I exhale deeply for the last time before entering the bar. My brain feels fuzzy, thick with some kind of fog. I drag myself to a secluded spot, and plop my butt there.
I don't really want to drink. I just need the bubbling atmosphere.
It's been really lonely these days without Lyanna around. I might as well just crack.
I sigh deeply, burying my face in my palms. I feel so worried about her. Ever since she went back to Lucien's place, she hasn't called or texted. I wonder if he's keeping her hostage.
I rest against the chair, watching the people troop in and out of the store. Everyone seems so carefree, and bright, trooping into the bar like they have no worry in the world.
Don't they have friends who are ignoring them or something?
I grind my teeth, mentally berating myself for such a silly thought.
In that moment, my eyes catch sight of someone familiar. Black hair, icy blue eyes, tanned skin...
