Zack and Lisanna can only look at each other, while their minds are still trying to progressed what just happened.
This is not the first time, for either Lisanna or Zack to see Elfman out of his shy character. And yet, even if the duo has seen it many times, Elfman outbursts of his persona. They still have no clue, why Elfman suddenly breaks into the bedroom, only to point and shout at Zack for some reason.
If that wasn't enough, Elfman has now become a blushing statue, remaining in place, while his face redden by the second by shame no less.
"Did something happen, brother?" Lisanna is the first one to broke the long awkward silence between the three of them, and worriedly asked her elder brother.
"Yeah… did I do something?" Zack askes this, he has no clue what he done, but seeing Elfman outburst of rage, before it turned to shamed, told Zack he must done something wrong, he just has no clue what that is.
"T-Th-That…! W-Well… a-about that!" Elfman said, trying to explained his misunderstanding, however, his shy persona has returned, causing it hard for the shy teenager to correct himself.
"Calm down! No one going to understand you, if you don't calm down." Zack rosed from his seat, and came next to his friend, patting his back to calm Elfman down, who took a long breath, forcing himself to calm his chaotic mind.
"I am sorry!" Elfman loudly went and bow his head, settling Zack as well Lisanna who watched the two boys.
"I-I misunderstood you… and came t-to a conclusion, that you were doing something wrong with Lisanna… please forgive me…" Elfman shyly but honestly went.
"Hmm, doing something wrong to Lisanna??" Zack askes, as he folded his arms to recall what he done to Lisanna so far, but besides studying, nothing came to mind.
"While I don't know what going through big brother's head. But he is doing nothing but torturing me… why do I have to go through this…" Lisanna went, forcing a smile while she looked at the books on the table.
While Lisanna is gentle, and kind to her nature. There is one thing about the little polite teenager that stands out compared to others.
That is her dislike towards studying as a whole.
Normally, one wouldn't imagine someone as sweet and kind as Lisanna, who suits the role of a model student, is anything beyond that. She hates studying, to the point, if she could get her own way, she will even burn these damned books, how much she beginning to hate them.
But a shame, she has no choice but to study.
One might not know, but knowledge to a Wizard is their strength in itself.
Of course, Magic Power plays an important role in the strength of a Wizard. But no one can deny knowledge is also an important element to any Wizard.
One has to learn and study to use Magic itself.
Of course, there are special cases, like Dragon Slayer Magic or Original Magic.
(AN: Original Magic is not a canon thing, but it does exist, those that create or manifest their own Magic Systems, aka, Original Magic, that what it will be called in this fanfic)
While Dragon Slayer Magic can be learnt by Dragons, like Natsu, but that is not how all Dragon Slayers learned Dragon Slayer Magic.
Those that learned from Dragons themselves, are referred as First Generation Dragon Slayers. But Second Generation Dragon Slayers are different, they don't learn Dragon Slayer Magic via an actual Dragons.
But with a source known as Dragon Lacrimas, allowing the bearer to use Dragon Slayer Magic of the nature of the Lacrima without learning how to gained it.
While Original Magic, is a Magic system that is either created by an experienced Wizard, with their own knowledge.
Or Original Magic can also be manifested, but manifesting your own Magic system is not as easy as it sounds. Most cases of Original Magic manifesting in someone, is when they went under dire situation by themselves, manifesting a Magic system based on their own desires and willingness… just like Mirajane, who wanted to take everything away from that Demon who took everything from her at that day.
However, while it is possible to learn Magic, without studying to weld it. Does not mean you don't have to study at all.
You still need to learn how to control Magic Power itself, how to control and make your own Magic that has been acquired as your own.
Not to mention, Wizards themselves are not bound to one Magic System, most experienced Wizards will learn many different spells from different Magic systems, that support their own Magic system or systems they specialize in.
That is why studying, learning, and experience are important for the growth of any Wizard. And of course, there are expectations.
One of them will be Dragon Slayer Magic, it is the kind of Magic system that does not grow by knowledge like most other systems. But by their own experience itself, especially in combat.
Not to mention, there also Magic systems that goes onto the path of Wizards known as Martial Artists, who become stronger like Dragon Slayers in most cases.
