Latest Chapter of Clark in the Marvel Universe!
After destroying the first spaceship, Clark charged toward Ronan's flagship.
Clark had no intention of letting Ronan go. Although he didn't know why Ronan had come to Earth this time, he knew it was already the second time Ronan had visited.
As the saying goes, "If it happens once, it can happen again. If it happens twice, there'll definitely be a third time." And then… there's another saying: "There are only three chances to do something." So Clark had no intention of giving Ronan a third opportunity.
However, the distance between Clark and Ronan was too far. While Ronan's ship couldn't possibly be faster than Clark, he still failed to intercept him before Ronan entered a jump point.
Watching Ronan disappear into the jump point, Clark could only stop in frustration. He couldn't risk jumping into hyperspace just to chase one person.
In fact, with Clark's physique, space jumping wasn't a problem. But he didn't have a star map. Even if he killed Ronan, he wouldn't know how to return afterward.
Although Clark possessed the energy of the Cosmic Cube in his body, and he felt he might be able to use that power to travel through space, he had never actually tested the idea. And even if it didn't work, so what?
So, seeing Ronan disappear, Clark had no choice but to let him go for now and comfort himself: If Ronan dares to come to Earth again, I'll make sure I kill him next time.
As Ronan's fleet began to retreat, even though S.H.I.E.L.D. didn't know exactly how Clark had done it, they could clearly see the alien fleet withdrawing via the high-powered astronomical telescope connected to their monitors.
"Success! Superman actually drove off those aliens!"Everyone at the base cheered when they got the news.
"Coulson, inform the Captain and the others—Clark has successfully repelled the alien invaders. Tell them to bring Loki back to me. I have a feeling these aliens are somehow connected to him,"Nick Fury said to Coulson, who was in contact with Black Widow.
Natasha and Captain America were shocked upon receiving the news. Everyone's jaws dropped.Yes—just think about it—they hadn't even reached their destination, and Clark had already dealt with the threat.
"Looks like we'll need to step it up. Otherwise, Clark might have time to help with our mission when he gets back."
Natasha was also surprised when she heard Clark had defeated the alien fleet. Originally, they had assumed Clark might silently stop the invaders, and maybe the real turning point would come after Loki was caught.
After all, if the alien fleet had been allowed to invade, she didn't believe Earth would be able to win against a civilization with interstellar capabilities.
Still, Clark's efficiency stirred her competitive spirit. After all, from any angle, their mission was easier than Clark's.
And it wasn't just Natasha who was provoked by Clark's achievements. As their Quinjet approached Stuttgart, Germany, Tony Stark was also preparing to act.
Tony stood up, gave a confident smile to Captain and the others, then adjusted his faceplate and moved to the aircraft hatch.
"I'm going first. Let's see if you guys can reach him before I catch Loki."
No one had worked together before, so it was hard to talk about teamwork. Plus, Tony trusted his Iron Man suit more than his teammates—after all, he was Iron Man.
As the first modern-day superhero, Tony had his pride. He never felt he needed help to accomplish something only he could do.
Before anyone could respond, Tony opened the hatch and jumped out. He activated the thrusters on his suit and vanished into the night.
Watching him disappear, Captain America frowned and turned to Natasha. "Is he always like this?"
To be honest, Cap wasn't too pleased with Tony's attitude. He lacked team spirit and acted on his own.
"Well, in terms of capability, he's pretty reliable. Heads up—we're about to land."
Natasha casually responded, then closed the hatch and pushed the controls forward, sending the aircraft diving toward the ground at high speed.
If the people onboard weren't all superhuman, some of them might've been sick from the sudden drop.
Meanwhile, Loki—still undetected by S.H.I.E.L.D.—after acquiring the needed iridium with Hawkeye's help, began to reveal his true nature. He needed to draw S.H.I.E.L.D.'s attention so Hawkeye could return with the iridium safely.
Beep beep beep!
Maybe someone called the police when Loki attacked Dr. Selvig—after all, it was a high-level gathering of German officials. So, the police quickly surrounded the area.
Perhaps annoyed by all the noise from the sirens, Loki raised his scepter and casually waved it at the surrounding officers.
Boom!
A burst of energy exploded outward, sending nearby police cars flying. The shockwave knocked down the surrounding officers as well.
"What?!"
Seeing the police force so easily defeated, the crowd panicked. Many had just seen what Loki did to Dr. Selvig—and now he was blowing up police cars.
People began to flee in terror, afraid they'd be the next victims.
Watching the terrified crowd scatter, Loki smirked. "Not enough."
Then he summoned his divine power and took a step forward. Something strange happened: as Loki moved, a duplicate of himself appeared where he had just stood.
As he continued walking, a new Loki appeared in each spot he left behind.
After eight steps, Loki stopped. Now, eight identical figures stood behind him—each wearing a golden helmet with antlers, clad in golden armor, and wielding a scepter.
Then, suddenly, the eight clones disappeared.
Swish swish swish!
They hadn't vanished—they had teleported to different corners of the plaza.
"Whoa!"
