could only affect mortal beings below the divine realm. Gods who had entered the realm of true divinity weren't something such seals could contain.

Karnel's hand gently brushed across the black pattern, and a small section of the seal's edge pattern was directly erased by his touch.

"It's Bido who's sealed here," Zangya stood nearby without making a sound, though she was secretly strategizing. "Once he breaks free, the two of us might be able to work together to defeat this mysterious demon..."
