"How can you, lowly life, overwhelm me!" Black roared, using all his remaining strength to release the surging energy in his body. A black stream hundreds of meters wide, nearly solid in its density, poured down from above. A circle of space cracks vibrated around the energy wave, reality itself warping under the immense pressure as it surged wildly toward the intersection of their energy battle.
"Hmph! You're going to break so soon?" Karnel snorted coldly, and the energy wave in his hands suddenly accelerated, blasting back with renewed fury.
The crimson wave grew bigger and bigger, but what followed was not an explosion, it was annihilation.
The two violent energies had been confronting each other for so long they had reached a perfect balance point. Now two more powerful surges suddenly poured in, and that delicate equilibrium was instantly shattered. The black and red energy waves seemed to undergo some kind of chemical transformation, continuously disappearing where they met in the middle, without emitting a single particle of light.
The process was eerily fast. Both energy waves flowed silently like water into a growing black spot at their intersection.
"It seems something incredible is happening during our collision," Karnel observed, watching the small black dot in the center gradually expand as it absorbed both their energies.
The small black dot quickly grew to the size of a basketball, then stabilized at roughly two meters in diameter. The black smoke and crimson fire spirits swirling through the sky were drawn into a spiraling vortex of red and black, rushing inexorably into the two-meter-wide black hole.
A wondrous scene unfolded in the heavens as colorful light twisted wildly, contorting into a luminous ball before pouring into the black hole that seemed to lead to some unknown realm.
"Haha! Lowly ant, you should disappear along with this black hole you've created," Black suddenly materialized behind Karnel, his voice dripping with malicious satisfaction.
"Oh? Really?" Karnel's voice remained calm, almost amused. "You sneak up behind me like a common thief, and you think I don't know?"
Without turning around, Karnel grabbed Black's hand that was reaching for his waist, holding it with an iron grip that made movement impossible. He bent his body ninety degrees and shot his foot upward, delivering a devastating kick to Black's groin, then spun one hundred eighty degrees to drive his other foot into Black's chest.
Black's chest took the full force of that divine-powered kick. He nearly vomited bile as his eyeballs bulged from their sockets. His body rocketed backward half a meter but was yanked back instantly, his wrist still trapped in Karnel's unbreakable hold.
Karnel sneered, extending his free hand into a blade-like palm. Beneath that palm, a sharp and awe-inspiring spiritual edge formed, cutting toward the silver-adorned wrist he had captured.
Slice.
The hand bearing an extraordinary ring was severed in an instant. Karnel quickly caught the severed appendage, then delivered another crushing punch to Black's chest, launching him a full thousand meters away.
"So this is the ring that can open dimensional rifts..." Karnel had no time to concern himself with Black's distant figure. He extracted an ordinary-looking ring with an ancient aura from the severed palm, holding it up to examine it with burning interest.
"AHHH! How dare you, lowly creature? My hand..." Black covered his bleeding stump with his remaining hand, crimson liquid gushing out like a broken dam. He roared like a madman, his head consumed with rage, murderous intent condensing in his eyes into a bloody, cold light.
Karnel looked at Black, who was radiating terrifying killing intent, and remained completely unmoved. He calmly placed the silver ring into his dimensional storage.
"Lowly?" Karnel's voice carried a note of dark amusement. "The body you're using now seems to be from a 'lowly' mortal life form, doesn't it? You call me lowly, but I think you're far more disgusting in your current state. Look at your arrogant posture, I truly pity any creatures unfortunate enough to exist in a universe you manage."
Black's laughter turned maniacal. "What do you know, you insignificant creature? For the future of the universe, only by eliminating all those parasites who know nothing but taking without contributing can the world achieve true peace! The universe I managed finally knew perfect harmony! Why don't you understand me? WHY?! It's not my fault, it's those worthless lives cluttering up the cosmos that are wrong!"
Karnel fell silent for a long moment. This deranged deity who thought himself superior while looking down on all universal life was beyond redemption. He had actually eliminated entire universes under his management, how many lives was that? Trillions upon trillions?
Although Karnel himself had taken many lives, they had all been those who threatened innocent people or stood in the way of justice. He would never commit such an atrocity as massacring all life in a universe.
"You've lost your way completely," Karnel said, his voice growing ice-cold. "There's no salvation for you. Let me put you out of your misery."
If this possessed false god wasn't eliminated quickly, the consequences would be catastrophic beyond imagination.
Despite his injury, Black was still a deity at his core. He forced himself to calm down, clutching his severed wrist while eyeing Karnel with a calculating expression, clearly planning something desperate.
Damn it... my hand... Black glanced down at his bleeding stump, cursing internally. He couldn't defeat this Saiyan even when he had both hands intact. Now, with one hand gone, his fighting power had dropped precipitously, he could manage maybe seventy percent of his full strength at best. He was no match for this seemingly tireless warrior. He'd be defeated and destroyed within just a few exchanges.
Black had no intention of continuing this doomed battle. On the surface he maintained his composure, but his eyes darted around, searching desperately for any chance of escape.
No... my great mission of purging the universe of its parasites isn't complete! I can't die here! That... that black hole leading to the unknown realm...
After scanning his surroundings and finding no viable escape route, the increasingly desperate Black suddenly had an inspiration. His gaze shot upward to the two-meter-wide black hole in the sky, which was slowly contracting due to lack of energy to sustain it.
Karnel observed Black's shifty behavior after losing his hand and spoke with calm certainty: "No need to look around. No matter where in this universe you try to run, I'll find you. Besides, you can't escape from me now... unless you're planning to flee into that black hole above us."
"Haha! That's exactly right, I am going inside!" Black's voice cracked with desperate determination. "If I stay here, I'll die for certain. But if I enter the unknown, I might actually survive! Saiyan, when I recover from my injuries, I'll definitely track down whatever timeline you're from and slaughter every human connected to you!"
With those final venomous words, Black's figure shot toward the black hole's entrance like a bullet. He paused at its threshold, turned back to flash a savage grin, then leaped forward and vanished into the swirling darkness of the interdimensional portal.