After all, the field of Magic is a complex one, since there are so many paths one could take to learn and control Magic Power within them.
Not to say, it is not just knowledge on Magic itself, that is important for any Wizard.
One still need to know common sense, how the system known as Legal Guilds work, as well basic level of knowledge when it comes to Monsters you will face, having knowledge on them, will save your life after all.
And there still the knowledge of the known Dark Guilds, that also could save someone life, if they were to happened to run into one of them, especially if they came from the high ranking ones, who also has their own handfuls of S-Class Dark Wizards among them.
"There's no helping it, it something Master askes of us… not to mention, it will be a waste to not learn any of this… when we cannot imagine we will be allowed to learn such things, before leaving that place." Elfman went with a wry smile, causing Lisanna also to have a downcast look.
Of course, this confused the third wheel, Zack.
But he knew it must be a heavy topic. Especially when he has no clue, this is related to their hometown, the village they are born in.
In this world, while they are educational systems. Does not mean everyone has access to them, especially those in remote areas, or born with no status or money.
Things known as schools are only meant for the rich and the nobility.
Of course, there also things known as Magic Schools. Places where people who learnt they have Magic Power, can attend if they at certain age, to learn Magic there, instead of the traditional ways, like going to a Guild, or becoming apprentice to an experienced Wizard.
Magic Schools themselves are funded by both the Legal Guilds, and the Magic Council, to let young talent to bloom in a place, that are unbiased by other Guilds.
After all, each Guild has their own beliefs, and each Guild might have their own unique Magic Systems, that only their core members can learn from.
Not to mention, these days, most Guilds will not accept anyone, unless they had come from a Magic School. And there also Guilds will not accept those that are not skilled or powerful enough.
It is something Makarov that hatred, and one of the reasons he disliked the Magic Council, that created this system.
Luckly enough, not all Guilds followed this, and stay with their own beliefs, like how Fairy Tail will accept anyone, as long they wanted a place to be accepted.
Which is what Mavis Vermillion intentioned, when she created and founded Fairy Tail a long time ago.
A haven for Wizards.
A home for those that has no place to belong to.
A place where people don't have to fear Magic, like it was a long time ago, due to its unknown abilities and power.
In the end, being born in a remote village, Elfman, Mirajane, and Lisanna never given the chance to study, in truth, if that day never happened. The Strauss Siblings will properly never leave the village, like the fate of many others.
They will find a job, marry, and lead a normal life, without even knowing they have Magic Power dwelling inside them.
That is why, for the Strauss who born in such a place, it will not be wise to waste something, that normal people only can dream of.
"When I think of that… you right… I hate it… but I knew your intentions… that why it hard to refuse…" Lisanna went with a moan, sighing, after all, she does have a pushover side to her, especially when it comes to those that do these things she dislikes for her own good.
She just… cannot say no to the good intentions and wellbeing of others.
"Now… I think of it, sister is amazing, isn't she? She started the same time as us… and yet, so already far ahead of us, I wonder the day… when I can proudly stand next to someone as amazing as her?" Lisanna went with a smile, but that smile soon faded with a determination look.
Elfman said nothing, as he too also agrees, and smiled, and cheered his little sister on.
"You can, you can Lisanna, after all, you are our little sister, no matter how long it will take, both me and Mirajane will be waiting for you." Elfman went with a bright smile.
"Brother…" Lisanna went with a slight blush of embarrassment, and yet a smile formed on her lips, and a warm feeling of having your family cheering you on, is something no one could dislike.
After that familial moment between brother and sister, the trio begin to returned back to their studies.
Of course, Elfman did leave the room, to clean the mess he created when he dropped the refreshments. And returned with more refreshments, and like, time moved on, until a certain someone who lives in this household came back.

It always warms me up with some bounding moments between siblings.
I search how education works in fairy tail, and shockingly enough, it what you expect from a medieval era. And the Magic School thing… I don't know if it canon or fanon, but it does suit the world setting.
Expect from more bounding moments… but not between siblings.
Also, you agree with the name of Original Magic?
It is never mentioned in the canon, but Magic can be manifested or created, but those Magic systems never had their own name, like Lost Magic, or Forbidden Magic do.
It just felt right, to have their own name.
