Serenya entered the classroom with an unsatisfied expression; she couldn't believe that the damned king had to talk with Enrico for so long and ended up interrupting her time with her future husband.
"Damned king"
"Stupid king"
"I hope lightning strikes that king's head"
"I can't believe he stole my soulmate"
And it seemed she wasn't the only one, because as she sat down she heard Valença, Rina, Aoi, and Danyana insulting the king behind her. Fully agreeing with those words, she decided to see how Seraphina was reacting since she was very quiet.
'She doesn't seem to have liked it either'
Seraphina was tapping her finger hard on the desk, her look said everything—if she could hit the king, she definitely would. All six of them wanted the king to suffer somehow. Meanwhile, Alaric, who was with his mages, sneezed as he felt his name being mentioned.
"Are you alright, my king?"
"Yes, I just think my subordinates are wishing me well."
"If you say so, then it's fine. And it's not just your subordinates, everyone in Sanos admires you."
Not everyone, because the poor King Alaric, while smiling, had five girls wishing him harm. When the door opened, they almost stood up when they saw Enrico stretching.
"My Ketsumei—"
"Enrico, sit here, I saved a spot."
Rina glared threateningly at Kai, who had shouted behind her. Seeing that, Enrico walked over and sat next to Kai, who had a smile on his face.
"Good morning, everyone. It's good to see you haven't changed."
"Well, we changed a little, but only a tiny bit."
"That's good, because changing can also mean you improved."
Enrico's look seemed very calm as he observed them; besides that, he somehow seemed more relaxed than yesterday. Valença felt a curiosity and a feeling that she had to find out what happened before, because she had a sensation that it was important.
'Wait, Angela said he was with the king, so it shouldn't be anyth—wait, Elowyn was there too, right?'
As her eyes turned cold, she noticed that Elowyn also seemed better than yesterday. It was very possible the two of them talked about the arranged marriage, and if both were in that state it meant everything went well.
'That damn princess'
With cunning, she mentioned it to the other girls. After telling them, all of the girls directed their curses at Elowyn, who simply looked at them and ignored it a moment later.
'Damn princess, you won't escape'
The door opened once again, revealing Virelle with a small smile on her face. Placing her attendance sheet on the desk, she sat down.
"Good morning, students, I will take attendance, so pay attention."
"Yes, professor."
"First, Enrico Solcren Ferreira."
Everyone in the room, even Enrico, became a little confused since he wasn't supposed to be the first name mentioned. Seeing that look of hers directed at Enrico, they realized it was simply her favoritism showing more than before.
"I'm here."
"Very well, next is—"
As she called the names, even Danyana, who had been staring at Enrico nonstop, noticed Yumeha wasn't there. This confused both the girls and the boys—none of them thought Yumeha would skip spending any moment with her master.
"Akirama no Yumeha"
Noticing that Yumeha wasn't there, Virelle frowned in doubt. Hearing the name, Enrico raised his hand without any expression on his face.
"Sorry, professor, but Yumeha won't be able to come today. I'll take the notes of what we'll see today and give them to her later."
Enrico's future wives in that room turned their heads so fast they thought their necks might break.
'…Alright, but did she ask for this rest?'
"Since she was really tired, I was the one who requested this moment of rest for her."
"Ok, just tell her that next time she needs to warn me a day ahead."
"Thank you for understanding, professor."
From the words Enrico was saying, he had not spent the whole day talking with the king. That could only mean one thing—Angela lied to them.
"Why would she lie about my Ketsumei? Aoi?"
"I don't know—unless Yumeha asked her to."
Realizing they had been deceived, they would need a very serious conversation with Angela and Yumeha to find out why. Seraphina, next to Valença, tried to ease the atmosphere since she didn't want to have that reaction with Enrico present.
"Maybe it was something important about a mission."
"Then why did my future husband say Yumeha was tired?"
"Maybe because they trained?"
"All night, without telling any of us? I'm sure that damn girl did something to my Enrico."
It was the first time Seraphina saw Valença speak badly of Yumeha with such a deadly expression, especially since the two were among those who got along the best out of the seven.
[I can't believe you actually did that, you bastard]
'Did you not understand, system? I will not break any promise, so deal with it.'
[I never thought I'd have such a shameless host, you abandoned me because of a woman]
'I didn't abandon you, I was even warning you—you're the one who didn't want to leave willingly.'
For Enrico this wasn't an important discussion. What he should care about now was when he could go to the dungeon in the sky. Renzou would definitely send a message in a few days, so he had to stay alert.
'When will he send it? It would be good to get this over with.'
[Maybe he already went with his guards?]
'I don't think so because only one day has passed since my return, so he shouldn't send a message this fast.'
A knock at the door interrupted Virelle from the magic circle she was drawing in the air. Going to answer, she seemed to talk with someone wearing Tsuyokuni clothing. Waving, she began to bring a letter over to a surprised Enrico—it had arrived much sooner than he expected, while his future wives completed their thoughts after a short period of discussion.
'If this is what I think, I'll be the next one.'
