Chapter 475 - Chapter 475: Terastal Domain

The Shara Ishvalda closed one eye and snapped its head up, as extensive damage appeared around the hollowed area of the Merciful Eye Carapace atop its head.

Logan's flying kick just now had been aimed directly at that Merciful Eye Carapace. Although it was unknown why Logan knew about such a hidden organ unique to the Shara Ishvalda, the damage inflicted was undeniably real.

The Shara Ishvalda, which had originally been able to rely on the Merciful Eye Carapace's absolute perception to multitask with single-minded focus, could now only depend on its two eyes to fill the gap left by the damaged Merciful Eye Carapace.

However, those eyes—degenerated from having remained underground for countless ages—did not possess outstanding vision. In a battle at this level, they were fundamentally of little use, serving only to patch the perceptual void left by the Merciful Eye Carapace.

Trying to avoid turning its head or body while simultaneously multitasking to deal with the Arch-Tempered Velkhana and Ruiner Nergigante was nothing short of wishful thinking.

After the Shara Ishvalda lost that seemingly all-encompassing control over its surroundings, the pressure on Ruiner Nergigante and the Arch-Tempered Velkhana dropped sharply. At the very least, they could finally predict the opponent's attacks by observing the Shara Ishvalda's eye movements and the orientation of its body.

Although those unreasonable, large-scale attacks could still exert terrifying suppressive force on them, at least they were now able to pose a threat to their opponent—and successfully hold it back, buying time for Logan to prepare.

No one knew what Logan was really up to by proactively asking them for help—what kind of mischief he was brewing.

Off to the side, with no interference, Logan could finally focus most of his attention on creating the Terastal Domain.

Fortunately, this place was the endpoint of the Everstream's energy. The Everstream's activity here was not as intense as in the Elder's Recess, and Logan's control over his own power far surpassed what it had been back then. As a result, he quickly analyzed the various branch-node points of the Everstream's subterranean tributaries, then began injecting massive amounts of Terastal energy to heavily cover those nodes.

After forming a Terastal grid similar to the Everstream's tributary network, only then did he begin filling in the gaps within the grid.

Very soon, under Logan's absurd computational ability, the grid was fully laid down.

By this time, Ruiner Nergigante and the Arch-Tempered Velkhana were already on the verge of collapse under the Shara Ishvalda's attacks. Fortunately, the Velkhana that had regained consciousness joined in time; only after it drew off part of the Shara Ishvalda's attention did the situation avoid worsening further.

Seeing this, the breath Logan had been holding finally eased a little.

That was the advantage of an information gap: Logan had a fair understanding of the Shara Ishvalda's abilities, while the Shara Ishvalda knew nothing about him.

After damaging its Merciful Eye Carapace, Logan reined in his aura and put on the appearance of trying to recover—his dragon roar just now had also conveyed that same meaning.

Fortunately, Ruiner Nergigante understood Logan's style well. It knew that this guy was a ruthless dragon who, to achieve the kind of battle outcome he wanted, would deliberately feign weakness—and would even deliberately fight in a domain he was not good at.

Therefore, it would absolutely not believe that dragon roar from Logan.

But it also would not stir up trouble; instead, it would actively cooperate.

This made the Shara Ishvalda form a misconception. Even with the Merciful Eye Carapace—such a crucial trump card—damaged, it chose to deal with Ruiner Nergigante and the Arch-Tempered Velkhana first, and then continue the decisive final battle with Logan!

As for the energy expenditure involved… as an existence that had already lived for who knew how long, its energy reserves were not something a battle this short could possibly exhaust!

At this level of combat, energy expenditure was secondary; physical stamina consumption was the decisive factor.

And so, that dragon stepped, little by little, into the script Logan had prepared.

By the time it sensed that something was wrong, it was already too late!

Massive Terastal pillars burst forth from the ground!

As the earth shook, the central region of Origin Isle was completely transformed into a paradise of Terastal crystallization.

Vast quantities of Terastal energy spilled out from all directions. Beneath the fissures in the ground, one could clearly see faint streams of crimson Terastal energy flowing within the solid Terastal crystals.

The thin membrane that had long covered Logan's eye membranes retracted to the corners of his eyes. His vertical pupils, glowing red from energy overflow, locked onto the Shara Ishvalda that had sensed something amiss and was charging toward him, the corners of his mouth lifting slightly.

"Realized something's wrong? Too late!"

The underground of Origin Isle was now entirely covered in Terastal crystals. Even the Terastal pillars standing at the Everstream's energy nodes continued to absorb subterranean Everstream energy, constantly filling out and thickening.

It could be said that this not only created terrain advantageous for Logan's combat and severed the transmission of bioenergy, but also completely sealed off the Shara Ishvalda's burrowing ability!

At this moment!

The Shara Ishvalda, unable to fly, had truly become a trapped beast!

Either it wiped out Logan and the other Elder Dragons—

—or it perished here completely!

There was no second option!

The ground beneath its feet no longer trembled in response to its will, and the characteristic aura of Everstream energy was completely masked by Terastal energy. Even without burrowing, the Shara Ishvalda knew exactly what the land beneath its feet had become.

A super vibration wave blasted away the three Elder Dragons that were buying time. Its frenzied eyes locked tightly onto Logan, who was no longer concealing himself.

To think that after such an ancient span of existence, it could still fall for a trap like this!

As expected, dragons could not be thought of as too noble or too simple!

Clearly a dragon aligned with order—yet behaving just like those dark things lurking underground. Was this what creatures from another world were like?

The Shara Ishvalda's already turbulent inner state completely collapsed at this moment. A furious roar erupted, sending sand and stones flying.

It raised its upper body and lifted its wing-claws high to gather power. Eight wing-claws began vibrating at high speed at a frequency different from conventional vibration waves. Then, between the two uppermost wing-claws, points of light began to appear as it condensed those vibration waves into an enormous spherical mass.

It was about to unleash its strongest attack!

In other words—the Monster Hunter version of a Rasengan!

However… the position it was in right now was Logan's home field.

Two massive Terastal pillars burst out of the ground without warning, slamming into the Shara Ishvalda's lateral support points at the waist and instantly disrupting its balance.

That was not all. After the impact, the Terastal pillars rapidly spread, assuming a posture as if to wrap around and engulf the Shara Ishvalda.

With its charge interrupted, the condensed vibration-wave sphere detonated prematurely. It did not generate much impact. Enraged, the Shara Ishvalda swiftly adjusted its posture, rotating its wing bones downward, about to shatter the Terastal pillars entangling its lower body.

But before it could launch the attack, Logan—who was controlling the Terastal pillars—decisively triggered a detonation.

Originally, the intent of this move had been to completely encase the enemy within Terastal crystal before detonating it, thereby dealing massive, omnidirectional damage. But in this rushed situation, he could only detonate the Terastal crystal that had wrapped less than one-third of the target.

Even so, the blast directly threw the Shara Ishvalda off balance, causing it to fall backward onto the ground.

"Roaar!"

The Shara Ishvalda let out an unwilling roar. Amid the violent tremors, it released a super vibration wave in place, shattering the Terastal crystal that had wrapped around it. Then it sprang back up rapidly and, for the first time, charged straight toward Logan.

At this moment, only close-quarters, flesh-against-flesh combat could vent its rage!

If it were earlier, Logan might have considered using hand-to-hand combat to wear down the Shara Ishvalda's stamina.

But now—

This was the Terastal Domain!

Logan's home field!
