"sorry about what happened, we would ensure it doesn't occur again" Jennie said leading me into a private room with a table and chairs arranged, their vip was upstairs, it had a good view of the city that showed from the glass wall like window at the other side of the room, there was a couch placed to in case a customer wanted to rest after eating, it was a lovely place "it alright, sometimes we cant control crazy people" i said making Jennie giggle, i smiled in return
"this is your room, someone will arrive shortly to attend to you" she said bowing a slightly, she left the room. watching her close the door i walked to the couch placed close to the window, sitting down i watched the busy city, soon there was a knock on the door "come in" i said turning to the door, the door opened revealing a young man in the waiters uniform "im here to take your order" he said taking out his note, picking up the menu on the table i made my order.
when he was done taking note he bowed slightly "we will be with you shortly" he said, walking out of the room, i resumed my gazing out the window, i was thinking about my next plan while i waited for the gala, my mind flashed back to this morning exchange and i finally remembered Javier had a younger brother. a sly smile formed on my lips, and i already knew my next line of actions.
Javier's younger brother Damon was still a college student, the last i recall he was in his second year the year of my failed murder, so now he would be in his finals. i wonder how he's doing, i actually didn't care about him, he wasn't particularly bad to me but he never did anything to help so i wasn't going to ruin his life i might just use him to ruin his brother's. the door opened as the same waiter brought in what i ordered.
walking to the table, i took sit whispering a thank you he bowed and walked out of the room, picking up my spoon i ate, i ordered sea food, it was my favorite and they made it best here since they stayed close to the sea. digging in, i finished wiping my mouth with the small towel i left the restaurant, i was going to buy a new hand bag and go to Damon's college, i wanted to introduce myself.
alec sat at his office desk looking through some documents, he was trying to concentrate but his mind kept darting back to adelia, he was worried about her, he had sent someone to keep track of her whereabouts and he was surprised of how busy she was. he expected that she'll be struggling finding her footing again that's why he thought of employing her into his company would help but it turned out she didn't need his help, how much of this girl does he not know about.
"you seem lost in thought" a male voice brought alec back to reality, looking up he frowned "Jayden, did you not learn to knock before entering my office" alec said glaring at him "i did, multiple times but you didn't answer" Jayden defended, he stood in front of alec's desk wearing a grey suit, his white here neatly combed with some strands falling on his forehead, his dark grey eyes staring at alec "you've been looking at that document for the past thirty minutes, what's so interesting about it" he asked
alec glared at him "why are you here" "i brought the document i retrieved from tidal tech, we talked about it yesterday" Jayden replied, placing the document on the desk, "why are you so interested in tidal tech now, last i checked you wanted nothing to do with them" alec picked the document from the table "because they seem interesting now" alec replied "is it because of the lady you rescued two years back" Jayden asked, earning another glare from alec "i don't see how any of that is your business, do the job i pay you for" alec retorted
"hey you don't have to be prickly about it, it makes me even more curious" Jayden said smirking, he was the only one that could banter with alec and get away with it as his right hand man, they have been friends since college and he owed alec a lot because he saved his life once before so no matter what he was going to be by alec's side
alec looked up at him "I'll tell you when im off work, so can you let me concentrate" alec said, chasing him out of his office "okay fine" Jayden said leaving the office. alec shook his head looking back at the document in his hand.
