Chapter 81 - Illusion

Kopii was running, ignoring all the monsters that came his way. Looking back, he saw no one. Perplexed, he drew his sword, because just a second ago a group of monsters had been chasing him. And suddenly they vanished, as if they had never existed.

"Where is she? Or maybe she's not alone? What level is she?" Kopii thought, listening for the slightest sound. But it was quiet, too quiet.

"It's magic."

"Huh!?"

He twitched abruptly at Kane's voice. He was so focused on his surroundings that he had forgotten about Kane's existence.

"Magic!? Magic, yeah, it's definitely her."

After all, everything that happened when he met that Amazon was very strange: the way he couldn't even move a finger, and his mind completely shut off for a split second. And if it wasn't for Kane, he wouldn't even have noticed. But having learned her main power, he felt calm, and the tension in his body began to gradually fade. "By learning the enemy's secret, I am already one step ahead of him." This is thinking and acting, of course, if she is not higher than him in level.

"But she's definitely not higher than him in level." He distinctly remembered her shocked face when he pecked her on the cheek. Or was she so confident in her magic that she completely relaxed? He least wanted to believe that, because she wouldn't underestimate him anymore, knowing that he could completely avoid her magic.

"Do you think that was her limit?"

"No."

"I think so too. But as long as we know how to deal with her… mind magic, then we have a high chance of winning."

"Yeah, it's better to hope for the best. After all, the worst outcome would be if she only used a measly ten percent then. Hope she used more than seventy percent of her power."

Kopii swallowed, realizing that things might not be as smooth as he would like.

"We need to go."

Thinking so, he threw his thoughts away. If he managed to get out of the dungeon, all his problems would be solved in a second. But he stopped abruptly.

"Where to go?"

"What!?"

He only now realized that he absolutely didn't understand where to go to get higher, as if his memory had been sealed or these memories had simply disappeared. He broke out in a cold sweat from the realization of this.

"I don't know!"

Kopii's eyes darted from side to side, there were too many possibilities where he could go.

"I don't know!"

Where did I come from!?

"I don't know!"

With each second, panic enveloped him. Wherever he looked, everything was the same to him.

"I don't know!"

His eyes frantically darted from side to side, looking for the slightest hint to choose the right path.

"Ah, ha, ah, uh, ha."

He gasped, plunging deeper and deeper into the abyss of panic.

"Ha, i don't know!"

"Aha, I don't know!"

"Calm down!"

"I don't know!"

"I don't know!"

"Hey, can you hear me!?"

"I don't know!"

"I don't know!"

He repeated the same thing like a madman. His eyes continued to dart from side to side, sweat continued to roll down his face like a stream, but he didn't notice any of this.

"KOPII!!!"

"I…"

"Ah, is that it? Came to your senses? Heyyy. Can you hear me?"

Kane couldn't see anything, because Kopii covered his face with his hands and didn't move in one pose.

"Hey."

"Oh."

"Are you kidding me?"

"Kopii."

But no matter how hard Kane tried to reach him, he didn't react in any way.

"Who were you talking to here, sweetie~? Aren't you alone?"

"KOPII!!! She's here, hey, damn, you're stupid. Oh, it's all her doing."

Hearing her voice, he panicked even more, but soon realized that it was all her - her mind magic.

Click.

"What? Tenth floor?"

After her click, the whole environment changed, and then he was horrified and at the same time excited, because from the very beginning the battle was already predetermined. They lost without even moving.

"Illusion."

Kane guessed when she hit Kopii and he lost consciousness.

"I've been looking for you for so long, sweetie~."

The last words before their minds were completely plunged into oblivion. All he could think was, "Creature." He remembered her voice.

"Where am I?"

He barely opened his eyelids, but it was dark enough in the room that it took him time for his eyes to get used to the darkness.

"Ah."

He croaked from the pain in his head. His head was just bursting at the seams, which prevented him from concentrating.

"You're finally awake."

"Mmm…"

Kane's voice sounded, intensifying the pain.

"Hey."

"Stop!!! Hgh, mm…"

He screamed with all his might, but the sharp pain made him realize that it was a very bad idea.

"Oh, you woke up?"

While he was recovering a little from the pain, a hoarse voice reached his ears. It was neither nasty nor pleasant. He looked around to understand where the source of the voice was, and after a few seconds of searching, he found it. A young man who also had his hands in chains. Due to lack of light, he couldn't see his face well.

But the more he looked closely, the more details he noticed, and this did not please him in the least. The strangest thing was that he was completely naked. Realizing this, terrifying thoughts crept into his head that he had fallen into slavery.

"It can't be. I tried so hard, but I couldn't."

In the depths of his soul, panic and despair began to awaken. After all, he had once been captured by slave traders and was able to fight back and leave. And training every day, every day - going down into the dungeon, sparring with Aiz.

And all this turned out to be useless. No matter how hard he tried, he found himself in this situation again. From the realization of this, his heart seemed to clench.

"Hey. Are you awake?"

The same voice wheezed slightly audibly. But he didn't hear it, plunging deeper and deeper into his emotions.

"… Hey. Cough, cough."

Saying a little louder, he immediately coughed like crazy. He didn't say anything more. And with each second, Kopii's panic went away, and the pain followed. After all, he understood more and more that it was quite unlikely. Or did he want to believe in it? But putting all the information together:

"Cough, cough."

"Mind magic. Orario. Dungeon… I'm alone… Popuranny."

And with each of these facts, his confidence that these were slave traders grew sharply. But one fact was embarrassing: if she has such magic, she could find many ways to earn money. Or is she not chasing money?

"Cough, cough, damn cough."

Looking at the source of the voice, he saw the same guy. But now he could see his facial features, and he was quite cute and handsome. Of course, he could only judge this by the shape of his face. Of course, he could be wrong that he is handsome.

"Hey."

"Oh, you finally came to your senses."

"Where are we?"

"I don't know."

"What!?"

"I, like you, only recently ended up here. And you know, I'd rather die, knowing what's going to happen to us."

"…"

This seemed quite stupid to him, because if he wanted to die, who would stop him from biting off his tongue?

"I can't. Cough, cough."

"!?

"It was written on your face. That's how I understood."

"He sees me?" flashed through his mind.

"Why…"

"I will not say."

"… Okay."

"But you can do it, so do it as quickly as possible."

"!!"

"Oh, oh, calm down, don't look at me like that. Cough, cough. There was another one here before you, but…"

"But…"

"His life was completely broken. In simple words. And the next one will be me, and then you."

"… What will happen?"

"…"

"…"

"In simple words - hell. But eskha, cough, oh, tfoo… But if you want to know.

"I'd like to."

"Well, she'll drug us and rape us… until we're completely broken."

"… And who is she?"

"Toad."

"Toad?"

"Yes."

"Who is it?"

Tap, tap, tap.

But before he could open his mouth, they heard a strange sound.

"Someone's coming!"

His gaze immediately fell on the door, and with each step, goosebumps ran through his body. He didn't even understand why.
