Chapter 474 - Chapter 474: Energy Collision of Four-Attribute Breath

A dull pain lingered in his back. The solid back scales were riddled with dense cracks, yet those fissures were healing at a speed visible to the naked eye.

That had really been close just now—Logan had almost truly been injured!

He had to admit that in the recent battle, Logan had indeed been far too careless, and far too trusting of the information he had obtained.

Based on the way Shara Ishvalda had carried itself since the battle began—lofty and condescending, every attack openly executed, directly suppressing opponents with sheer force, wearing an unmistakable air of "you are all nothing but ants"—he had judged that this thing would not resort to a sneak attack.

Yet contrary to all expectations, when facing both Nergigante and the others and Logan, it displayed two completely different attitudes.

It actually launched a sneak attack!

This differential treatment caused a misjudgment on Logan's part. He had even dared to land while his vision and perception were obstructed, handing the opponent an opportunity to counterattack.

The second factor was his excessive confidence in his own defensive capability.

Granted, under the combined reinforcement of Terastal Transformation, Multiscale, Marvel Scale, and Charred Body, Logan's defensive power far exceeded what could be judged by sight alone—nearly reaching a level that simply should not have been attainable for a creature of his size.

Moreover, during the previous Xeno'jiiva subjugation operation, although Logan had not been the main offensive force, he had still taken Xeno'jiiva's attacks head-on in order to create suitable openings for his teammates.

Yet at the time, Xeno'jiiva had only shattered the Terastal membrane and left a few scattered marks on the scales—nothing like the present situation, where the scales had been blasted apart and the damage had reached the flesh and blood within.

In the span of two breaths, the scales returned to their original state. The shattered Terastal film, along with those broken Terastal spines, re-covered the surface, and a Logan as good as new appeared once more.

On the horizon, the two Velkhana that witnessed all of this had originally thought their side's main force had been injured, and that next they would have to shoulder more of the offensive burden—but what the hell was this?!

With that kind of self-healing speed, they had only just seen it on that Nergigante, all right!!

The Arch-Tempered Velkhana's orange, vertical pupils stared deeply at Logan, and it decisively put him on the "do not provoke" list in its mind. How could the world possibly have such an outrageous dragon?!

The only one who showed no reaction at all upon seeing Logan get attacked was Nergigante, who had flown back.

As a dragon that had been beaten up before, Nergigante knew that in the past Logan had been able to play a trade-wounds game with it. Now that he was this strong, Regeneration certainly would not have stood still. With injuries like that just now, even Nergigante itself could heal rapidly after catching its breath—let alone Logan, this "good brother."

Therefore, instead of choosing to link up with Logan, it charged at Shara Ishvalda once again, intending to find another way to create the next offensive opportunity for Logan and those two dragons who were just making up the numbers.

As for why Nergigante was being so proactive—would it say that after Shara Ishvalda died, it had been permitted to take a share of the spoils?

But just as it surged into the smoke, in the very next second, a pair of frenzied, blood-red pupils locked onto it like this.

Those tiny pupils, constantly oscillating between reason and madness, set off by vast expanses of exaggerated sclera, were enough to make one's skin crawl from a single gaze alone—as if this world were an illusion, and it had already seen through that illusion to stare directly at the most unfathomable truth.

Such a gaze—one that should not, should not exist in this world, one that seemed to transcend everything—pierced deeply into Nergigante's heart.

Shara Ishvalda lowered its body, pressing the wound on its chest beneath itself.

Eight wing bones vibrated rapidly, and the exaggerated ultra-vibration waves appeared once more, blowing away all the surrounding smoke and dust.

However, this attack was not meant to deal with Nergigante.

It was not yet worthy of Shara Ishvalda displaying such a serious posture!

Breath attacks entwined with four different attributes descended from the sky. The exaggerated area of coverage collided with the ultra-vibration waves, and at the boundaries where the energies met, countless explosions rang out without pause. The terrifying shockwaves caused the ground itself to tremble.

Magma erupted, lightning ran rampant, and the searing dragon-attribute aura revealed a deep malice toward large monsters. Scattered Terastal energy fell everywhere—one enormous Terastal crystal after another appeared out of thin air, only to be pulverized into dust by the impacts, reflecting multicolored light as it scattered into the distance.

On one side, overwhelming momentum; on the other, plain and unadorned.

This was the most primal clash of energies, and also the most perilous form of combat.

Shara Ishvalda's four limbs were driven firmly into the ground, yet under the recoil force it was still being pushed steadily backward.

In the sky, several turbines behind Logan continuously drove his body, anchoring him in place. His chest and throat glowed with a blinding crimson as a result of the extremely high energy output.

The crimson heart beat at high speed, and through the preliminarily completed internal circulation energy network, it precisely mobilized the energy scattered among the various energy storage sites within Logan's body, providing him with ample reserve power.

Exaggerated energy pulses spread outward in wave after wave from the point of collision, completely agitating the free-floating elemental energies within the area. The Velkhana in the sky could clearly sense that the ice-element energy in the air was being violently repelled. At present, their attacks could rely only on the energy stored within their own bodies, and in such an environment, they would be greatly weakened.

Nergigante, halfway through its charge, could only raise its arms to block the constantly spreading energy pulses. A searing pain spread across its skin, and its forward speed was drastically reduced.

Finally, as the energy continued to accumulate, an enormous fireball appeared above the isolated island.

Logan's membrane-covered pupils contracted slightly. At this distance, with this level of energy accumulation, if it continued to build any further, given the distance between him and Shara Ishvalda, it was likely that not a single one would be able to escape.

Even bearing exaggerated Regeneration, when faced with an attack of this magnitude—one rich in dragon-attribute energy and Terastal energy—it would likely end in mutual destruction!

With that thought, Logan expelled a stream of hot air from his nostrils and directly altered the attribute ratio of his breath.

Pure Terastal energy was instantly injected into the fireball. Sheer Force activated, and the fireball—still within controllable limits—erupted outright.

As space itself twisted, the already half-ruined island collapsed once more. The central region of the entire island caved in under the explosion, sinking into a basin.

Within the blaze, Logan's body continuously absorbed the surrounding flames, replenishing his own energy expenditure.

Carrying supersonic speed, he charged straight toward Shara Ishvalda, which at the very last moment had likewise rotated its wing bones to shield itself.

This strike was head-on and aboveboard!

Fire Wyvern Flying Kick!

By the time Shara Ishvalda—its Merciful Eye Carapace disrupted by chaotic energy and its vision obscured by firelight—reacted, Logan's flying kick had already landed squarely on its head.

Amid the sound of shattering Terastal crystals, Shara Ishvalda's chilling head was smashed deep into the ground. The entire rear half of its body bounced high into the air, then crashed down heavily.

Logan swiftly shifted position. After evading Shara Ishvalda's instinctive, indiscriminate defensive shockwave, his body carved a long furrow across the ground, and he let out a dragon roar toward the sky.

Hearing Logan's roar, the Arch-Tempered Velkhana—having barely avoided yet another explosion—dove down without hesitation, launching a full-force attack toward Shara Ishvalda, which was in the midst of pulling itself out of the ground.

The clever Nergigante shoved aside the rubble covering it, burst out from the deep crater, and loudly cursed Logan for his complete lack of coordination, while also attacking Shara Ishvalda from another direction.

Only the "country girl," left dizzy by the relentless bombardment of explosions, was still wobbling and drifting in the sky, unable to tell east from west.
