The morning sun poured gently into the compound, casting a warm hue over Kakashi's sprawling mansion. But beneath it, far from the surface, the air was chilled with chakra-infused machinery and sterile ambition.
Kakashi, clad in a black lab coat with his hair let loose, descended into the lowest levels of his laboratory alongside Tobirama Senju and the Orochimaru clone.
The walls here were lined with transparent stasis pods, cooling units, scroll-sealed tubes, and columns of data-coded storage.
"Tell me again why we're doing this," Tobirama asked, his white robes whispering behind him as he walked.
"Madara's power was too overwhelming for most to counter alone. With the war approaching, we need solutions that provide strength without risk."Kakashi's voice was calm but firm.
"And what better solution than Madara himself, replicated, restrained, and repurposed?"The Orochimaru clone added with a sly grin.
"A blasphemous idea."Tobirama clicked his tongue.
But he didn't stop walking.
…
The trio arrived at the heart of the lab, a sealed chamber that looked more like a medical theater fused with a summoning temple.
Chakra circuits etched into the floor pulsed with bluish light, anchored around a reinforced vat of genetic medium. Inside floated fragments of Madara's extracted DNA, perfectly preserved and stabilized via Kakashi's Genesis Seal.
"Rather than one uncontrollable threat," Kakashi said, turning to a large console, "we'll make several tools. They'll be powerful, yes. But not sentient. Just weapons, biological puppets."
"And how do you control such tools?"Tobirama raised an eyebrow.
Kakashi lifted his left palm, revealing a small embedded seal, a micro-variant created by his Formula Reconstruction Technique.
"Through this. I've created a chakra relay network that links my chakra signature directly into the clone matrix. I am the highest authority controller. The Orochimaru clone holds second-tier access. It's like advanced puppet mastery, but at a cellular level."
Tobirama stepped closer, examining the seal with fascination.
"This is… refined," he admitted. "Like a living puppeteer's web. So if one goes rogue…"
"I sever the link," Kakashi said. "Instant termination or paralyzation."
"And their chakra flow?" the clone asked eagerly, hunched over a workbench where strands of chakra-sensitive nerve fiber pulsed. "If they exceed safe output?"
"I embedded chakra constraints into the skeleton and tenketsu pathways," Kakashi said. "My Genesis Seal also stabilizes their genome. No mutations. No degeneration. The constraints adjust dynamically with chakra fluctuations."
"Genius…"The Orochimaru clone hissed in excitement.
Tobirama looked at both of them, his pale red eyes thoughtful. "But don't give them too much autonomy."
"No," Kakashi agreed. "Limited cognition. Pre-programmed combat and behavior patterns. Strategic thinking is left to us."
The room quieted as they began the day's work.
…
The first task was to culture the core cells. Kakashi opened the primary vat containing Madara's muscle and nervous tissue.
Chakra-sensitive surgical tools moved on their own as his remote seals guided them. Tobirama, despite his earlier words, joined, eager to dissect Madara as he injected stabilizing agents while decoding the neural data from the clone memory clusters.
By the end of the first day, the foundational cellular architecture was ready.
Over the next few days, the trio worked in relentless synchronization.
They divided the Madara DNA into three experimental vats, each tailored for a different purpose.
"This one will focus on Mokuton," Kakashi said, inspecting the first pod where a body was slowly growing, like a tree given flesh.
"Stabilizing my eldest brother's genes within Madara's physiology… ironic."Tobirama adjusted the chakra coils.
"It suits battlefield control," Kakashi said. "Vines, roots, defense, suppression. UM01 will serve as a mid-range controller. I've set him to prioritize restraint and barrier techniques."
Orochimaru's clone tapped a data scroll. "Kage-level chakra output stabilized. Neural feedback within acceptable thresholds. He's… beautiful."
Indeed, when the clone emerged on the sixth day, he stood silently in a containment field, dark hair down to his shoulders, crimson eyes empty of will, and chakra pulsing beneath the surface like a dormant beast.
Kakashi named him: UM01- The Wood Sentinel.
The second clone's development focused on elemental combination. Kakashi introduced Hyōton potential through stabilized infusion scrolls derived from Yuki clan samples and Madara's elemental base.
"The Ice Release in this clone should give him high mobility and field control," Kakashi explained.
"Long-range suppression," Tobirama added. "And terrain alteration. Excellent for snowfield or cold region operations."
By day eight, UM02– The Ice Veil, had grown, his hair paler than the others, his skin slightly blue from internal cryo-circulation. Ice trailed his steps in the containment field.
Elite jonin level. Focused. Silent.
Another success.
The final clone used infused data from the Hidden Cloud's Kekkai Genkai samples acquired from past conflicts. Combining water and lightning styles, they synthesized a functional Storm Release matrix.
This one, more aggressive.
Kakashi gave him a narrowed field-of-vision senses and reflex enhancements.
UM03– The Storm Blade, crackled with plasma and ambient mist.
On the final day of the week, the team stood before all three stabilized clones in the training chamber.
Kakashi raised his hand.
Each clone knelt.
He sent a chakra pulse, and they rose, shifting into stances.
"Link is perfect," Kakashi noted.
The Orochimaru clone grinned, testing the override relay from his station. UM03 froze mid-motion. Then resumed.
Tobirama stood by, crossing his arms. "They're stronger than I expected. These aren't puppets, they're weapons."
"They're ours," Kakashi replied. "And they'll obey."
He touched his seal.
All three returned to kneeling, awaiting instruction.
Back in the upper compound, Kakashi stood on the balcony, watching the dusk settle over the village. Tsunade arrived beside him, arms folded, still in her Hokage cloak.
"You missed lunch again."
"Time… slipped."Kakashi blinked.
"I assume you were birthing monsters underground again?"
"Biological tools," he corrected with a smirk. "And yes. Successfully."
Tsunade sighed, then leaned her head on his shoulder.
"You're going to save the world with those monsters?"
He looked at her.
"No. I'll save it with us, and use the monsters to do the heavy lifting."
…
Inside the lab below, the three Madara clones sat in silence.
They didn't breathe. They didn't blink. They didn't think.
But they obeyed.
And soon, they would serve.
