At that moment, the sleeping Tony stirred, opened his eyes, and sat upright.
"Pichu..."
Seeing Pichu, Tony got up and stretched his stiff body before asking,
"J.A.R.V.I.S., what time is it?"
**J.A.R.V.I.S.:** "Sir, it's 7:35 in the morning."
Tony nodded, glanced at Pichu, and said,
"I'm going to wash up first."
He'd pulled another late night and ended up sleeping right at the workbench. He still wasn't really awake.
"Go, go."
Pichu waved his right paw, instantly noticing the bloodshot tiredness in Tony's eyes.
Judging by the time, the effects of palladium poisoning should be right around the corner.
Soon, after freshening up, Tony returned to the lab.
Looking at Pichu, Tony said with a smile,
"So—what brings you to the lab this early? Here to check on your new suit?"
Four months back, Tony had finished building the compact reactor generator. He'd upgraded it several times, but it was still much bigger than Pichu himself, so it lived in a spare bedroom. Pichu spent most days charging there, rarely coming out—maybe once every ten days or so.
So, Tony's only guess for seeing Pichu here early was curiosity about the new armor.
"That's right," Pichu nodded.
Tony rubbed his temples.
"The 3D simulation's complete, and everything looks solid, but we still have to test it once it's built."
"No rush."
Pichu studied Tony's face and asked,
"You seem wiped out. Want to rest a bit?"
"It's nothing. Just the price of burning the midnight oil." Tony yawned, then grinned,
"Say—once your Pikachu armor's finished, want to take it for a spin in the sky? Just for fun?"
*Spur-of-the-moment adventure...*
Only someone like Tony could say that so casually.
Still, Pichu couldn't help feeling a bit of interest.
He'd gotten the ability of electromagnetic levitation after evolving to 3-Star, but hadn't tried flying yet. Using the Iron Armor for his first flight sounded pretty cool.
"I'm in."
He gave Tony a thumbs-up—well, as thumb-like as Pikachu's stubby little paws could manage.

### Three days later—
The Pikachu Armor was finally ready.
Its colors were gold and red—mostly red, with gold accents. The chest's reactor was round, and the suit's overall shape matched Pikachu almost exactly. It was kind of like seeing Pikachu in a brand-new "skin."
Soon, with the help of J.A.R.V.I.S. and the lab's robotic arms, Pichu suited up in the Pikachu Armor for the first time.
Inside, a holographic control panel appeared in front of him.
"Xiaopi, how's the instant language translation system?" Pichu asked.
(Tony had integrated the instant translation system directly into the armor itself; there was no way Pichu was going to wear both a headset and armor at once.)
As for "Xiaopi," that was the name Pichu chose for the armor's AI assistant.
A sweet, digital female voice answered in his ear:
"Sir, the language translation system is fully operational."
"Tony, can you hear me?" Pichu ran a quick test of the translation system.
"Loud and clear," Tony replied, nodding. "Looks like the translator integrates perfectly with the suit's main functions."
Satisfied, Pichu began testing the armor's other abilities.
First up: the flight system.
Like most of Tony's suits, control was mainly neural: just a thought, and the armor responded.
**Whirrr, whirrr…**
On command, the armor's palms and feet flared, ion thrusters igniting gently. Thanks to Xiaopi's auto-stabilization, Pichu lifted into the air—wobbling at first, but quickly getting the hang of it.
Next, Tony led Pichu to the weapons test area.
Pichu extended his right paw toward a row of Coke cans, mentally locked on—and with a quick "pew," a compact energy blast shot from his paw, instantly blowing one can apart.
No problem with flight or the palm cannon. Now: time to try recharging.
With a thought, Pichu released golden lightning from the electric sacs on his cheeks.
"Sir, a large influx of electricity has been detected. Absorb and recharge?" Xiaopi asked.
"Charge," Pichu answered.
He watched as the suit's energy meter inched up from 100% to 101%, 102%... It wasn't super fast—maybe two to three seconds per percent—but reliable. He remembered how, in the first Avengers movie, Tony had taken a full blast from Thor and the suit's energy went from nearly empty to 300% instantly.
But honestly, Pichu didn't care much. He wasn't planning to use the Pikachu Armor for combat anyway.
Once recharging was confirmed and surplus energy was drained with a short flight, Pichu called the test complete.
