"You're saying… you want a gravity chamber that can adjust freely up to one hundred times gravity?"
Bulma repeated Naruto's request, eyebrows twitching.
Then, in her typical scolding tone, she said seriously, "Do you even understand what one hundred times gravity means? You'd be crushed into paste in an instant!"
"I think one hundred times is too much," she continued, softening a little. "It'd be safer to lower the standard—how about ten times gravity instead?"
Her concern wasn't misplaced. After all, this was the man who had saved her from the Great Demon King—her benefactor. Of course, she didn't want anything to happen to him.
(And it didn't hurt that he was a handsome guy, either.)
"My body's already adapted to ten times gravity," Naruto replied with a helpless smile. "For my next stage of training, I need at least a hundred."
Don't mistake me for one of those brainless Saiyans, he thought. I know exactly what a hundred times gravity means.
"…Alright," Bulma finally said, seeing that he wasn't joking. "I'll make it happen."
Meanwhile, Dr. Brief was circling the small spherical spacecraft Naruto had brought—the one Goku rode in as a child—inspecting it from every angle with fascination.
"So, you want to remodel this small pod into a full-scale starship capable of interstellar travel?" he asked, his tone intrigued. "I've never modified alien tech before, but… it shouldn't be a problem."
Dr. Brief was one of the top scientists on Earth—no, to be precise, one of the most brilliant minds in the entire universe.
If anyone could pull off a spacecraft conversion, it was him.
"And also these two," Naruto said, producing two more items and placing them in front of Bulma and her father. "I'll need you both to modify these as well."
One was a device that looked like a scouter, the other, a battle outfit.
It was an old-style power level detector and the Saiyan battle suit that Goku had worn as a child.
Naruto planned to wear that suit underneath—and his white Divine Robe over it.
As for his old Akatsuki cloak… he wasn't planning on wearing it here. In the Dragon Ball world, battles often ended with torn clothing, and that particular cloak came with an unspoken "take it off and you die" curse. He wasn't about to tempt fate.
"What are these supposed to be?" Bulma asked curiously.
Naruto picked up the old scouter. "This device is called a power level detector. It can display a person's strength as a numerical value. Unfortunately, this one's an outdated model—it can only measure up to around ten thousand. I'll need you, Miss Bulma, to modify it so it can read higher numbers."
Bulma's eyes lit up with curiosity as she took the scouter and began inspecting it.
"Oh, and one more thing," Naruto added casually. "It might have a built-in listening device—be careful when you adjust the settings."
He then lifted the Saiyan battle suit. "This is a special kind of armor found throughout the universe. It's flexible, stretchable, and offers decent protection."
Pointing to the shoulder armor, he said, "But these pointy bits get in the way. Think you can remove them?"
Technically, they didn't hinder movement—but they did look awkward. Naruto simply thought they were ugly.
"That's easy," Bulma said confidently.
"Don't worry, you saved my life—I'll handle it," she promised, patting her chest with self-assurance (and perhaps a little flair).
These were all things that Bulma and Dr. Brief would eventually build or modify in the original timeline. It was a few years early, but if anyone could handle it, it was them.
"How long do you think it'll take to finish everything?" Naruto asked, getting to the point.
Dr. Brief exhaled a smoke ring thoughtfully. "Three months. Give me three months to study it, and it'll be done."
If Dr. Brief said three months, then it would be done in three months—no question.
"How much will it cost?" Naruto asked seriously.
The Brief family might not lack money, but that wasn't an excuse to freeload—or to take advantage of their generosity.
Their wealth was their own business. Since he was commissioning their help, he'd pay fair compensation.
It was a matter of principle.
"No, no, don't worry about that," Bulma said, waving her hand dismissively. "It's just a spaceship and some devices. It's no big deal. You're the one who saved our lives!"
Bulma might not be a fighter, but when it came to technology or wealth, the Brief family stood at the top.
Still, taking money from her rescuer? That was something she just couldn't do.
"Fair is fair," Naruto insisted. He reached into his belt pouch and unsealed a scroll, pulling something out.
"I said you don't have to—huh?!" Bulma froze mid-sentence, eyes going wide.
What Naruto had placed on the table was a diamond the size of a child's head—three or four years old, at least. It sparkled brilliantly under the sunlight.
That color… that clarity… absolutely flawless.
Bulma was instantly mesmerized.
Ordinary diamonds—those the size of a pigeon's egg—were nothing compared to this.
Sure, the Briefs were filthy rich. But Bulma was still a woman, and what woman didn't love something shiny?
A diamond this size was beyond priceless—even with all her money, she couldn't simply buy one like it.
During her past adventures with Goku and the others, she'd once found a diamond the size of her fist. But she'd ended up using it to repay Master Roshi for his destroyed submarine—only for Blonde Launch to steal it later.
That fist-sized gem had been rare, but not unique in the Dragon Ball world.
But this?
A diamond the size of a child's head?
Bulma had never even heard of such a thing existing.
A one-of-a-kind gemstone—its value went beyond money.
To Naruto, though, it was just a rock.
"I've got plenty more where that came from," he said, unsealing another scroll filled with sparkling jewels. "If you like them, take them all."
Even if the currencies of the Shinobi and Dragon Ball worlds couldn't be exchanged, treasures like these could easily bridge the gap.
Money might not solve everything, but it solved a lot.
So Naruto had brought plenty just in case.
"I—I couldn't possibly…" Bulma stammered, though her eyes kept flicking toward the glittering gems. They were so bright… so beautiful…
If it had just been ordinary gold, silver, or small diamonds, she wouldn't have cared. But these were unique, likely one-of-a-kind treasures.
She was tempted.
"Don't worry about it," Naruto said with a smile. "I've got tons more anyway. I'll be back in three months to pick up the finished gear. Oh, and—can you throw in a full set of everyday-use capsules while you're at it?"
With his new Capsule set in hand, Naruto chatted a bit longer with the Brief family before taking his leave.
Far to the north, in a small, remote village far from any city—
The child carrying all of Piccolo the Great Demon King's power and memories had just landed there.
A child destined to carry his father's will.
He would be known as Piccolo.
The newborn, still small and frail, was peeking through a window, watching a family happily gathered around their dinner table. His eyes reflected an emotion he didn't quite understand—envy.
Then, with a soft breeze, a golden flash appeared behind him.
A white divine robe fluttered in the air as a hand gently rested on Piccolo's shoulder.
A bright, sunlit face smiled down at him.
"From now on," Naruto said softly, "I'm your guardian."
