Lira's heart raced.
This one was no ordinary creature. It radiated awareness.
When it spoke, its voice filled both air and mind, gentle but commanding — an echo that touched her thoughts directly.
"Traveler out of time… You stand where none from your era should."
Lira swallowed, bowing her head slightly.
"I mean no harm. I seek the Moonvine — to bring balance to those who lost its gift."
The griffin's golden eyes narrowed slightly.
"Moonvine does not yield easily. It feeds on pure harmony, on those who walk with steady hearts. Many have sought it, few have been found worthy."
"Then test me," Lira said quietly.
A soft wind stirred through the meadow. The griffin tilted its head, studying her.
"You are brave — or foolish. Both paths lead far, yet only one returns."
It stepped closer, towering above her, its gaze steady and unthreatening.
