"Once we get back home, we definitely need to rest well and spend plenty of time with our families. It's been such a long time since we left—over a year now, hasn't it?" Harumiko said with a soft smile.
Hiroshi nodded in agreement. "You're absolutely right. We've been away for more than a year, and during all that time, we never once went back or even sent word to anyone. Just like you said, when we return, we're going to stay and be with them properly."
Harumiko nodded gently, then got out of bed and walked slowly toward the bathroom.
"Hiroshi, I'm going to take a shower first. It was such a long, tiring day. You can go in after me. I feel like I'm covered in sweat and must smell terrible! Once I'm done, we'll get to bed early," she said, smiling.
"Alright, go ahead. I'll just sit here and rest until you're finished. Tonight we're going to sleep really well," Hiroshi replied with a smile.
Harumiko went into the bathroom, locked the door behind her, and began getting undressed to take her shower.
"Nothing much to do right now... I might as well check the reward I got for today's mission. I wonder what it could be? It's been ages since I was given a task, and suddenly out of nowhere, one appeared. I thought it was going to be really tough, but in the end, it only took one single strike to finish it off," Hiroshi thought to himself as he walked over to the window.
He then shifted his focus inward to his mental space, and sure enough, he saw an unread message in his inbox—this must be the reward he hadn't checked yet.
"I'm actually feeling a little excited, strange as it sounds. Since it's been so long since I last had a mission, the reward probably won't be anything bad," he thought, looking at the message.
He opened it, and immediately realised this reward was actually really useful for him.
"I can't believe it... the reward for this mission is a ninjutsu technique — the Multiple Shadow Clone Technique," Hiroshi thought, grinning happily.
With this new ability, his strength had just increased significantly. He could now summon dozens of clones at once, which would be incredibly effective and useful in battle.
"This is amazing! Taking down that little turtle with one hit earned me such a great skill. I must have had the best luck in the world today!" he whispered softly, looking at the reward in front of him.
He decided not to learn it right away, but to wait until they were back home where he could take his time and study it properly — mastering a technique like this couldn't be rushed.
"Today turned out to be full of wonderful surprises. My power will grow even stronger now, and my future looks bright and limitless. In three years' time, when that enemy arrives, I'll be strong enough to defeat them easily. And when that day comes, I'll be able to protect Konoha," Hiroshi thought as he looked out the window, returning his awareness to the real world.
He had absolute confidence in his abilities now. Over these past few years, he had learned and mastered so many things. He truly believed he was more than ready to face and defeat that future threat.
