Chapter 159 - Chapter 151: Threat Level — Black! Shoot Down the Moon?

Inside S.H.I.E.L.D.

"Threat Level: Black?"

Nick Fury frowned deeply. It was the first time he had ever seen such a designation.

Fortunately, the Foundation file included a detailed annotation beside the term.

> ['Threat Level' refers to the estimated danger posed by an SCP object in the event of a containment breach.]

[There are currently seven color-coded levels of threat assessment.]

[They are: White, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, Red, and Black.]

[Among them, Black represents the highest possible threat level.]

[A Black-class entity is capable of global destruction—or worse. Its containment failure may trigger an XK-Class End-of-the-World Scenario. Such entities are considered the highest priority. Most of them are Keter-class.]

As soon as the audience in the Marvel livestream finished reading, the room collectively froze.

Then—chaos.

> "Oh my god! GLOBAL destruction? An XK-class event?!"

"Holy hell—so this thing could literally end the world?"

"That's beyond Keter-level! How can something like that even be contained?"

"Poor Leon… he's definitely getting assigned to this one. This man's luck is nonexistent!"

Before the uproar could settle, more data appeared on-screen.

---

> [Standard Containment Policy:]

In accordance with Section 1, Article 4 of the January Resolution, SCP-2845 shall be jointly contained by the Foundation, the National Guard of the United States, the Department of State, the Department of Homeland Security, and the United Nations Task Force "Blue Alpha."

The O5 Council has authorized the indefinite employment of external containment consultants under Operational Policy 336.87b.

All information regarding SCP-2845 is classified as Level 3 (High Security), supervised by Special Information Team 45.

Due to the high risk of weaponization by foreign powers and rogue organizations, SCP-2845 is subject to the "CHATTERBOX Protocol" under Public Information Policy 47.1.1.

---

The chat exploded again.

> "Wait… the U.N. is involved? Even the U.S. government?!"

"The Foundation's already coordinating with multiple world powers before containment even begins?!"

"They're setting up misinformation campaigns in advance? Bro, this is next-level paranoia."

An oppressive silence settled over the viewers.

Everyone could feel it—the calm before an unprecedented storm.

Then, a new line appeared.

> [Special Containment Status: UNCONTAINED]

Silence.

> "Wait… what?"

"It's… not contained?"

"How the hell do you even start a mission like that?!"

Before panic could spread, the gravelly voice of an elderly man—the Director of the Tactical Theology Department—echoed through the screen.

"The Foundation has decided to construct Site-100 directly on location. It will serve as the permanent containment facility for SCP-2845 once the ritual protocol takes effect!"

The entire world froze.

Then—

> "Wait, they're building an entire site just to contain one SCP?"

"Are you kidding me?!"

"This thing really is divine-tier!"

The Director continued, his tone solemn and deliberate.

> "As for containment measures, the following must be observed:"

1. A central containment chamber will house SCP-2845 and 216 instances of SCP-2845-1. The internal atmosphere must consist of 96.3% hydrogen, 3.25% helium, and 0.45% ammonia, maintained at –110°C and 2.3 bar of pressure.

2. Nine concentric containment rings will be established, designed according to the Ring-AJ formation.

3. Six circular ritual chambers will be placed at 0°, 60°, 120°, 180°, 240°, and 300°, with the 0° point aligned to geographic north. Each chamber floor must contain a full lead hexagram inlaid at its center.

The livestream chat went dead silent.

No one understood what they were looking at.

---

S.H.I.E.L.D. Headquarters

Every agent stared blankly at the screen.

"This isn't science," one muttered. "It's… it's ritual design."

Nick Fury exhaled sharply.

"Don't forget," he said coldly, "the Tactical Theology Department designed this. They don't operate on science. They operate on belief."

Everyone turned to look at him.

"Think about it," Fury continued. "Most of the department's personnel are priests, scholars, and theologians. They think differently."

And they all knew SCP-2845 wasn't just another anomaly.

It was a Supreme Deity.

If it's divine, then theology—not physics—is the framework for containment.

The laws of science didn't apply here.

The faith and rituals of the Foundation's theologians did.

In this light, the containment plan suddenly made sense—at least, as much sense as anything involving the divine could.

---

Then, the Director's voice returned.

> "At the 60-degree chamber, we will conduct Procedure 410 — Cassini."

"This ritual requires containment specialists to wear six masks: Joy, Sorrow, Anger, Indifference, Fear, and Foolishness."

"They must then perform Ritual Cassini-A, a farce involving six characters trading mistakes and insults until 'Foolishness' wins a riddle game and declares himself king."

"Upon completion, the six participants must play a dice game. The result of the game is irrelevant to the procedure's success."

As the description appeared on-screen, the entire Marvel audience fell silent for several seconds.

Then—

> "Wait—what?! They're using a comedy sketch to contain a god?!"

"This has to be a joke."

"Joy, Sadness, Anger… this sounds like a kid's play, not divine containment!"

Even the Director's voice sounded hoarse by the end of the explanation, as if exhausted by the absurdity of his own words.

---

But everyone watching knew one thing:

If the Foundation was building an entire Site for it—

If the O5 Council invoked full United Nations cooperation—

If Leon Lake himself had been called to the Tactical Theology Department—

Then this wasn't a joke.

This was war against a god.

And the operation's name was already whispered among the Overseers:

"SCP-2845: The Stag."

The threat was classified BLACK.

And the whispered contingency plan…

was chillingly simple:

> If containment fails—shoot down the moon.
