Fugaku slowly rose from his seat, keeping his eyes locked onto Chinya.
His killing intent gradually intensified. Itachi also adopted a stance ready for immediate combat.
Fugaku then told Itachi, "Itachi, just observe."
Itachi Uchiha frowned. "But—"
Fugaku Uchiha said in a deep tone, "No buts. Remember your current role—you are representing the upper echelon of Konoha and have been ordered to assassinate those within the Uchiha clan who are preparing to stage a coup. And I am the one most deserving of death.
You may ally yourself with him, but you must never ally yourself with me. This battle will be my final one as head of the Uchiha clan!"
Leaning against the wall, Chinya stood upright, his right hand already on the hilt of his ninja sword. He sneered, "Brave, huh? I always figured you were more of a coward."

However, the physical shuriken themselves remained intact, continuing their assault toward Chinya.
