Lyanna
I'm sitting on the balcony of my room, staring into space. I don't know how long I've been in that position until I feel a presence behind me.
I lazily tilt my head to see who it is.
Lucien.
My heart skips a beat, and I straighten myself on the couch, bracing myself for what's coming next.
I tear my eyes away from him, looking somewhere else. My head is trying to imagine what must have transpired between Ted and him.
Speaking of Ted, did he already leave?
The space beside me on the couch dips gently, signaling he's beside me.
"What a fierce guardian you have," he speaks up.
"I'm surprised as you are," I reply, my voice barely above a whisper.
Silence falls between us for a moment.
I seem fine, but I'm truly not. Why's he suddenly calm? He normally would have been ranting about some nonsense by now, or would have emphasized for the six thousandth time that he hates me.
I don't like how calm he is. It's putting me at unease.
