When Hades reappeared in the Garden of Eden, he brought with him his son and two daughters.
Bianco and Nico, in particular, seemed out of place with everything around them; the confusion in both demigods' eyes was so evident that it made Godwyn wonder what they were thinking. After all, it's not every day that someone spends a few days in a hotel and decades have passed.
Hades' other daughter, Hazel, was much calmer than her brother and sister; there was a melancholic aura around her. An aura that Nico and she shared, although Bianca had it, it was much lighter than her brother's.
"This Godwyn, you lived with him for some time." Hades caressed all his children's hair and spoke in a gentle tone. It was hard to believe that this was the cold, majestic, and indifferent Lord of the Underworld.
He especially caressed Bianca's hair, whom he preferred more, as she reminded him a lot of himself when he was younger. Just like Bianca, Hades always protected his younger brothers and sisters, no matter what.
"Welcome to the Garden of Eden." Godwyn said with a smile, and with his appearance, he seemed inviting and gentle, which eased the tension among the three teenagers.
"This beautiful girl beside me will show you to your quarters." He pointed to Thalia and said with a gentle smile, making the princess of Olympus roll her eyes, but she looked amicably at the first demigods of the Golden Order.
Seeing everyone follow Thalia, Godwyn turned to Hades; his smile disappeared, and he spoke in a deep tone. "Beware of your grandmother; she seems to be plotting something against you again."
Hades was not at all surprised by Godwyn's words; if there was anyone who disliked him, it was his grandmother, who specifically created a giant to take his throne, this giant was named Alcyoneus, also known as the Curse of Hades.
Recalling that Gaea dared to influence his former lover and daughter, Hades' eyes became terribly cold, eyes that looked like a madman's. "She will pay everything she owes me in due time." He said in a calm tone, but Godwyn felt a terrible murderous intent emanating from the God of the Underworld.
This made him show a satisfied expression. He did not trust Gaea at all; the primordial goddess was too dangerous. After all, the title of Greatest Greek Conspirator was not a fame gained casually; she dethroned two God Kings to earn the epithet.
As for allies, Godwyn scoffed at it. Gaea wanted something from him, and he wanted something from her. It was an exchange of interests; there was no loyalty in commercial agreements, only profit and nothing more. Besides, Hades was a much better partner target than Gaea, who could betray him at any moment.
"I will leave my son and daughters with you; they might be some trouble, but they are good children." Hades looked at Godwyn and said in a calm tone. He knew that all his children had traumas and complications, but they were good children.
"Don't worry, they will fit in quickly." Godwyn promised with a tone full of confidence. If there was one thing he knew how to do in life, it was to make friends. Which could be seen with the number of allies he had in the Norse Pantheon.
Hades nodded and disappeared in a cloud of black smoke, leaving Godwyn alone with a talking head not far away.
"How rare for a god to love his offspring so much." Mimir said with a slightly emotional tone. He himself had some children with mortals, but admitted that he never truly loved his sons and daughters. He preferred not to love them than to suffer their deaths. However, looking back, he regretted having done so.
Even if it would hurt when they died, the memories they could create together were precious, and they would cherish them like treasures. Unfortunately, that can no longer happen.
"When you live daily with death, you learn to value the small things." Godwyn replied in a soft tone. He could understand Hades; mortals' lives might be short, but they were full of life, pain, and love.
Compared to the gods, who could remain still for a thousand years doing nothing, human life was full of vitality; perhaps that's why Zeus loved human women—they loved with such intensity as no goddess could.
"Godwyn, of all the children of the Lord of the Underworld, the boy has monstrous talent." Mimir spoke to Godwyn, who now smiled at the God of Knowledge's words. Of course, he knew that.
Although Hazel was monstrously strong, Nico even more monstrous, the boy had practically inherited almost everything from his father. When Nico became the God of the Underworld, he would easily become a Lord God, as his compatibility with the Divine Position of the Underworld was more than excellent.
As for Bianca, the girl was somewhat weak by the standards of a child of a powerful god like Hades. Not that she wasn't powerful, but compared to Nico, Hazel, Thalia, and Percy, Bianca was truly overshadowed by the impressive feats of the other four.
"As for the two girls, Hazel is more talented while Bianca is weaker, but also very talented. Both will be very suitable to assist Nico in administering the Underworld of the Golden Order." Mimir commented with a smile. Hades' three children were powerful demigods.
"But Bianca seems to be the Lord of the Underworld's favorite; I'm surprised he accepted Nico being gifted the Position of the God of the Underworld." Mimir added with a touch of interest in his voice. It was more than clear that Hades preferred Bianca to Nico and Hazel from the subtle interaction between father and daughter.
"No matter what he thinks, I choose who will be the Lord of the Underworld." Godwyn said in a calm tone. He did not think Bianca was suitable to inherit the Divine Position of the God of the Underworld, especially since the girl abandoned her brother to live her own life.
Godwyn could understand and accept that she wanted to live her own life, but that doesn't mean he thought it was right. Abandoning her brother to live freely was an irresponsibility of gigantic proportions. Especially in this world, where a demigod could die at any moment.
As Godwyn was thinking deeply, he felt someone touching his arm and saw a girl with golden/amber eyes and lush curly hair, dark as a roasted coffee bean; she looked beautiful.
"Hello, Hazel." Godwyn greeted the girl with a smile. "Would you like a drink?"
"Including alcoholic?" She asked with a smiling expression.
Godwyn laughed and spoke in an amused tone. "You can choose anything, but I'm not responsible if your father comes knocking on my door."
A trace of guilt appeared in the girl's beautiful golden eyes; she always felt she had hurt her father, betraying him previously with the events in Alaska.
"An orange juice, please." She said politely as she sat on the seat in front of the drink counter. She looked at the severed head not far away with a curious expression. She was not afraid; she had seen much worse in the underworld, where she had been dead.
"Hello, child." Mimir greeted the girl with an amused smile, seeing her shocked expression. He really liked it when children saw him for the first time. "I am Mimir, God of Wisdom and the Most Beautiful Head of All Pantheons!"
Hazel calmed down and laughed at Mimir's words; she introduced herself politely. "Nice to meet you, Lord Mimir. I am Hazel Levesque."
"Your juice." Godwyn served the body with juice to Hazel and waited for the questions to come.
Drinking the juice, Hazel looked at Godwyn with a thoughtful gaze and spoke in a gentle and polite tone. She could see that Thalia and Godwyn were gods. "My father didn't tell me anything, Lord Godwyn. Not even the reason why we are with you."
"Your presence in this place is an exchange of interests between me and your father. You and your brother and sister will be my subordinates in the future; he just brought you here for us to familiarize ourselves and build bonds." Godwyn hid nothing and spoke directly. Lying would only prevent a friendship that hadn't even begun from ever truly existing.
Hazel was genuinely surprised; she had always been cautious with the gods, especially after the events in Alaska, where she and her mother died. She always expected lies from Godwyn, but never the truth.
"You're not much help now, but you will be in the future; just relax and let's have some fun." Godwyn said with a laugh, seeing the surprised expression on the girl.
"By the way, welcome to the pirate ship!" He said with a big smile, making Hazel's eyes widen, but a smile appeared on her lips.
"I'm waiting for your orders, Captain." She said with an equally amused smile on her lips. Although Hazel didn't know what to expect from the future, she felt it wouldn't be so bad with such a cheerful captain.

Note: Do you like Bianca? Honestly, I don't really like her, but I can understand her reasons for abandoning Nico. After all, anyone wants to stop babysitting their brother and live their own life.
