For the past few weeks I have been letting my fearow get flying essence and flying gem. I know fearow also needs normal essence but its not like I can feed two different types at the same time right. I could see fearow was half way there to rise to next potential. I will need to let fearow body adjust for a few days before I can feed the normal essence.
Some may think aerodactyl would have been a better candidate but its just that having more than one rock pokemon means that wasting rock essence is not an option. Plus, though with lower potential fearow battle instinct is higher than most pokemon. Honestly it would be a waste of potential to not send on him.
Plus I do have a soft sopt for fearrow. In a generation where pidgeot where highly glorified Fearow had less chances to shine I felt kinda bad for fearow really. Plus my fearow in cannon defeated ash pidgeoto and only got defeated when it evolved. That too considering the fact that ash pidgeot was a trained pokemon and fearow a wild one.
No matter the level of trainer, a trained pokemon is a trained pokemon. End of the talk.

So I finally was challenging my secong gym. God I am even slower than Ash with all his protagonist knack for trouble aura.
Anyway I entered the second gym for challenge. Suprisingly Danny was right there at the entrance. Well not that surprising considering how Cissy was calling people left and right about battling the champion even before I left.
But...
How did he...
"I saw your aerodactyl." Danny said with a smile. Huh. Was I that obvious.
"Umm so, can we..." I began to ask but he inturupted me with a smile saying "Have a battle. It would be an honor."
Hmm. Good. I may look like an extrovert but if not necessary or not profiting me I am usually really shy to talk to new people. I do not mind giving a report about pokemon evolution in front of thousands of professors or batteling in a big stage.
But yeah. Can feel shy when required to talk to new people. Does it happen to other people or just me?
Anyway....
Third pov-
Refree :It will be a 2 on 2 pokemon battle between gym leader Danny and chalenger Regina. As requested per challenger both will release there pokemon at the same time and instead of gym battle format, this battle will be in league battle format.
"Let the Battle… BEGIN!"
Danny struck first, voice sharp and controlled.
Danny:
"Electrode—Swift!"
Golden stars burst from Electrode, curving unpredictably through the air.
Regina didn't hesitate.
Regina:
"Nidoqueen, step in—Poison Jab."
Nidoqueen charged forward instead of retreating. The stars struck her armor, flaring harmlessly as she powered through them, driving a venom-coated strike straight into Electrode's side.
Electrode was knocked backward, spinning violently before stabilizing mid-air.
Danny's eyes narrowed.
Electric attacks won't work on Nidoqueen as it is ground type. This wasn't going to be easy.
Danny:
"Electrode, Rollout—keep moving!"
Electrode dropped to the floor, spinning faster and faster as it bounced around the arena, building momentum.
Regina watched calmly, already calculating.
Regina:
"Earth Power. Predict the angle."
Nidoqueen slammed her foot into the ground. The arena floor rippled, stone erupting in a precise line.
Electrode barely avoided the first surge, but the second wave caught it mid-bounce, launching it upward with a violent shockwave.
Electrode hit the wall and dropped, its surface scuffed and dented.
Danny clenched his fists.
Danny:
"Electrode—Screech-Giga Impact!"
A piercing cry echoed through the gym, the sound sharp enough to rattle bones. Nidoqueen grimaced as her defenses were lowered. Electrode took the chance and hit Nidoqueen hard.
For the first time, Regina spoke firmly.
Regina:
"Nidoqueen—Superpower."
Nidoqueen surged forward with overwhelming force, slamming both arms into Electrode. The impact thundered through the arena, cracking the stone floor beneath them.
Electrode flew across the field, crashing hard.
It struggled to rise, sparks flickering erratically across its surface.
Danny:
"Electrode—Double edge!"
Electrode glowed faintly, preparing to reflect special damage.
Regina shook her head slightly.
Regina:
"Nidoqueen—Earthquake."
Nidoqueen roared and stomped down.
The entire gym shook violently. Pillars rattled. Lights flickered.
Electrode bounced helplessly as the ground fractured beneath it, unable to counter the raw physical force.
With a final jolt, Electrode collapsed, rolling to a stop, completely drained.
Danny:
"Round two… let's go. Nidoqueen, I'm counting on you."

The ball burst open in a flash of light. Nidoqueen emerged with a heavy stomp, letting out a deep, defiant roar. Her presence alone commanded the battlefield.
Across from her, Regina remained composed.
She turned slightly and flicked her wrist.
Regina:
"Ninetales. Your turn."

Golden light spilled out as Ninetales appeared, nine elegant tails flowing like living flames. Heat shimmered around her body, eyes calm and calculating.
The referee raised the flag again.
"Round two—BEGIN!"
Danny wasted no time.
Danny:
"Nidoqueen—Poison Jab!"
Nidoqueen charged, arm coated in violet venom, aiming straight for Ninetales.
Regina's voice was smooth and precise.
Regina:
"Will-O-Wisp."
Ninetales spun gracefully, releasing ghostly blue flames that wrapped around Nidoqueen's arm mid-charge.
The Poison Jab landed—but its power was dulled.
Nidoqueen snarled as the burn took hold.
Danny clicked his tongue.
Already on the back foot.
PRESSURE BUILDS
Danny:
"Push through it! Earth Power!"
The ground beneath Ninetales erupted in jagged spikes of stone and dirt.
Regina:
"Jump—then Flamethrower from above."
Ninetales leapt effortlessly, twisting mid-air as a torrent of fire rained down. The flames struck Nidoqueen head-on, forcing her to brace.
The burn worsened.
Her movements slowed.
Still, she stood firm.
Danny:
"Don't stop! Ice Beam—freeze the field!"
A beam of icy energy shot forward, coating the arena floor in slick frost and forcing Ninetales to slide back on landing.
Danny pressed the advantage.
Danny:
"Now—Body Slam!"
Nidoqueen lunged, slamming her massive frame forward.
Regina:
"Dig—NOW."
Ninetales vanished into the ground at the last second.
Nidoqueen slammed into empty stone, cracking the arena floor.
Before Danny could react—
Regina:
"Emerge behind her. Extrasensory."
Ninetales burst up behind Nidoqueen, psychic energy exploding outward. The invisible force slammed into Nidoqueen's back, sending her stumbling forward.
Nidoqueen struggled to turn, breathing heavy, burn damage clearly stacking.
Danny clenched his fists.
Danny:
"One last push—Superpower!"
Nidoqueen roared and charged, strength flaring—
But Regina was already ahead.
Regina:
"Calm Mind… then finish it. Fire Blast."
Ninetales' aura sharpened, focus absolute. A massive fireball formed and launched forward, engulfing Nidoqueen completely.
The flames cleared.
Nidoqueen dropped to one knee… then collapsed.
The referee stepped forward.
"Nidoqueen is unable to battle! Victory goes to Chalenger Regina!"
