After what felt like an eternity in the cramped SUV, they finally reached the borders of the Silver Dawn pack.
The pack territory was actually quite close to where Keiran's house was located. The capital, where the Lycan Palace is situated, was much further away.
As the car wound through the dark forest roads, Selene realized why they had taken the vehicle. If the brothers had run in their wolf forms, they would have reached the pack house in half the time.
They could have easily carried her on their backs, too. But Keiran was a human, and he couldn't keep up with a wolf's pace. She felt a small pang of guilt; the brothers had clearly compromised their speed just to accommodate her friend.
It was late at night when the massive stone gates of the pack house came into view. Two pack warriors stood guard, their bodies tall and alert.
