Chapter 265 - 265 Calamity of the Thunder God [High Rank] *5

Sherwin sudden appearance caused Enel, who had been raging in helpless fury, to gradually calm down.

"You? A mere mortal?" Enel cold gaze locked onto Sherwin. "Don't tell me you think that strange shield gives you the right to challenge a god?"

To be fair, this guy Enel was truly stubborn. Even after being blasted into this sorry state by Klee Meow, he still acted all high and mighty, convinced he was a god...

Well, that probably had something to do with Klee Meow being a Logia user as well.

Don't be fooled by how loudly Enel was yelling — at this point, he had likely already acknowledged that the little doll could pose a threat to him, the so-called "God of Thunder."

"I don't think someone who can't even beat my cat has any right to call himself a god," Sherwin said with a teasing grin, each word striking directly at Enel pride.

"Impudent!" Enel roared, unable to stand it. He swung his arm, sending a bolt of lightning crashing toward Sherwin. "Divine Judgment!"

Remembering how Sherwin had blocked his lightning before with a shield, Enel unleashed a horizontal thunder pillar first, then followed up with another Divine Judgment descending from the sky.

However, Sherwin — wanting to test something — didn't switch to his large shield this time. Instead, he raised the small one in his hand…

Link Meow Secret Art: Perfect Shield Parry!

The small round shield, barely larger than a pot lid, intercepted the horizontal lightning bolt.

With a sharp upward motion of Sherwin arm, the lightning trajectory was instantly redirected — it collided with the bolt falling from above.

A burst of crackling light erupted, and both bolts canceled each other out in midair.

Sherwin glanced at the small round shield that had deflected the lightning.

The rubber coating on its surface was slightly damaged — it seemed he still couldn't completely nullify the damage like in the game by relying solely on the shield parry special property.

Moreover, when he blocked the lightning, a bit of the electric current transmitted through the shield, leaving his arm slightly numb.

Even so, Link Meow perfected "Perfect Shield Parry" was nothing short of a divine technique.

As for Enel, who had just witnessed the entire thing with his own eyes — his face was frozen in sheer disbelief, his expression utterly shattered by shock.

"What the hell is with that shield of yours?!" Enel demanded, his tone betraying a hint of panic.

But Sherwin, having finished his little test, couldn't be bothered to answer. He charged straight at Enel with the shield raised.

Not understanding what was going on, Enel was wary of direct contact and immediately turned into lightning to escape.

"So scared already? For a god, you don't seem all that impressive," Sherwin said mockingly.

He couldn't possibly match lightning in speed, so he decisively switched tactics to verbal taunting.

Simple provocation, perhaps — but extremely effective against a chronic chūnibyō like Enel.

"It nothing more than some petty trick that blocks my lightning," Enel sneered.

"But if you think lightning is only good for shocking people, you're dead wrong!"

With a flash, Enel appeared behind Sherwin, five fingers outstretched as he reached for Sherwin head.

"As long as I avoid that shield of yours— Huh—Oof!!"

Before he could finish, the overconfident Enel took a solid kick to the gut — Sherwin "Divine Dragon Tail Swing." The impact nearly made him vomit last night dinner.

"Why—how can you hit me?!!"

Clutching his stomach, Enel fell to his knees, his face filled with disbelief.

"As a god, you shouldn't be going around asking questions like that," Sherwin said, still uninterested in explaining what Armament Haki was.

He smirked and continued to taunt, "Shouldn't a god be all-knowing and all-powerful? You, my friend, are a pretty unqualified god."

As Sherwin spoke, he swung the Longsword toward Enel in a sharp slash.

Once again, the so-called "god" fled.

And this time, he ran for real — without even glancing back, he bolted straight toward the direction of the beanstalk.

Seriously? That cowardly?Sherwin twitched the corner of his mouth, then quickly gave chase, shouting as he ran, "Running away already? Where are you going, Lord God of Cowards?!"

Yet, Enel — who was supposed to be arrogant and prideful — completely ignored the taunt, continuing to flee in a streak of lightning.

Wait a second…

Sherwin suddenly remembered. In the manga, when Enel realized his lightning had no effect on Luffy and got thoroughly beaten, he immediately trapped Luffy in a giant golden ball and threw him off the flying ship.

Even though Enel still had the strength to fight back — and technically held the upper hand — he chose to avoid direct combat.

Every time Luffy climbed back up, Enel never truly fought him he just kept tossing Luffy off the ship, preventing him from getting close.

On the surface, it looked like Enel was acting all calm and dismissive, unwilling to "lower himself" to fight.

But in truth, the guy was scared — terrified — and wanted to use his safest trump card, Raigo, to erase both Luffy and Skypiea in one go.

So yeah… Enel had always been a coward at heart!

He didn't dare face Luffy even when he had the advantage — so now, getting pummeled one-sidedly by Sherwin, it wasn't surprising he turned tail and ran.

The key problem was… that coward really fast when it came to running away.

Just as Enel was about to escape beyond the range of Sherwin Observation Haki, the Dodo Advance suddenly descended from the sky — in its Thunder Wolf Dragon form — and slammed a claw down onto the fleeing streak of lightning.

Ah, right — Hua Mei Meow and the others were flying toward the beanstalk too.

Sherwin, who had been slowing down and about to give up the chase, immediately picked up speed again.

"Damn those Blue Sea people and Felynes! Get out of my way!"

At this moment, Enel no longer cared about maintaining his so-called "godly" demeanor.

With a furious wave of his hand, he sent a massive thunder dragon crashing down toward the Felynes aboard the Dodo Advance.

Then he saw a little leopard-patterned Felyne leap up, raise its shield, and make a move that left a deep impression on him.

(=`ω=)┫く

In Enel disbelieving eyes—his very worldview collapsing before him—the massive thunder dragon he unleashed was deflected back by the tiny shield held by Link Meow, a shield barely larger than a human palm.

Then, something even more incomprehensible happened. The thunder dragon that was reflected back struck Enel own body, carrying with it a strange force—one that even his elemental form couldn't avoid.

Enel instantly recognized that power it was the same kind that came from Sherwin kick earlier.

And so, the unguarded "God of Thunder" was sent flying by his own thunder dragon.

What the hell was going on?!

Enel mind was filled with confusion…

That so-called "Fire God" was one thing, but Sherwin, that Blue Sea human, and that little leopard Felyne—neither showed any signs of possessing a Devil Fruit ability. So why could they still hurt him?

As the self-proclaimed "God of Thunder," wasn't he supposed to be invincible?

Yet before he could make sense of what was happening, Sherwin had already caught up from behind.

Knowing that Enel was the type who loved to act like an all-powerful god but was, in truth, a shameless coward, Sherwin didn't waste a second.

He drew a small knife forged from Seastone—"a friendly gift" from the Crocodile—and, while Enel was still dazed and questioning reality, Sherwin activated Link Time and hurled it straight at him.

Monster Hunter Style: Righteous Throwing Knife!

"Pfft!"

The knife struck Enel squarely in the back.

Having just suffered a chain of blows, Enel mind was in chaos, and he couldn't maintain his Observation Haki.

As a result, he didn't even sense Sherwin Seastone knife flying toward him.

"D-damn it… what is… this thing?"

The moment the blade pierced his body, Enel realized that not only had his powers stopped working, but his entire body had gone limp and weak.

"Seastone?"

He suddenly recalled the information he'd once read about the weaknesses of Devil Fruit users and quickly deduced the material of the knife.

But even knowing it was Seastone did him no good. Helpless, Enel collapsed onto the ground in despair, watching as Sherwin caught up and tied him up tightly—

—using Seastone chains, of course.
