Chapter 1 - The start

Once upon a time, there was a hero.

Alongside his party, he cleared the Gate and reached a world beyond his home world named Furna.

Though when he tried to return… he couldn't.

Furna was gone , neither destroyed nor abondened.

Just… beyond restoration.

With no way back, he led his people,,,,,,,now a kingdom without a king,,,,,into this new world.

They called their new world Aarambh.

At first, magic helped them survive.

But day by day, it faded.

Until one day…it was gone.

And the people of Furna became nothing more than ordinary humans , left only with memories of the past , no evidence to prove their own homeworld.

"What are you doing, Laf?"

I looked up from the book.

"Reading that story again?" Buram sighed. "I told you the story fake. Why do you even keep reading it?"

If you're wondering who Laf is well… that's me.

And Buram? He calls himself my best friend.

Though it's only been a week since we got to know each other .

"Who said it's fake?" I frowned. "I believe it's real. Don't you think it's strange? The way this world was discovered , named and especially the magic and weapons people supposedly had before the First Generation?"

If you all are wondering what the first generation is well let me explain.

In our world, the First Generation refers to the time before a major change happens and brings either a loss or gain to this world .

We're currently in the Third Generation.

The First began with the creation of the first town.

The Second brought the Dome—a barrier that keeps monsters out.

It's been about a hundred years since then.

And now…the Third Generation continues, without any major change.

"There you go again with magic," Buram groaned. "There's no such thing. Think about it—if people really had magic, why would they leave their own world just to live in one without it?"

"Did you even read the book properly?" I said , while staring at him . "It clearly says their world was beyond gone. Completely beyond restoration."

"Then explain this," Buram crossed his arms. "Why does the book say half the people refused to leave?"

"Well… that's because—"

"Enough chit-chatting. Break's over."

We turned.

"Let's go before Sir Kai gets mad," she added.

Oh well this is Stela.

And yes unlike Buram , Stela and I go wayyyy back…

Okay well not that far back. But still—longer than Buram.

"Yeah, she's right," I said, standing up. "We'll miss our weapon training."

"See, Stela?" Buram smirked. "He only thinks about weapons and magic. Unlike him, I actually care about not getting scolded by Kai."

"Oh really?" a voice said from behind him.

We froze.

Sir Kai stood there, glaring.

"It's Kai Sir to you."

Thud.

His hand met Buram's head.

And just like that… another life lesson delivered well physically.

Sir Kai sighed. "You three again. How many times have I told you not to come to the roof during break?"

He pointed at Buram. "Carry this idiot and get back to the class."

"What about you, sir?" Stela asked.

"Go on. I'll be there in a few minutes."

While going down the stairs with Buram on my back, I asked,"Do you think it happened again?"

Stela looked at me, concerned. "Most likely. Kai sir never comes to the rooftop unless it's an entry… or to scold us."

Well right—entry I probably should explain that.

An entry is when a monster somehow manages to get inside the Dome.

And yeah it's dangerous.

And if you think we are bunch of dumbos staying on roof , even though guards and teacher prohibit it due to the flying based entry and all we stay , because most of the students don't dare to come there and it's quiet peaceful .

"Well, recently there have been frequent cases of entry," Buram said from my back. "And judging by the stress on Kai's face… it's definitely one."

I glanced at him—and threw him to the ground.

"Ouch!"

"You deserved that."

"Let's go. It's none of our concern," Stela said.

"Maybe not for you," Buram replied, getting up, "but for us, it's a great opportunity to fight and show our strength."

"Relax," I said. "By the time we get there, your brother would've already killed it."

Yes—sir Kai is Buram's elder brother.

Explains a lot, doesn't it?

"Well, ignoring the fact that my brother will kill the monster… let's go check it out, pleaseee," Buram said.

Stela sighed. "Are you dumb?"

"I guess there's no point in deciding whether to go or not ," I said. "He already left."

Buram was already running.

"One day, this guy will be the reason for our graves," Stela muttered.

Well if you'd think we'd stop him.

We didn't.

We reached the rooftop.

The air felt heavier.

Then we saw it.

A flying monster hovered above the dome—its wings slicing the air, claws gleaming, and a long beak sharp enough to tear through a steel armor.

Yeah… this was a terrible idea.

But the most terrifying thing there…wasn't even the monster , which was making strong gust of winds just by flapping his wings.

It was Sir Kai.

He stood still, calm, holding his bow—Darth.

Black and blue, emitting an aura .

It was so beautiful , my eyes shined.

For a moment, everything went silent.

Then,

He released the arrow.

It shot forward—and pierced straight through the monster's skull.

A cry echoed.

Then silence.

The creature fell.

And just like that… it was over.

Sir Kai turned.

"I told you all to go back… ah, leave it."

He pushed us toward the stairs. "Go to class."

We reached class. About fifteen students sat inside.

Don't worry, I won't bore you with too much explanation.

This school is both the ground to train and study , located near the Dome to make sure to have more Training ground without disturbing others.

There are different courses:

Healers, Weaponry, Potions, Combat, Engineering, Finance…

Students can take multiple but not all of course.

As for us—

I chose Weaponry, Combat, and Engineering.

Stela took Doctor and Potions.

Buram chose Combat and Tamer.

We also share one course—Adventure.

Where we form parties and go beyond the Dome.

Though… that rarely happens.

Probably for the best.

"Oye, everyone—settle down," Rosa said.

Our class monitor.

"Chill, Rosa, kai sir isn't here we can still talk." Buram said.

Bam.

Another hit.

At this point, it's basically routine.

It's only been two weeks , since our class started , but one rule is clear among us all—

If Rosa says sit, you sit.

Still not sure who's scarier—her or sir Kai and well i am not planning to find it out.

She dragged Buram back to his seat.

"I'll start the roll call. Stay silent."

The class went quiet.

For once.

Well not the most exciting moment, I know…

But calm moments like these don't last long.

Because what's coming next…

Is the beginning of something bigger.

A story about a party—

the one that will change everything.

A change that will reshape this world.

Yeah… sounds dramatic.

Just wait.

This is where it all begins.
